these are the problems that we were faced with on the first day of filming.

1. Problems Faced During the First Day of Filming
The followingissuesare the problemswe facedonthe firstdayof filming,one majorproblemwe
facedwhile filmingwasboth cameras’ whichwere inuse,were notrecordingsound butwere
recordingvideo.We determinedthis bylookingatthe camera’sUI showedthatthe audiochannels
were notrecordinganysoundwe also playedbacksome clipsontoa laptopandsome videoshadno
sound,luckilythe actorswere still presentandwe quicklyfilmedthese scenesagain.Unfortunately
we were unable tofilmone shotwith the actors walkingthroughthe kitchendoorwithsound.
Anotherproblemwe facedwasinone particularshotone of the actors wasin frontof door witha
glasspanel,inthe reflectionof the glasspanel we realisedthatthe secondcamerawasin view when
it shouldbe hidden,tostopthiswe openedthe dooralittle andthe reflectionwasnolongervisible.
Anotherproblemwe facedwasneitherof the twoactors rememberedthe lines,butluckilywe all
had a copy whichwe providedthemwith,we thenneededtofindawaythat the scriptwasn’tin
shot,we placedthe scriptbehindthe camerafor one of the actors (Richard,PlayedbyMr Rooks) but
was close enoughforhimtosee and forit to not looktoo obviousthathe was focusingon
something.Forthe secondactor(David,PlayedbyMr Scott) his characterneededtolookat the
groundas if he wasannoyedthatsomeone broughtuphisdaughtereve,we placeditontop of a box
whichwasn’tinshotbut still easyenoughforhimtoread.
Timingwasanotherproblemwe faced,we hada limitedamountof time tofilmand alsocomplete
one full scene,we didthissuccessfully toanextent,we are yetto filmthementeringthroughthe
frontdoor.
A technical problemwhichwe facedwasthe cameramade both characters lookpeach,whichis
somethingwe didn’twantvisible,sowe playedaroundwiththe focus,brightnessandcontrastlevels
to correct thisproblem.
We alsofaceda problemregardingthe lightaswe will colourgrade thisandmake the scene look
darkerthan it is inrealitywe neededtomake sure the onlyshadowsvisiblewasthe characters. We
made sure of thisby notstandingindirectsunlight.
