3. I used WordPress to design a blog which had all my media work of my music
magazine. This is where I was able to upload all my research, planning and
evaluations of my final product. I found the site very easy to use once I got on
with it.
Everything was pretty straight forward and I was bale
to be creative with it as it looked like my own website.
Using Prezi was one of my favourite things as it
was something I could use to present my work
differently. It was not had to use I had used it
before with some of my work in the past. I
used it to create a mind map sort of
presentation which I thought made my work
look much more interesting to read.

4. I used a camera to take my own pictures for my
music magazine. This was for originality so that
I didn’t have to use pictures from Google or
something as they were not mine. By taking my
own pictures I was able to choose where I
wanted to take the photos in terms of mise-enscene. I also had to think of the kind of model I
was choosing and how they would help represent
my magazine positively.
I used Photoshop to actually design my music
magazine. I found this hard at the beginning as I
was not too familiar with Photoshop even though I
had used it before. Using Photoshop make my
magazine made it look very professional and look
very similar to an existing magazine.
I also used Photoshop to edit my pictures. With
this I was able to change the appearance of my
pictures if they were too dark for example.
Overall I found this to be one of the most
important piece of technology I used in producing
my magazine because without it I wouldn’t have
been able to produce something so professional.

5. I used three different Microsoft Word softwares.
Firstly I used Microsoft Publisher to produce my
first magazine in my preliminary task. This was
rather simple as I had used this software before. I
found that if I had used this software to produce
my final magazine it would not compare to the high
standards of using Photoshop.
I also used Microsoft Word during my research
process to make notes and keep information of the
different things I needed to produce my magazine.
Lastly I used Microsoft PowerPoint in the beginning
my research to analyse magazine covers, contents
and double page spreads.
All of these different softwares helped me to
achieve different tasks within the processing of my
magazine.

6. Google was a very usual resource throughout my project. I
used it to research a lot of information about various
existing magazines. I was able to gather all the necessary
information I needed. For my preliminary task I was able to
search for appropriate images that I could use for my
magazine as that time I could use pictures that were not
mine. I could access it really easily through my laptop at
home and also at school which wasn’t a problem. Most of
the information I got hold of was from being able to access
Google which really helped me a lot to produce my final
piece.

7. It was my first time to use Youtube actually
making a video of my own and uploading it.
I had used Youtube many times t .listen to
music etc. but being able to make my own
video was very interesting. I used Youtube
to upload a video I had made of my focus group during my research process. This was
another way of presenting my work which worked very well. I was quite pleased as the site
was quick and easy to use. Uploading the video didn’t take time at all, however I think I
could have made my video better quality.
Using Movie Maker was actually quite hard in my own
opinion. It allowed me to upload and edit my videos but
editing them was not that simple. I had to cut some
bits off and add text and also background music to
make my video a bit more professional. I found that
there was not a wide variety of editing transitions to
choose from. I could also mainly access this software
at school as I didn’t have it on my laptop at home in
order for me to edit my videos.
