2. These are two magazines I have chosen which I think have
slightly similar images to my music magazine front cover model.

3. Body Language and Posture
Since I had to take my own images for my magazine I did a photo-shoot of
my model and took various different ones. Although Cosmopolitan is not
a music magazine I liked the way the model here is posing. Her facial
expressions are happy and I have also done this with my model but it is
not a s vibrant as the Cosmopolitan magazine.This also represents the
kind of audience that would read this as they are bubbly and happy. As
well as the Cosmopolitan magazine my model is showing a direct mode of
address to show that she is interacting with the audience.

4. Costume
For me to take the pictures for my magazine I had to plan how I wanted
my model to appear.This is one magazine which helped me think of what
my model would wear. I made my model wear a gold necklace around
her neck which conforms to what we normal see celebrities on Vibe
magazine wear. I also had her wear something with bright colours to
brighten up the magazine. She is also wearing casual clothes which are
affordable to my target audience as they don’t shop in expensive shops.

5. Magazine content
Finding a contents page that I wanted to recreate for my own magazine to look like
was hard as I didn’t really like most layouts. Looking at Vibes contents pages I found
that they didn’t have a wide variety of content featured on it so their audience don’t
have much to read. However I found another magazine from Q and I liked the way
there contents had different features to read from. I made my magazine a bit similar
but added more images because I knew my target audience liked images as well. I
also added an editors letter so that the audience feel like they have a personal
relationship with the creators of the magazine.

6. Images
I had seen a magazine which I liked which wasn’t a music magazine again but
I still liked the way the double page spread was laid out. I got my inspiration
from a Glamour magazine of Rita Ora which had four different pictures with
different facial expressions. On Vibe magazines we normally see just one
picture but I like the way I have laid out my double page spread with four
images because it looks creative and the way my model is posing shows a
positive attitude. It represents my target audience as being fun and lively and
we can see this through the way my model is posing.

7. How women are portrayed?
In my magazine I have represented women a being the dominant figure. I
have achieved this by using bold and strong vibrant colours such as her
costume and the whole house style of the magazine is very feminine.
Her direct mode of address helps to connect with the audience rather
than looking away. It makes the audience feel as if she is talking to them
and want to get their attention.Though my double page spread I used a
variety of images to represent women as being lively and fun as they
enjoy music. I challenged the whole idea of women being represented as
sex objects which we normally see when a women is put of Vibe
magazine. Overall I feel I have portrayed women positively throughout
the whole magazine through images, layout and house style.
