Question 6 pp
1.
2. Our forms of technology:
• Whatsapp- instantly, Ella, Millie, Emily and myself set
up a whatsapp group chat in order to arrange meetings
and discuss ideas.
We found this was a successful form of communication
because of the read receipts, it doesn’t allow any team
members to read and ignore the messages resulting in
equal input from all members
In saying that, I would say this was where our group has room for improvement
because we didn’t always remember to share our work and it became easy to
lose track of what work had been sent and what was missing. In future, we should
be stricter of deadline and checklists for sending work.

3. A key piece of technology I use to display all of my
coursework is weebly blogs. I was very unfamiliar with
blogging at the start of the course and apprehensive about
how to upload different types of media in an organized way.
In saying that, after watching multiple tutorials on you tube
I got my head aroundWeebly and began to display my work
using text, photos, videos, different fonts, headings and
much more. I actually learnt to really likeWeebly, it’s
benefits are how easy it is to make a page look presentable,
it has a wide variety of available pictures, backgrounds,
fonts and colors. There was a choice of different blogs to
use for example and alternative was word press.
Perhaps if I was to do this again I’d chose word press
because it seems the more popular choice and easier to
work with.
4. During the planning and research stages my group
used the technology of survey monkey to create an
appropriate survey for our target market.
Emily was allocated the task of producing the survey
and she found it reasonable simple to work with. We
each posted the survey on Facebook and received
hundreds of responses, an option that we had was to
upgrade to premium survey monkey to gain access to
more than 100 of our responses.
The reason we chose to use survey monkey was
because of how easy it is use, also how simple it was
to post on Facebook and also that it’s quite a well
known survey maker which might persuade the public
to answer because it’s a reliable source.
I think to improve we should of taken that option in
order to get a more accurate, reliable insight to our
target markets answers.
5. Technology was a major part of our filming stage, we
used a range of camera equipment to provide us
with the best possible quality footage. We used
Millie’s personal camera which is a Canon 750D and a
tripod to physically film the scenes.
I think this worked really well for our group because
it’s slightly more advanced than the cameras offered
at school and allowed us to re film and add parts
without the hassle of hiring from school and being
under time constrictions.
Once we were satisfied with the filming, we
transferred the footage onto a memory stick and I
downloaded all the clips onto my MacBookAir.
6. II started the editing process using IMovie. I used
this because it’s readily available on my Mac, its
fairly straight forward to use and I have experience
in using it.
It has some useful tools such as sound effects, color
grading and cropping facilties that came to use in
my rough cut.
However, I think I could of achieved a higher quality
of editing by using the school editing program which
is Serif Movie Plus. However, it may have restricted
some of the deadlines because it would of
prevented me from working on my film at home and
over the holidays. Luckily, Emily edited our final cut
through the use of the software premium pro,
which turned out really successful.
7. To present my evaluation we felt written essay from was
inadequate so we explored different forms of
technology to produce a more appealing evaluation. A
few different methods that we used were:
PowerPoint presentations
prezi
podcasts
videos
This ultimately provides variety to a part of my
coursework and differs from a lot of written work in the
research and planning stages.
