ACTION PLAN (A.Y 2019 – 2020)
Junior High School
VISION
A College with academic, non- conventional, and technical excellence, which envisions a University, imbued with Christian values, producing globally
competitive and empowered graduates, able to meet the demands and challenges of tomorrow.
MISSION
Metro Manila College commits itself to the holistic development of the learner through:
ď‚· Provision of excellent educational curriculum, instructional, and non- conventional services.
ď‚· Transformation of learners and its community towards becoming morally upright, humane, responsible, globally competitive and
productive members of society with assurance of better future.
VISION
The Basic Education Department envisions its 21st century learners imbued with academic excellence, technical-vocational skills, spiritual values
infused with nationalism and environmental sensitivity ready to face the challenges of tomorrow.
MISSION
The Basic Educational Department commits itself to:
ď‚· provide quality educational through responsive curriculum and competent instruction;
ď‚· equip learners with technical-vocational skills to enable them to become productive citizens;
 inculcate values towards developing love of God, country, fellowmen, and all God’s creations.
GOALS
ď‚· offer the update curricula to all levels;
ď‚· provide opportunities for learners to undergo relevant trainings and assessments to prepare them for employment;
ď‚· integrate values in all learning areas and in both curricular and co-curricular activities;
ď‚· establish community linkages and relationships to promote community welfare;
ď‚· conduct relevant studies and researches aimed at enhancing the teaching-learning process and adding new knowledge in the field of Basic
Education.
OBJECTIVES
 apply researched-based and tested learning strategies and use instructional materials appropriate to the learner’s respective levels;
ď‚· hire highly qualified and competent faculty and staff with expertise in their respective areas of specializations;
ď‚· provide updated learning resources and upgraded equipment for effective delivery of instruction;
ď‚· expose learners to in and off campus activities for experiential learning;
ď‚· involve parents in all school projects and activities;
ď‚· develop among learners the attitude of openness, compassion, and the spirit of volunteerism;
 provide seminars, trainings, and workshops for the learners’ character development;
ď‚· provide venues to enhance the purposive communication skills of the learners;
ď‚· develop the critical thinking skills of the learners through expression of opinions and ideas on relevant social issues;
ď‚· provide research agenda for the learners to work on and utilize research outputs/findings for institutional/ community development;
ď‚· develop among learners the skill needed to become employable and productive citizens through work immersion and national assessments.

ď‚· attend all school activities with proper decorum and on time;
ď‚· participate actively in the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, MMC Hymn, and Loyalty song;
ď‚· promote the school to the community by being role model Metronians;
ď‚· observer strictly the school rules and regulations;
ď‚· imbibe the core values of the institution in their daily lives;
ď‚· refrain from actions that would damage the name of the school schools;
ď‚· practice proper waste segregation and garbage disposal;
ď‚· use recycle materials in classroom activities and school events;
ď‚· conserve school resources (water, electricity, etc.,)

ď‚· take responsibility for own work and action;
ď‚· show humility but not afraid to ask for help when needed;
ď‚· earn the trust of classmates, peers, and teachers;

office.

MISSION Metro Manila College commits itself to the holistic development of the learner through: ď‚· Provision of excellent educational curriculum, instructional, and non- conventional services. ď‚· Transformation of learners and its community towards becoming morally upright, humane, responsible, globally competitive and productive members of society with assurance of better future. VISION The Basic Education Department envisions its 21st century learners imbued with academic excellence, technical-vocational skills, spiritual values infused with nationalism and environmental sensitivity ready to face the challenges of tomorrow. MISSION The Basic Educational Department commits itself to: ď‚· provide quality educational through responsive curriculum and competent instruction; ď‚· equip learners with technical-vocational skills to enable them to become productive citizens; ď‚· inculcate values towards developing love of God, country, fellowmen, and all God’s creations.

  • 4. PROJECT TITLE OBJECTIVES ACTIVITIES/STRATEGIES PERSONS/PEOPLE INVOLVED TIME FRAME EXPECTED OUTCOMES A Box for Papers and Plastic Bottles To recycle plastics and papers and gain funds from it. Every section in the Junior High School will provide a box that will be used to collect the papers and plastic bottles. SSC, Junior High School Every last week of the month Less trash and will gain more income for future expenses. Hall Pass To discipline the students when it comes on going out in their rooms. The SSC will provide a hall pass that will be used on every rooms of JHS. SSC, Junior High School As soon as possible. The students will be more disciplined. Flag Retreat To honor the symbol of the country, all the hopes, dreams it represents. Every Friday, before the Grade 9-10 and the rest of the students on B.E. building will perform a flag retreat and turn over the flag to the Principal’s office. SSC, Junior High School, and Respective teachers Every Friday, 6:00 P.M. The students will be more nationalistic. Welcome Program for Freshmen and Transferees Getting to know each other and to create an indivisible relationship between each grade level. Have a short program wherein each section will be introduced to each other. SSC, Junior High School, and Respective teachers September 2019 The students will represent their selves as one Junior High family, and everyone will get familiar to each other.
  • 5. Community Service (Campus cleaning) To promote an eco-friendly environment. Let the students of the Junior High School Clean the whole campus. SSC, and Junior High School October 2019 Our campus will be eco-friendlier. Teacher’s day Celebration Pay tribute to all teachers and acknowledge them. The Supreme Student Council will be creating the following activities: (Essay writing, Photo journal, the way we were, and special program for teachers’ day) SSC and Junior High School October 2019 The teachers will gain more confidence because the students appreciate their work. Oral Communication Seminar/Workshop Enhance their skills when it comes to public speaking. Have a seminar on how the proper way is, when it comes on speaking in front/ or in a crowd. SSC, Junior High School, and English Teachers. November 2019 The students will gain more confidence and more competitive when it comes to public speaking and/or debate. BSP & GSP CAMPOREE To teach the Junior High School about the strategies of an individual. Cooperate with the Master Scouts from different Grade Levels and/or Schools and let them teach the strategies when it comes on survival. SSC, Junior High School, and Respective teachers November 2019 The students will be more knowledgeable when it comes on surviving.
  • 6. Trick or Treat for Elementary students Build up closeness between Junior High School students and Elementary students. Let the Junior High School visit the Elementary students in their classrooms and give them candies and chocolates. SSC, K-10 Students November 2019 The Junior High School students will be familiarized from Elementary faculty and elementary students. Children’s Day To enlighten the K- 10 students on their ambitions. Let the K-10 students dress as their ambition for two days; and conduct a small pageant wherein they show-off their ambitions in life. The students will also teach their fellow students on the first day. (For Junior High School Students only) SSC, K-10 Students December 2019 The students will be more focused and more willing to study because of their ambition. Christmas Party Celebration To strengthen the bond of the students and to promote a friendly community. Their will be a short program wherein the SSC officers will prepare a set of games that the Junior High School students will play. But the exchange gifts and foods will still be per section. SSC, Junior High School, and Respective teachers. December 2019 The students will be more friendly and close to each other.
  • 7. Community Service (Tree Planting) To promote an eco-friendly environment and to raise awareness to the society in the importance of tree planting. The Supreme Student Council will visit the Dumagats, accompanied by MMC’s representatives and volunteers; then they will plant trees. Supreme Student Council, MMC Representatives and volunteers January 2020 The students of Junior High School will value the nature more than before. Valentine’s Celebration To strengthen the bond within each students of Junior High School. There will be a booth that will let the JHS students dance, eat, or give letters to their co-students, teachers, friends. SSC, Junior High School February 2020 The students will be more understandable when it comes to their co-students. Foundation Week (Booth) Create a booth wherein the SSC can gain profit so that there will be funds that can be use on future expenses. Use a room on B.E. Dept. and prepare a booth. (to be proposed before the foundation starts) SSC, Junior High School February 2020 The SSC will gain fund that can be use on future expenses. Election of new sets of officers (SSC) To have a future leaders that will handle the next S.Y. Let the Party lists of future leaders conduct a campaign on each section of Junior High School for 2 days and the voting will begin next day, the present officers will handle the elections. SSC, and Junior High School April 2020 There will be new officers that will handle the Junior High School in the next School Year.
  • 8. Retreat To let the students temporarily forget what they are doing in the real world. Let the students talk about how great the world is and there will be a small celebration wherein students will bring their foods. SSC, Grade 10 students, Grade 10 Adviser April 2020 The students will be more relieved and calmer when they get back in the real world. Juniors’ Night To make the Junior High School students experience a memorable moment in their high school life. Find a place wherein the program will be held. SSC, Junior High School, and Respective teachers May 2020 The socialization between each section will be enhanced.
