1. Question 6
What have you learn about
technologies from the
process of constructing the
product?
2. Strengths and weaknesses of the
camera equipment…
There were many strengths and weaknesses
with the camera equipment.
Firstly there is the strengths these include
the fact that it was small and compact so
therefore easy to get to the location but was
still of reasonable quality to shoot the video.
A first weakness of the camera equipment was the late
night shooting was difficult as the quality was not great
and when shooting in night mode some frames of the
video were missing, this resulted in use having to film
again in the light and edit the video.
3.
4. Are there any problems you faced during
filming, how were these resolved?
During the filming process we did encounter some
problems, the first problem we faced was when
filming in the dark, you could not see much of what
was going on in the shots, we then put the camera
into night mode so you could see, this resulted in
missing frames on playback of the video, this meant
we had to film again and this time we filmed n the
daytime and edited the footage to look darker in
the editing software this meant that you could see
what was going on but it also had the dark and
eerie atmosphere that we wanted for the scene.
6. What have you learnt about editing, were there
particular effects that you found useful for creating
your overall mise en scene?
Props are an important part of our sequence and it
could not be done with them, some type of prop is
used in almost every scene. The costume makes an
impact on the overall mise-en-scene of the
sequence as it shows the women as the femme
fatal character as she is wearing a dress and heels
rather than being wearing flat shoes and an easy to
maneuver outfit. The settings also make an impact
on the mise en scene of the sequence, it has to be a
1940s set and not show anything from that period
onwards.
8. The settings also make an impact on the mise en
scene of the sequence, it has to be a 1940s set
and not show anything from that period
onwards. This meant that all the fire
extinguisher, radiators etc. are not in the shots
we also edited the video into black and white to
ensure that the bright colours of the 21st
century are not shown. In final cut we edited the
whole video into black and white using tint, we
also used the brightness and contrast to change
the brightness of the image to simulate a dark
alleyway.
9. Darkened Setting…
• We did not use garage band to create a sound
track because we wanted a particular
