rates, potential for change in echolocation behaviors, and the ideal frequency the pinger must have
to create avoidance from fishery nets. Change in behaviors of fish not targeted by the acoustic
pingers should still be taken into account as well upon use of these pingers. In addition, issues can
lie within how the acoustic pinger is handled by fishermen: inefficient usage and the potential for
equipment failure, along with varying degrees of willingness to use such a device on fishing trips
can greatly impact the reduction rates of marine mammal bycatch, and even create the risk of further
increasing bycatch rates when the goal was to lower them in the first place. Thus, while acoustic
pingers were built with good intentions at conserving marine mammal species in attempt to reduce
their rates as bycatch in fisherman nets, careful consideration must occur when putting one of these
devices into actual use, including analysis of impacts from the perspectives of the target marine
mammal species, the non–targeted nearby fish species, and the fishermen running the fishing nets.
The conclusion can be drawn that if acoustic pingers are put into use, they must be completely be
put into use as a full and not partial set of pingers on the net, high maintenance must be kept up with
to lower the chance of equipment failure, and the pingers must be specialized for certain marine

Often times when people talk about General Douglas MacArthur, they tend to think of a great
military leader of the World War Two (WWII) or the Korean War. General MacArthur once said, "A
true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the
compassion to listen to the needs of others. He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by
the equality of his actions and the integrity of his intent." General Douglas MacArthur, also known
as Mac, was a Visionary Leader that not only shaped the outcome of the Korean War but Japan as
well. However, he was not the most Ethical Leader to serve in the United States Military, which led
to him being relieved of duty by President Truman in 1951. In this paper we will review not just
how he was a visionary but at times unethical and how I relate those leadership traits to my own.
VISIONARY LEADERSHIP
General MacArthur was truly a visionary leader. He had the ability to see what needed to be done
and set plans for accomplishing it. One week after the start of the Korean War General MacArthur

My Experience In High School
Way back in June of 2005 I graduated from Lynbrook High School in San Jose, CA and like
everyone at that age, I was looking at my future not sure what I wanted to do. I was considering
attending college or a tech school only because that was what everyone was expecting me to do. I
was not so eager, I watched my older brother attend college and he was having a hard time of it. He
was either living at home commuting an hour and a half each way, or he lived in a small studio

Vietnam and the Viet Cong, launched a surprise, and coordinated attack on numerous cities and

Saigon. The goal was to drive a wedge between America and South Vietnam and hopefully destroy

During the campaign, U.S. forces successfully evacuated 98,000 refugees while inflicting heavy

The battle of Khe Sanh was fought between January 21st and July 9th, 1968 in the Khe Sanh area of
the northwestern Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam. The Battle lasted 77 days, and saw some of
the fiercest fighting of the Vietnam War. Khe Sanh combat base (KSCB) was placed in a strategic
location along the Rao Quan River and Route 9. This route leads right into the cities of Dong Ha and
Quang Tri City to the east. Three battalions of the 26th Marines were defending KSCB. ... Show

From the initial assessments around 60% of the reserves were within the Norwegian sector and the
remaining of around 39.18% to Great Britain. The interested parties in the site from both the
international boundaries included Total Oil Marine Ltd (representing UK) and ELF Aquitaine Group

The three Soldiers were able to make it to the coast, they had taken a route that took them around
