A client-facing role that acts as a first point of contact on HR-related matters. The aim is to operationalize
the HR Business Partner Model by integrating HR into line management and empowering line managers to
take charge of managing their own staff and people management processes. Supported by the HR
Administration section, the model also provides first-line transactional administrative functions to faculties
and divisions for, but not limited to, appointments, benefits, post structures; learning and development,
terminations, electronic records management and any other transactional process which may be required.
Key Results:
Ensure client service delivery by providing expert advice and guidance on HR related matters.
Act as a first point of contact, providing first line resolution on all HR related matters from
Faculty/Division
Oversee the implementation and delivery of key HR initiatives and projects working in conjunction with
Centres of Excellence.
Oversee the employee life cycle (attraction to exit).
Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.
Ensure implementation of OD interventions including talent management.
Oversee the Resourcing process from vacancy to placement.
Oversee the position, vacancy and budgeting process for respective environments.
Ensure HR Governance compliance.
Perform ad-hoc duties as and when required.
Prepare the recruitment plan (signed off recruitment forms, adverts and longlisting questions) in
conjunction with line and submit for validation and advertising.
Compile work force plans with line managers including the recruitment plan.

Ensure that MEC submissions for the levels listed above are submitted as and when required.
