The Digital Age Essay
The Digital Age
The digital age is staring us in the face from the near future. We already see countless instances of
digital technology emerging more and more in our every day lives. Cell phones are equipped with
voice recognition software, and are able to take photographs and send them wirelessly across the
globe, almost instantaneously. When information is captured and transmitted into a digital format,
possibilities for that data become endless. Soon we will no longer be inconvenienced with reality;
all of our sensory shopping experiences will be converted to digital information and will be fed to
us through our computers. Digital information is in a much more malleable format. It can easily be
duplicated, changed, or processed...show more content...
The information created will be able to be shared by anyone with a computer. The power base that
the digital age relies on for existence, is technology. The rapid developing technology is absolutely
necessary for the digital age to exist. Without super powerful microchips, and high bandwidth
transfer wires, the digital age would be a figment of our imagination. Digital technology is computer
based, so the millions of calculations per second, and ability to transfer large amounts of data over
long distances are absolutely necessary. Without computers, the data might be collected; but there
would be nothing to process and transfer the information.
When new technology is invented, it is sometimes distributed to a society that might not be ready
for it. Few corporations consider this and are only interested in spreading their product to the
consumer as soon as possible. New technology is often flawed and taken advantage of by
individuals who know how to manipulate it. This is a considerably large problem when dealing with
digital technology. Digital information is not a three dimension tangible object. So it is easily
tampered with and destroyed without people noticing. When the damage is finally noticed, the party
responsible is usually untraceable and in a completely different area of the world to begin with.
The potential value of this new technology seems almost

Essay On Mega-Events
As a result of the high cost and potential to impact the region that is hosting sporting mega–events,
the idea of legacy–the developmental paybacks generated by the event–has typically played a central
role in planning them. Some scholars have suggested that the infrastructure that is required for these
mega–events is believed to be integral to stimulating more economic development, which
consequently contributes to business vitality and showcasing the ability of the region or city to
compete in a globalized market (Zimbalist, 2016). Researchers have highlighted the vision of these
sporting mega–events as serving as the generator of national and local social and economic
development. This development includes the potential to enhance...show more content...
Thus, such outcomes should be seen as being grounded in political processes, beginning with the bid
preparation and continuing through the aftermath of such sporting mega–events. Common practices
with respect to these sporting mega–events include underestimating the costs, underestimating
environmental impacts, overestimating revenues and over–valuing economic development effects.
For instance, after the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa,
a majority of these stadiums and game venues were left sitting empty and thus have remained
underutilized, despite the large maintenance costs which is mainly as a result of a lack of planning
to make these venues useful to the local communities (Maennig, 2012). Additionally, tourist
predictions for the 2002 FIFA World Cup that was co
–hosted by South Korea and Japan were madly
optimistic as South Korea attracted only 30,000 additional tourists and Japan experienced similar
numbers relative to the previous year. Studying and analyzing employment generated by the 1996
Atlanta Olympics and the 2000 Sydney Olympics has illustrated that even though there was a
substantial increase in the creation of jobs, the majority of the employment was expected to
short–term and low–skilled. Therefore, questioning the reliability of the economic impact
assessments that are conducted by the organizers of these sporting mega–events, whose arguments
generally exaggerate the benefit side of the cost–benefit

Definition Of Love Essay
What is love? According to Mega essay. com love seems to be the main underlying goal that we all
strive for in our lifetimes. For me love is when you attracted to a person without any reason. Love is
a variety of different feelings, and attitudes that ranges from interpersonal affection to pleasure. Love
is utterly unconditional and only truly exists between family members, or between people and a
deity. Love is where you feel that the person is important to you. For me the meaning of love is my
family and friends.
There are many types of love, love for family which is the unconditional love, meaning its
everlasting and timeless. Next is love for friends. Last is conceptual love which is love for material
things like bags, shoes, etc. There are three types of love first is "Eros" It is a passionate and intense
form of love that arouses romantic and sexual feelings. Next is "Philia" which is love for friends.
Last is ''Agape" which is spiritual love. Sometimes we used the word "Love " to express our
emotions or feelings. For me the greatest love of all is love for...show more content...
We have many kinds of love. Make them feel that you love your family and your friends. Love
your family to have a strong relationship. Respect your friend to have a good relationship with
them, always say or always make them feel that you loved them. Being in love with each other
doesn't mean you have to be lover, sometimes you just have to be friends. Don't think that love is for
your boyfriend or girlfriend always remember that love is for all people who loves you. Accept the
love that they gave you and give loved for the people who gave loved to you. Like what I said for
me family is the greatest love of all , I can't imagine my life without my family. Love our family,
family is the one who accept us. Make them feel your loved. Give love to your family, friends and

Mega Event Essay
The biggest assembly of young legal minds, NSU Law Fest Season I was held at North South
University premises from December 11 to 13, 2017, organized by North South University Law and
Mooting Society (NSULMS). The three–day long mega event was designed into ten segments, also
described as 'episodes', where law scholars, law students from different universities, representatives
from different law chambers, national and international organizations were present. The Hon'ble
Deputy Speaker of Bangladesh National Parliament, Advocate Fazle Rabbi Miah, MP was kind
enough to grace the Inauguration Ceremony as the Chief Guest on December 11, 2017. Dr. Gias

A workshop on Refugee Rights, the third episode of the Fest, was conducted by the United Nations
High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Bangladesh, signifying the importance of the on–going
refugee crisis in Bangladesh. Also, an overall Refugee situation, rights and laws were covered in this
Workshop. After the lecture session, there was an interactive session between the UNHCR
representatives and the students. Students from North South University and other Universities were
present in this fruitful workshop. The last episode for the first day of the three–day long event was
the 'Open–Mic Session'. This was an open episode based on the Oxford Union Procedure where NSU
students and participants from other universities enjoyed the taste of debate, discussion, and
thought–provoking dialogue on contemporary legal issues such as the 16th amendment of
Bangladesh Constitution, voting rights of a Third Gender, Teesta water dispute, Gender Equality,
etc. Mr. Iftekhar Mahmud, renowned law scholar, judged the participants and the best four speakers
were awarded. 12th of December, Day two of the three–day long Fest started with the episode titled
'Career Fair,' where fifteen renowned law chambers and organizations were gracious enough to take
some time out from their busy schedules right before the Court shuts down, and provided
information to the NSU law students about their opportunities and scope of work after completion of
their undergrad degree of LL.B.,

Essay On Mega-Events
The mega–events not only impact the host region but also the neighbouring regions, which is an idea
neglected in much of the economic impacts research. Neighboring regions can provide travel
opportunities and accommodations for tourists to the mega–events. During the 2012 Yeosu Expo,
due to the peak visitor periods, Yeosu city could not meet the demand for accommodations.
Therefore, overnight visitors had to stay in the neighboring regions. Furthermore, the
accommodations relatively at a lower price compared to Yeosu city also encouraged visitors to stay
in the neighboring regions (Lee, Mjelde & Kwon, 2015). The research suggests that cooperation
between the host community and the neighbouring regions contribute to increase the...show more

The computable general equilibrium model is also a type of economic impact measurement tool. It
consists of equations describing model variables and a database consistent with the model equations
and used to estimate the net macroeconomic and industry effects and for tourism policy analysis
(Dwyer, 2015). Comparative static and dynamic are two broad categories of computable general
equilibrium models. Blake (2009) states that a comparative static model compares the economy at
two distinct points in time without modeling any explicit time periods or time path. And a dynamic
model traces each variable through time, often at annual intervals so that the adjustment path of the
economy can be examined. The computable general equilibrium model is not a forecasting tool
though it can simulate future impacts of policy changes (Dwyer, 2015). One limitation of the
computable general equilibrium model is that it likely fail to capture some of the costs and benefits
associated with the transition and lead to overstating or understating the benefits from the change in
trade policy (Hosny, 2013). Additionally, the computable general equilibrium model may have
limited possibilities for rigorous testing against experience as although CGE models are quantitative,
they are not empirical in the sense of econometric modeling but theoretical (Hertel et al., 2007).

Can We Really Trust the Media? Essay
Can We Really Trust The News Media?
Can the people of the United States of America trust their modern news media? Since early colonial
days, various forms of news coverage have existed in this country. And for many years now, the
reliability of the information delivered by the media has been heavily scrutinized. It seems that this
issue is becoming more and more significant in the 21st Century. Ronald Roach, executive editor of
DiverseEducation.com and Diverse: Issues in Higher Education magazine, notes that "more than
ever, the Americannews media are under public scrutiny for the way individual reporters conduct
themselves, for how news coverage on major events is carried out and for the balance media
organizations purport their...show more content...
Television news shows tend to emphasize negative issues and frequently portray violent or extreme
news stories. It seems that television medium for news, with its large visual aspect, lends itself
particularly well to emotional stimulation. Apparently due to the desire for increased profit; many in
the media will display whatever has a potential to increase viewers, ignoring ethical principles.
Part of this ethical problem is due to the way the overall nature of news media is changing. The
former news director of the ABC Information Radio Network and past chairman of the
Radio–Television News Directors Association, Rob Sunde says,
News programming has become a cheap alternative to entertainment programming, and the lines that
once separated the two have become blurred. The pressure to create impactful and profitable news
programming for prime time will only become more intense. Young people––long on enthusiasm,
short on journalism––will burn ever brighter trails across the nighttime skies, and the American
people will become inured to it. The danger is not so much what will become of electronic news as
what will become of the public's perception of it, its believability, and its relevance to our lives"
(Rob Sunde).
The news media is turning into more of an entertainment outlet than an actual source of factual news.
This change is a reaction to the longing of present

Gods And Goddesses Essay
Carter Ronca Professor Robinson February 10, 2015 First Unit Assessment Essay Gods and
Goddesses The beginning of religion coexists with the beginning of humans trying to take control
over the world and protect themselves and limit their vulnerability to the outside forces. The need
of early human society is the same everywhere. This need of protection eventually evolves down
the road to the need for freedom and escape from pain. The development of central governments
would lead to the formation of divine kings and empires. This growth would unify the different
goals and the needs of the people. However, it would also have a huge effect on the underlying
nature of early religions. The early conception of Ancient Egyptians religion is not that easy. Very
little artifacts have been discovered...show more content...
"In the world of giant metaphors, which the Egyptian temple represented, each element is the
overall architectural programme played both a physical functional role and metaphorical one in
symbolizing some aspect of the temple's underlying meaning and purpose." Each temple was
divided into zones. The first was the open area. Next, were the outer courts that were assessable to
the priests and on very rare occasions to the common people. Last, were the inner halls where
only purified priest could enter. The sanctuary was also found in the inner halls and only kings
and the very high priests were allowed in this area. Beyond these zones laid areas that were central
to the everyday role of the temples. Here administrative chamber, gardens, schools, libraries and
areas used for various uses. The furniture of the temples in the form of obelisks and statues had very
distinct decorations and inscriptions. These served as intricate interacting parts making temples
worlds within worlds. Temples preserved not only the gods, but also the society where they were

Mega Merger Case Study
Mergers. Acquisitions. Mega–mergers. Recent years in healthcare have witnessed some of the
biggest companies acquiring one another at alarming rates. However, the Wall Street Journal
released an article at the end of October that has everyone talking – one of the largest owners of
drugstores in the United States is considering buying one of the largest health insurers in the United
States. That is right, CVS Health might be purchasing Aetna for approximately $66 billion.

Samuelson talks about the fact that this type of merger would be incredibly important, but why?
Medical enterprises are striving to deliver a higher quality of care through the use of technology.
Mergers and acquisitions are encouraged through the need to have a stronghold on valuable data
analytics. Samuelson writes:
"CVS is a diversified healthcare company with operations in pharmacy benefit management,
post–acute care and a strong network of health care clinics – it's not just a drug store chain. By
merging with CVS, Aetna gains access to these rich data sources to drive better healthcare
practices. The same is true for CVS in reverse. It gets to tap Aetna's databases and discover, say,
which of its policy–holders haven't received their flu shot and could be solicited by CVS."
The article in the Washington Post points out that even though this acquisition–merger process has
been accelerated in recent years – it's only going to gain momentum in as we move into the future of

Mega Mitchell Essay
One day the richest people in Las Vegas had a baby. They named him Mitchell. Everyone was
talking about him, and how they think he's going to turn up. "He's going to be a magnificent
better". But Mitchell had a much "bigger" future ahead of him. Mitchell was an average baby.
Average sized, average shaped, and acted like a normal baby. Something strange was happening
with him as he started to get older though. Every single toy he got was breaking when he played
with it. Mitchell also was growing at an alarming rate, his parents couldn't keep him in a crib for
even a week. They started to get nervous, "Why is he growing so quickly" they were saying. One
day his parents rented a truck for the day and they drove Mitchell to a park, just so they...show more

Except he wasn't paying to live in the country. The president eventually got disappointed and gave
Mega Mitch one last order, big enough that if it would keep him in the country. If not he would
have to leave America. This reminded Mega Mitch of when he was in school, but this time, he
was really confident. The president said he had 24 hours to find a huge diamond that was about
the size of him and make the best art sculpture he would ever make. Mega Mitch knew it was
going to be hard enough to find a diamond that size, and even harder to make an art sculpture out
of the toughest/hardest material on Earth. He also didn't have anything to dig with, so he made a
giant pickaxe, but it took him a while to make it because it was out of iron. Mega Mitch's 24
hours was almost up, so he rushed to Arizona where there was a lot of space to dig. He struck the
ground with his pickaxe so hard it made a crack in the Earth, creating the Grand Canyon. That
strike was so hard that it broke his pickaxe into pieces and he ran out of time. Sadly Mega Mitch
was kicked out of America. Before he left he kindly asked the president if he could travel around
America to visit the places he's never been. Some say that while passing South Dakota, punched a
huge stone making Mount Rushmore, his final art creation, then left

  • 1. The Digital Age Essay The Digital Age The digital age is staring us in the face from the near future. We already see countless instances of digital technology emerging more and more in our every day lives. Cell phones are equipped with voice recognition software, and are able to take photographs and send them wirelessly across the globe, almost instantaneously. When information is captured and transmitted into a digital format, possibilities for that data become endless. Soon we will no longer be inconvenienced with reality; all of our sensory shopping experiences will be converted to digital information and will be fed to us through our computers. Digital information is in a much more malleable format. It can easily be duplicated, changed, or processed...show more content... The information created will be able to be shared by anyone with a computer. The power base that the digital age relies on for existence, is technology. The rapid developing technology is absolutely necessary for the digital age to exist. Without super powerful microchips, and high bandwidth transfer wires, the digital age would be a figment of our imagination. Digital technology is computer based, so the millions of calculations per second, and ability to transfer large amounts of data over long distances are absolutely necessary. Without computers, the data might be collected; but there would be nothing to process and transfer the information. When new technology is invented, it is sometimes distributed to a society that might not be ready for it. Few corporations consider this and are only interested in spreading their product to the consumer as soon as possible. New technology is often flawed and taken advantage of by individuals who know how to manipulate it. This is a considerably large problem when dealing with digital technology. Digital information is not a three dimension tangible object. So it is easily tampered with and destroyed without people noticing. When the damage is finally noticed, the party responsible is usually untraceable and in a completely different area of the world to begin with. The potential value of this new technology seems almost Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Essay On Mega-Events As a result of the high cost and potential to impact the region that is hosting sporting mega–events, the idea of legacy–the developmental paybacks generated by the event–has typically played a central role in planning them. Some scholars have suggested that the infrastructure that is required for these mega–events is believed to be integral to stimulating more economic development, which consequently contributes to business vitality and showcasing the ability of the region or city to compete in a globalized market (Zimbalist, 2016). Researchers have highlighted the vision of these sporting mega–events as serving as the generator of national and local social and economic development. This development includes the potential to enhance...show more content... Thus, such outcomes should be seen as being grounded in political processes, beginning with the bid preparation and continuing through the aftermath of such sporting mega–events. Common practices with respect to these sporting mega–events include underestimating the costs, underestimating environmental impacts, overestimating revenues and over–valuing economic development effects. For instance, after the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, a majority of these stadiums and game venues were left sitting empty and thus have remained underutilized, despite the large maintenance costs which is mainly as a result of a lack of planning to make these venues useful to the local communities (Maennig, 2012). Additionally, tourist predictions for the 2002 FIFA World Cup that was co –hosted by South Korea and Japan were madly optimistic as South Korea attracted only 30,000 additional tourists and Japan experienced similar numbers relative to the previous year. Studying and analyzing employment generated by the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and the 2000 Sydney Olympics has illustrated that even though there was a substantial increase in the creation of jobs, the majority of the employment was expected to short–term and low–skilled. Therefore, questioning the reliability of the economic impact assessments that are conducted by the organizers of these sporting mega–events, whose arguments generally exaggerate the benefit side of the cost–benefit Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 5. Essay On Mega-Events The mega–events not only impact the host region but also the neighbouring regions, which is an idea neglected in much of the economic impacts research. Neighboring regions can provide travel opportunities and accommodations for tourists to the mega–events. During the 2012 Yeosu Expo, due to the peak visitor periods, Yeosu city could not meet the demand for accommodations. Therefore, overnight visitors had to stay in the neighboring regions. Furthermore, the accommodations relatively at a lower price compared to Yeosu city also encouraged visitors to stay in the neighboring regions (Lee, Mjelde & Kwon, 2015). The research suggests that cooperation between the host community and the neighbouring regions contribute to increase the...show more content... The computable general equilibrium model is also a type of economic impact measurement tool. It consists of equations describing model variables and a database consistent with the model equations and used to estimate the net macroeconomic and industry effects and for tourism policy analysis (Dwyer, 2015). Comparative static and dynamic are two broad categories of computable general equilibrium models. Blake (2009) states that a comparative static model compares the economy at two distinct points in time without modeling any explicit time periods or time path. And a dynamic model traces each variable through time, often at annual intervals so that the adjustment path of the economy can be examined. The computable general equilibrium model is not a forecasting tool though it can simulate future impacts of policy changes (Dwyer, 2015). One limitation of the computable general equilibrium model is that it likely fail to capture some of the costs and benefits associated with the transition and lead to overstating or understating the benefits from the change in trade policy (Hosny, 2013). Additionally, the computable general equilibrium model may have limited possibilities for rigorous testing against experience as although CGE models are quantitative, they are not empirical in the sense of econometric modeling but theoretical (Hertel et al., 2007). 2 Volunteeringrefers to a kind of activity that Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Can We Really Trust the Media? Essay Can We Really Trust The News Media? Can the people of the United States of America trust their modern news media? Since early colonial days, various forms of news coverage have existed in this country. And for many years now, the reliability of the information delivered by the media has been heavily scrutinized. It seems that this issue is becoming more and more significant in the 21st Century. Ronald Roach, executive editor of DiverseEducation.com and Diverse: Issues in Higher Education magazine, notes that "more than ever, the Americannews media are under public scrutiny for the way individual reporters conduct themselves, for how news coverage on major events is carried out and for the balance media organizations purport their...show more content... Television news shows tend to emphasize negative issues and frequently portray violent or extreme news stories. It seems that television medium for news, with its large visual aspect, lends itself particularly well to emotional stimulation. Apparently due to the desire for increased profit; many in the media will display whatever has a potential to increase viewers, ignoring ethical principles. Part of this ethical problem is due to the way the overall nature of news media is changing. The former news director of the ABC Information Radio Network and past chairman of the Radio–Television News Directors Association, Rob Sunde says, News programming has become a cheap alternative to entertainment programming, and the lines that once separated the two have become blurred. The pressure to create impactful and profitable news programming for prime time will only become more intense. Young people––long on enthusiasm, short on journalism––will burn ever brighter trails across the nighttime skies, and the American people will become inured to it. The danger is not so much what will become of electronic news as what will become of the public's perception of it, its believability, and its relevance to our lives" (Rob Sunde). The news media is turning into more of an entertainment outlet than an actual source of factual news. This change is a reaction to the longing of present Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Gods And Goddesses Essay Carter Ronca Professor Robinson February 10, 2015 First Unit Assessment Essay Gods and Goddesses The beginning of religion coexists with the beginning of humans trying to take control over the world and protect themselves and limit their vulnerability to the outside forces. The need of early human society is the same everywhere. This need of protection eventually evolves down the road to the need for freedom and escape from pain. The development of central governments would lead to the formation of divine kings and empires. This growth would unify the different goals and the needs of the people. However, it would also have a huge effect on the underlying nature of early religions. The early conception of Ancient Egyptians religion is not that easy. Last, were the inner halls where only purified priest could enter. The sanctuary was also found in the inner halls and only kings and the very high priests were allowed in this area. Medical enterprises are striving to deliver a higher quality of care through the use of technology. Mergers and acquisitions are encouraged through the need to have a stronghold on valuable data analytics. Samuelson writes: "CVS is a diversified healthcare company with operations in pharmacy benefit management, post–acute care and a strong network of health care clinics – it's not just a drug store chain. By merging with CVS, Aetna gains access to these rich data sources to drive better healthcare practices. The same is true for CVS in reverse. It gets to tap Aetna's databases and discover, say, which of its policy–holders haven't received their flu shot and could be solicited by CVS." The article in the Washington Post points out that even though this acquisition–merger process has been accelerated in recent years – it's only going to gain momentum in as we move into the future of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Mega Mitchell Essay One day the richest people in Las Vegas had a baby. They named him Mitchell. Everyone was talking about him, and how they think he's going to turn up. "He's going to be a magnificent better". But Mitchell had a much "bigger" future ahead of him. Mitchell was an average baby. Average sized, average shaped, and acted like a normal baby. Something strange was happening with him as he started to get older though. Every single toy he got was breaking when he played with it. Mitchell also was growing at an alarming rate, his parents couldn't keep him in a crib for even a week. They started to get nervous, "Why is he growing so quickly" they were saying. One day his parents rented a truck for the day and they drove Mitchell to a park, just so they...show more content... Except he wasn't paying to live in the country. The president eventually got disappointed and gave Mega Mitch one last order, big enough that if it would keep him in the country. If not he would have to leave America. This reminded Mega Mitch of when he was in school, but this time, he was really confident. The president said he had 24 hours to find a huge diamond that was about the size of him and make the best art sculpture he would ever make. Mega Mitch knew it was going to be hard enough to find a diamond that size, and even harder to make an art sculpture out of the toughest/hardest material on Earth. He also didn't have anything to dig with, so he made a giant pickaxe, but it took him a while to make it because it was out of iron. Mega Mitch's 24 hours was almost up, so he rushed to Arizona where there was a lot of space to dig. He struck the ground with his pickaxe so hard it made a crack in the Earth, creating the Grand Canyon. That strike was so hard that it broke his pickaxe into pieces and he ran out of time. Sadly Mega Mitch was kicked out of America. Before he left he kindly asked the president if he could travel around America to visit the places he's never been. Some say that while passing South Dakota, punched a huge stone making Mount Rushmore, his final art creation, then left Get more content on HelpWriting.net
