Interpersonal Communication Is An Effective Communicator
Verderber, K, Verderber, R and Berryman–Fink, C. 2010, stated that interpersonal communication is,
"The process through which people create and manage their relationships, exercising mutual
responsibility in creating meaning." (Pg. 5) To be an effective communicator, it is vital that the
person possesses and practices effective interpersonal/communicational skills. Over this semester,
important interpersonal skills have been developed through a series of six workshops and assessed
in two pieces of assessment. First position, second position and third position skills were performed.
This reflective essay provides a critical analysis of my interpersonal skills developmental process of
the three skills listed above; including my strengths, weakness and improvements.
When in the receiving position of a conversation, the main aim is to retrieve information from the
sender in an understandable and cohesive way; which ultimately creates a meaningful connection
between the two people. There are a number of skills involved in effective listening. Bebe, S,
Redmond, M. 2009, proposed that, "Listening is a complex process of selecting, attending to,
constructing meaning from, remembering, and responding to verbal and non–verbal messages."
(Pg.66) certain skills such as: following, empathetic or active listening, questioning and reflection of
feeling and content are also required to be an effective listener. In workshop one, the skills of
attending and non–verbal communication

Le Bebe En Brousse: A Comparative Analysis
Within the scholarship of Africa, it have become common for groups to have been boxed into the
categorization of being a contrasting "other" to those of the "Western world." This includes the
examination of the many systems of care that intersect within local communities. This became
especially evident during the colonization, and frequently the subjugation, of many regions of the
African continent. These events cannot simple be placed within simple groups of either good or bad,
but is more representative of a sliding scale of both negative and positive effects on African
healthcare. When these Western approaches are placed within the existing systems of local care, a
negotiation between these two must be debated. This include considerations ... Show more content

This idea is addressed within Binyavanga Wainaina's "How to Write About Africa," in which he
satirically directs another to "treat Africa as if it were one country. It is hot and dusty with rolling
grasslands and huge herds of animals and tall, thin people who are starving" (p.92). Wainaina's point
isn't one of a figmentation, it reflects the way that misguided ideas about a hegemonic Africa have
been disseminated. When addressed in respect to health care, this example shows as a reminder that
Africa is a large continent, with various communities and networks of

Struggles Of A Rapid Ascension Of Fame
Struggles of a Rapid Ascension to Fame Rap star G–Eazy, born Gerald Earl Gillum, may only be
twenty seven years old but he has played on the same stage as legends such as Jimi Hendrix and the
Beatles to U2 and John Denver to Prince and Macklemore and many more. Coming off his
sophomore album, When It's Dark Out released December 4th, 2015, his career is reaching new
levels of popularity which isn't all it's cut out to be. This album, which featured his triple platinum
single "Me, Myself & I" featuring Bebe Rexha, brings a spotlight to tragedies in his past and the
"rollercoaster that was the past two years", said Gerald in an interview with billboard.com's Adelle
Platon. His most popular song, "Me, Myself, & I" released on October 14th, 2015, was released as
the lead single for his upcoming album, When It's Dark Out. "Me, Myself, & I" is in a moderato
tempo and in a c–minor key, a common key and tempo among the hip–hop genre. In "Me Myself
and I" by G–Eazy, Gerald comes to terms with the aspects of being famous and forever in the
spotlight, which he wanted but didn't realize everything else that came with it. He does this through
his thought out lyrics and his use of artistic discretion in the music video that he released shortly
after the song. Within his music video, G–Eazy begins by being driven back home by his foreign
girlfriend, a status symbol of superstar lifestyle, and when he gets home he is thrown a surprise
party for his birthday. Just before the beginning of

Pros And Cons Of Being An Awesomenist
Xiaoqing is a fabulous person, and I know you will think so too! She has many talents, including
swimming and art (though she claims to not be at the skill level of Michael Phelps or Picasso), as
well as singing in the shower. She plans to improve these talents in the future, and work to become
an anesthesiologist–– basically someone who gives pain numbing shots to people–– as well. Her
bravery in wanting to pursue a job in which she will be disliked by so many (because really, who
likes shots?) impresses one so much it is difficult to discredit her for her fears of bad grades and
insects–– the former of which many in this room probably suffer from too. As an adult, Xiaoqing

72 Hour Hold By Bebe Moore Campbell Essay
Life is a daring adventure. Throughout the lifespan, one will encounter many rewarding and
challenging experiences. For example, during one's youth, balancing academics and maintaining
healthy relationships with both family and friends is perplexing. Nevertheless, imagine adding
another element on top of the boat load of responsibilities and expectations that growing up
beckons– mental illness. In 72 Hour Hold by Bebe Moore Campbell, the main character, Trina, truly
defines how much of a rollercoaster life can be. As told through her mother's perspective, one will
learn that Trina is a eighteen year old female of African–American decent and resides with her
mother in Los Angeles, California. Trina's parents, Keri and Clyde, provide their daughter with an
upper/upper middle class lifestyle due to her father's sudden successful career and her mother's
successful resale clothing business in Los Angeles. This well rounded and beautiful adolescent has
recently graduated from high school with high grades and was accepted to Brown University,
however, due to her summer manic episodes, Trina has not attended college yet. After her high
school graduation, Trina began experiencing manic episodes. These episodes consisted of Trina
lashing out in various ways. Some moments within the book described Trina as verbally and
physically abusive towards her mother, destructive by smashing glass cups, extreme paranoia, and
wild nights out involving joints or alcohol. In June, Trina was

Bebe's Family
In this essay, Campbell discusses her experience being raised by African American women in her
family. Her father left when she was very young, leaving her to only her mother, grandmother, and
aunts.
Growing up, one thing instilled into Bebe was to make sure she acted proper, especially in public
around white people, as they didn't want her to be seen as another "typical colored person". The
women in her family believed that if she acted right, she would be given a better and more equal
opportunity at an education as the white children.
One day, when Bebe acted out in class, her mother was called, but instead of being punished, her
mother was more embarrassed at the fact that she allowed other (white) kids to see her act that way.
Bebe went on to complain about how she wished she had a father figure in her life to punish her for
doing such things like the other kids had. In her mind, having a father figure symbolized stability
and normalcy in a family, which she didn't have, adding another thing to the list of differences she
had from the other students. She continued on to say that she didn't even care how her father would
act or treat her, as long as he was present in her life, which draws to ... Show more content on

I think the essay could be relatable to a lot of kids trying to find their own sense of normal in life.
While I think guidance is important in growing up and developing your own thoughts and ideas, I
think that being able to come up with your own idea of normalcy is more important for
development. If Bebe's mother wasn't so persistent in telling her how to act in public especially
because she was colored, I don't think Bebe would have felt such a strong feeling of anger toward
her family situation because she would have been able to build a stronger relationship with the

APUSH PROMPT I'm Afghan, and me and my siblings are first generation born in America. I do
not pass as white, and neither do any of my family members. We have dark hair, olive toned skin,
and are all very hairy. Every single one of us. Knowing I look different than my peers has
contributed to a feeling of otherness whenever I'm around my friends who do look traditionally
white. It's an uneasy feeling that is hard to push away and always lingers. However, I haven't always
felt like this. When I was in kindergarden I was a big fan of skirts. I wore them all the time. One
time, i was sitting down when we had some free time and I remember looking at my bare legs. At

She was my dad's mom, and we used to call her Bebe Hajji as a sign of respect for a elders who has
completed a pilgrimage to Mecca. Bebe Hajji passed away from gallbladder cancer, and it was a
very surreal time in not only my life, but my family's as well. I don't actually remember that much
about her before she was admitted to the hospital, only when she was. I remember what she looked
like, I remember what her lap felt like when she'd hold me, but I do not remember her voice. When
she was in the hospital I never quite grasped what was going on, I knew she was dying, but i dont
think i ever knew what death was. After her funeral I was sad, but i kept waitin for the other shoe o
drop. I didn't know how to grieve, I was nine, I went back to school and i didn't cry when i told other
people what happened, and i didn't cry at her memorial. As i've gotten older, it's stuck with me more
and more. When I was in middle school i felt exponential guilt, about my lack of tears when i was
younger. I felt like I hadn't lover her enough and as a result been unable to grieve. As I've gotten
older I've realized people deal with death differently, and to be fair, I was nine. This year, I decided
to join the wrestling team. I am a very unskilled wrestler. I'm not saying this to tear myself, it's just
true. However, I do love the sport, and would like to continue wrestling throughout High School.
When I first joined, I was unable to take down a single boy on my team. Not even a single one. By
the end of the season, the boy who I had been unable to pin once the first month I was able to pin
half the times we wrestled by that last month. This was a lesson in hard work, and the fact that I am
able to beat up boys (and girls). Those two things have given me lots of

Killing The Black Body: An Analysis
Having a sincere appreciation for clear and concise parameters, I tend to be a pretty literal person
and at one time considered law as a profession. Hence, I can emphatically say that my thoughts
regarding binding legal documents were that it was a signer's responsibility to understand and sign
only what they agree to and agree to be held accountable for. That is, until I examined the
circumstances surrounding the way in which a person signed an agreement, I had not considered the
meaning of consent and what true consent encompasses. Today my understanding of consent has
changed considerably. Consequently, I now know, true consent involves decisions based on factual
information, made without duress or pressure, with a clear understanding of the agreement and its
effects, both possible and probable, without influence, and with the ability to consult others,
including professionals if desired.
Although it seems unfathomable to have this right denied, specially by a figure in a position of trust
and authority, who has taken an oath to help rather than harm under all circumstances, that is ...

In Dorothy Roberts' book "Killing the Black Body: Race, Reproduction and The Meaning of
Liberty" (1997), we are challenged to consider the meaning of reproductive liberty. Dorothy writes:
Reproductive liberty is a matter of social justice, not individual choice". While this statement
implies a woman's right to make decisions regarding her body as an inalienable right, that was
certainly not the case with thousands of Puerto Rico women were sterilized. Consent must be a
decision that is reached with full disclosure on the choice being made. Without the knowledge

Dating Token: A Short Story
Son of a bitch! I smash my left hand on the horn. People in South Park just don't know how to drive.

As I fully redress, Token responded with "yeses" and "of course, I didn't forgets." over the phone.
He hangs up, and I think I clean up well.
"Hey, I have to go to a dinner party with my mother, something about meeting her new boss'
family." Gruff, he speaks as he walks over to large antique armoire.
I'm guessing this is my cue to leave, "I'll see you later then?"
"Yeah babe, I'll call you." Pausing in between selecting his suit, gives me a peck on the cheek.
Getting lost in between the library and billiard room, Token's mansion is a maze, I'm always super

Women 's Roles Over Time
From silent short films of the 19th century to full length films of the 1920s, women have played
important central roles over time. Women have transitioned from submissive conservative roles to
liberal something. A big part of this is due to the view of women changing in history.
The 1800s was a time of, "advancement, invention and enterprise in the world of moving images."
Thomas Edison, with the help of his assistants, created and patented the Kinetograph and
Kinetoscope in 1891. These tools later created series of still frames that passed at a continuous rate.
Because of the defect persistence of vision, the average person views a moving image. By "1894,
attempts [by Lumiere Brothers] were made to replicate and improve Edison's Kinetoscope design."
During the mid 1800s, a true woman understood her limitations. This included, " modesty,
submissiveness, physical weakness, limited education, and complete devotion to [their] husband."
Any actions that threatened these norms had to be put to a stop. During the late 1800s, there
appeared to be advancements in education and movements for women's rights. Women were
challenging the norms to become more independent. Many women did not want change for the
consequences to come. But as soon as the film industry started, women culture began to reflect roles
of main actresses.
In 1984, a dancer named Carmencita was the first female to be in an Edison motion picture.
Carmencita presents a 21 second dance which was later forbidden to

Summary Of The FilmNo Mas Bebes ( No More Babies?
In the film No Mas Bebes (No More Babies) we are presented with the cases of several women who
underwent unconsent sterilization at the County Hospital in Los Angeles while giving birth to their
child. The situation takes a turn when a young Chicana lawyer decided to support these women and
take the case to court against this institution, and we get to see an aspect of the control of population
in the United States, and particularly the control of Hispanic childbirths. In the article of Elena R.
Gutierrez, she also talks about the situation of the births control, and she uses information and
statements from the author John Tanton who believed in the control of population, to avoid over
population, and the possible lack of resources for the Americans because of the immigrants having
many babies here in the United States. Both pieces of information, (the film and the article) clearly
show us the stereotypes about Latinas and the way they were, and continue to be treated. The film
No Mas Bebes shows us the case of ten women whom with the help of the lawyer Antonia
Hernandez decided to take their case of violation of their rights to the court, and fight against the
Los Angeles County Hospital. We can see how these women were treated differently for being
immigrant Latinas and having babies here in the U.S. They are clearly the targets of the hospital
because they are having "too many babies" and that can be problematic in the eyes of many people
like John Tanton who firmly

Sterilize Mexican American Women
In California, the state with a eugenic programs so intense that it even inspired the sterilization
programs in Nazi Germany, the racist controlling image of the reckless breeder was even more
pronounced. The Eugenics program of California is reported to have been responsible for 20,000
eugenic sterilizations taking place in state institutions, a staggering number in comparison to the
total recorded eugenic sterilizations in the United states which is reported to be 60,000 including
California. Mexican American women were possibly one of the greatest targets of California's
Eugenics program which described Mexican Americans as "the states foremost racial problem" (Lira

This portrayal of African American women has led to direct mistreat and an encroachment upon
their reproductive rights but subjecting countless African American women to forced sterilizations.
During this time, well–known biologist Garret Hardin popularized the idea that receiving
government assistance gave the government ability to sterilize African American women. Harding
argued "supporting children gave the government the right to strip their parents of the capacity to
produce more." (Roberts 89). This belief ignited a wave of forced sterilizations across the United
states. Women such as Dorothy Waters directly felt the consequences of the Welfare Queen image.
During her last visit prior to the delivery of child Waters was told by her doctor she had consent to a

History And Background Of The Apparel / Fashion Industry
History and Background
In 1981, the Marciano brothers arrived in Los Angeles and opened a clothing store. The brothers
who were originally from South France had previously owned a twelve chain retail store in France.
Jeans were among some of the merchandise in the brother's store. The jeans were designed by
Georges Marciano, they called named the jeans GUESS because it was easy for the brothers to
pronounce. These jeans were intended to have a tight fit and feature zippers near the ankles. The
stone–wash gave them a soft feel and lighter colors than the rest of the jeans of its time. It was at
this time that they featured the ever famous GUESS triangle on the back of the jean pockets. Today
the company's products are marketed under Maricano, GUESS Factory, Guess, G by Guess, and
Guess Kids.
Guess competes in the high competitive apparel industry. The apparel/fashion industry is comprised
of a large variety of textiles and garments that are manufactured. There is a major shift in today's
retail industry, the boom of internet shopping. The 2015 holiday season is what made us notice this
huge shift. Retailers should start to focus on restructuring this year. Consumers are seeming to start
to favor off–price stores with fashion at a good price.
It was in 1981 that Georges and Maurice opened the clothing store in Beverly Hills, California. Paul

Bringing Up Bebe Analysis
Bringing up Bebe, by Pamela Druckerman provides a brief overview of what it's like to be an
American Family raising their three children while living in France. Pamela was a reporter for the
foreign desk in New York. She recently started having a long distance relationship with Simon, who
was brought up in Holland and now lives in Paris. He lives in a two room bachelor pad and
commutes to NY to see Pamela occasionally. After being laid off, Pamela decides she does not want
to be single for the rest of her life and commits to a relationship with Simon, and moves to Paris in a
whirlwind romance. After getting married they move into a larger apartment and start to think about
raising their own children. She explores and compares French parenting, ... Show more content on

American parenting styles are more hyper–attentive opposed to the French relaxed parenting style.
"Cadre" is the framework of French parenting. They have consistent strict rules about certain things
but they are relaxed about the rest. This allows the child to learn responsibility in which makes them
feel empowered. French parenting encourages a higher level of trust and the ability for children to
do things by themselves. American parents groom their children to be competitive right from the
start. Wanting them to be the "best" at everything. They also have the idea that they have to be by
their child's side at all times, if they are not they will be psychologically damaged, feeling guilty and
anxiety from not being there for them. As stated previously, they tend to sacrifice their own
happiness for the well–being of their child. Pamela states that "The French children all around us
don't look cowed. They look cheerful, chatty, and curious. Their parents are affectionate and
attentive. There just seems to be an invisible, civilizing force at their tables – and I'm starting to
suspect, in their lives – that's absent from ours (Druckenman,

Book Review On Bringing Up Bebe
If you ask me something about baby's sleep, I can confidently tell you, that with my first child I've
seen it all. Well, at least our sleep issues throughout these years gave me the right to say so.
By no means, I consider myself a sleep expert. But in a constant search for the right approach to
tackle short naps, bedtime battles and night wakings, there are definitely some advices that I can
give you.

Nursing to sleep when possible, rocking, breastfeeding on demand, respondin to baby's cry, you
name it.
May I just say, how exhausted I was? May I add that the exhaustion still continues, because I believe
some things should be done differently at the beginning?
Two years ago, I stumbled upon a very insightful book. The book is called Bringing Up Bébé and it
describes the parenting approach in France. I was stunned after I read that French kids start sleeping
through the night as early as 6 weeks old. What intrigued me even more, is that French parents
achieved this not by using cry–it–out technique, which they don't condone.
The book immediately got me thinking if I could achieve such sleep success by using French
methods.
This week I'm continuning to study the book along with Kelly from The Primarily Insipired. Here
you can read my full post on French parenting and how they deal with baby's sleep issues along with
children's behavioral problems.
I'm very curious to know, what is your approach to baby's sleep issues and what methods worked for

Social Issues In Kendrick Lamar's 'Alright'
Through songs many people express their feelings of the world threw the words they have wrote.
Many songs talk about civil rights of the people and how change should be an option. In the world
we live in today we have social issues that people have to face such as: police brutality, racial
profiling, discrimination etc. Through Kendrick Lamar, Public Enemy, The Game, Bebe Winans,
and N.W.A they will use their voice as a weapon for change among all people. Music with a
message thrives in a live setting, for obvious reasons, and many politically conscious musicians aim
to channel the heightened emotions
Kendrick Lamar's song "Alright" talks about race and how African Americans are being targeted and
profiled. The song tells about the gun violence and police brutality that is effecting our community,
"And we hate Popo, wanna kill us dead in the street for sure, n..." (Line 35). This quote out of his
song is significant because in the world we live in someone gets killed every day for the color of
their skin color or a profile that someone made off assumptions. As the song goes he tell about how
African Americans were discriminated. "When you know, we been hurt, been down before, n... /
When our pride was low, lookin' at the world like, "where do we go, n...?"' (Line 33–34).
Throughout the years African Americans are looked down on to the point where they do not know
what their purpose is. For some, living in a world where people do not want them there hurts the
pride of people.

How My Personal Experience And Culture Affect My Parenting...
I would categorize my parenting style as an authoritative because I show the characteristics listed
with this style. An authoritative parent is defined as being firm, setting clear and consistent limits,
but who try to reason with their children, giving explanations for why they should behave in a
particular way (Feldman & Landry, 2017, pg. 172). I also want what's best by making sure Bebe Jay
grows to be respectful and friendly and with this style of parenting it is more than likely he will. The
authoritative parenting style is also apart of my personality and beliefs that you should let children
be children and guide them, but to discipline as well if they start to act out inappropriately. It isn't all
about raising them to be good people, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I believe my experience and culture impact my parenting styles as well. My experience would be the
way my parents raised me, my mother was a authoritarian and my father was permissive. It was an
odd mix but it worked out well, my mother was very strict and I never disobeyed her because I knew
the consequences. She was not abusive, but she had her ways of making sure I did what I was told
and I appreciate it know as I look back. My father was permissive and was the one who would let
me get away with some of the things I did, for example if I snuck an extra cookie from the jar he
didn't mind. He had expectations of me to do what I was told but didn't yell or ever get mad at me if
I didn't. They complimented each other with parenting and it worked out because all of my siblings
grew up to be successful in different ways. The cultural aspect would be growing up in a First
Nations reserve, we have a sense of community and everyone was there for each other's child and to
help with whatever they needed. We were like a big family because almost everyone was related in
some way or another. I believe in the ways of discipline, teaching children to respect women and
elders especially but of course fathers and family as well. Also the way of raising children in terms
of giving them love because to us, children are gifts from the Great

Queer Centric Love Stories By John Bebe
However, when it comes to queer–centric love stories, the most common reaction follows the lines
of "this is a gay story, about two gay people, and is about them being gay", due to the lack of
substance to the plot. Even if a work does have a complex plot, the public's reaction and treatment
of the work as "a gay story" is harmful to perceptions of queer life. Specifically, the manner in
which many queer stories, and "Brokeback" (with the death of Jack) tragically end. These tragic
ending, tragedy that is rooted in the character 's sexual orientation, only further sends the message
that you can't live as a queer person without pain and consequences, that there is no legitimate way
for a happy ending to occur for queer characters. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Integration of Female Characters: The "Damage" of The Closet
The most notable difference between the film adaptation and the short story is the film's additional
emphasis and integration of female characters. In the film, Alma has more of a focus, becomes more
complex of a character, and has more lines than in the original story. Additionally, Laureen is a
developed character with a personality and character arc, which was also something not found in the
original story. This additional emphasis on females provides the audience with a new perspective
from which to view the story. However, it is a perspective that is essentially harmful to the queer
community. By having a focus on the female characters, the film
"hedges against relying too much on gay–masculinity–as–realism both by cyclically returning point
of view to the women in the film, and by draping a light scrim of comedy over Jack and Ennis's
relationship. The moment when Michelle William's Alma sees her husband locking lips with his
"fishing buddy" has achieved its own iconic status: Oprah Winfrey, when she hosted the cast for a
pre–Academy Awards endorsement of the film's power, focused first on how hard it must have been
for Heath and Jake to kiss each other–heavens!–but then insisted that the film was a lesson in the
damage the closet wreaks on the lives of women who love closeted men (Joshua Clover)".

Strangers In The Dumpster: A Short Story
Over the next few weeks, Gilbert continued to track down sources. Many of them, including the
Barbees, remained convinced that Willingham was guilty, but several of his friends and relatives had
doubts. So did some people in law enforcement. Willingham's former probation officer in
Oklahoma, Polly Goodin, recently told me that Willingham had never demonstrated bizarre or
sociopathic behavior. "He was probably one of my favorite kids," she said. Even a former judge
named Bebe Bridges–who had often stood, as she put it, on the "opposite side" of Willingham in the
legal system, and who had sent him to jail for stealing–told me that she could not imagine him
killing his children. "He was polite, and he seemed to care," she said. "His convictions had been for
dumb–kid stuff. Even the things stolen weren't significant." Several months before the fire,
Willingham tracked Goodin down at her office, and proudly showed her photographs of Stacy and
the kids. "He wanted Bebe and me to know he'd been doing good," Goodin recalled. ... Show more

Gender Analysis : No Mas Bebes
We live in a society where for decades we have been socialized to believe that there are only two
genders: male and female. The idea of gender is socially constructed. Society and culture create
gender roles and through those roles we all learn to enact our specific roles. With this in mind, this
essay will seek to examine how gender shapes the structural and lived experiences of Chicanxs and
Latinxs in the U.S. This essay will draw from Abrego, Acosta, Ocampo, and the documentary "No
mas bebés" to see how gender affects an individual's experiences in the U.S.
To begin with, Sacrificing Families by Leisy J. Abrego, draws on the narratives of many Salvadorian
families to tell the stories on how illegality and gender shape their lives. In Chapter five, Abrego
accurately captures the gender roles of immigrant parents in transnational families. Abrego makes it
clear that there are inequalities between genders, men have always been privileged individuals, and
regardless of the work, they make more money when compared to women. Through her interviews
Abrego provides evidence for the structural reality of gender–stratified opportunities and the gender
roles that benefit men and constrain women. According to Abrego, "For women, the three most
common occupational sectors were domestic, garment and hotel house–keeping work (102). With
this we can see that how the occupations of women are tied to their gender roles. Women are
supposed to stay at home, clean the house, and nurture.

Review : Diagnostic Pre Implantaire
Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
l'enfant.

The 's Fashion Forward Neighborhood Of Soho
After a long day of working retail in Manhattan's fashion–forward neighborhood of Soho, going
home tends to be the best part of my day. I usually take the length of my fifteen minute walk home
to decompress, reflect upon my day and enjoy the solitude. I imagine the shoppers who heavily
populated the streets earlier in the day cozying up in their chic, chandelier adorned high–rises,
furnished with a coffee table stacked with vintage editions of Vogue, blogging about their most
recent fashion finds. Recently, as I mindlessly admired the window displays of the shops lining
Broadway, I noticed that the large windows of Bebe were barren; not because a new window display
was being installed, but because they had closed this particular location, indefinitely. Although, I
haven 't purchased clothing from Bebe in over a decade, I couldn 't help but feel nostalgic about my
pre–teen years. I specifically remembered a hot–pink, terry cloth, cropped hoodie from Bebe that I
adored. Ten years ago, I, like most people, did not care about how tacky I looked, I only cared about
flaunting the bedazzled Bebe logo proudly across my chest. As a pre–teen girl in the early 2000's,
obtaining your own article of rhinestone adorned Bebe clothing was like a rite of passage into your
teenage years. Now, obtaining your first basic black tee from Topshop is considered the norm. One
can only assume that if Bebe cannot afford a storefront in Soho, their sales might not be doing as
well as they used to. For

Bringing Up Bebe By Pamela Druckerman
If you're an expectant mother or already a parent and you've never heard about the book Bringing
Up Bébe by Pamela Druckerman, now is the right time to pick it up at your local book store and
start reading.
And if you're very busy, or overwhelmed with your daily tasks and don't have time for another
parenting book, believe me, this one is a very easy read. You can literally finish it in one day. There,
you won't find any tutorials on how to burb the baby or a vaccination schedule. The book is a simple
yet very ineteresting overview of the French parenting philosophy and a phylosophy of life in
general.
I've read this book 2 years ago. I've heard so many flattering reviews that I decided to give it a try.
The first thing that might come to your mind when reading it, is that the author tries to demoralize
the way American parents have used to raise their kids. But in fact, the book is just a good
comparison of how Amricans and French people tend to do things in regards to pregnancy and
parenting.
Each book we read is a source of improvement and I see Bringing Up Bebe to be such book.
It's really fascinating how things are different in other part of the world. Both USA and France are
world leading developed countries with so many things in common. Yet, when it comes to all things
pregnancy, childbirth and raising kids, French people are onto something completely different.
In the US, when a woman gets pregnant, it become a norm to stock up on every possible pregnancy

Analysis Of The Movie ' The Snow Queen '
My daughter and I went to the play "The Snow Queen" at the Marquis Theater in Northville,
Michigan on December 10, 2016. The Marquis Theater is a beautifully restored historic landmark.
Upon entering, you are transported back to an earlier time. The lobby features the original french
doors, the stained glass windows, and the old fashioned ticket booth. The theatre is a victorian
design that has two aisle ways with red upholstered seats on the left, right, and middle. The theater is
quaint in size but that only adds to the magical allusion that is created when you watch "The Snow
Queen."
"The Snow Queen" is produced by Chrisina Zayti who also is the technical director for the play. She
is an Eastern Michigan Alumni and has been at the Marquis Theatre for quite some time. Yasmine
Jaffri is the director and writer and works with Elaine Liverance who is the musical director,
accompanist, and composer for the show. "The Snow Queen" has five main characters and many
supporting character that are mostly children. The character of Snow Queen, the antagonist, was
acted by Esther Jentzen another Eastern alumni who was making her debut on the Marquis Theatre's
stage. Gina Karkoski plays Bebe the protagonist in the story and best friends to Louie, who is played
by Emilee Theofanopoulos. The last main character is Rizzle played by Joshua Garreston is a

Am I wrong for calling the "Black Star Elephant" album by Nico & Vinz one of the best pop albums

footsteps with their latest song that features Bebe Rexha and Kid Ink. The song is titled "That's How

put their art on it.
"That's how you know" is a very captivating song. It is fun, educative and entertaining all at the

Bebe Rexha does the second verse and she had the best verse for me. The lady on the song killed it.
"You were the man in college / got a degree in awesome / and had more zeros in your bank than all

exciting verse on the song. Nico & Vinz come back for the third verse then Kid Ink does the last
verse.
Kid Ink continues to display an exceptional level of comfort with any style of music he is invited to
feature on. From the guitar the song is sang on, it is hard to imagine what Kid Ink's verse would
flow like but Kid Ink imposingly laid his verse. The flow was well paced to match the guitar and the
lyrics also demonstrate the perfect "that's how you know you f**ked up" situation. The final chorus
comes in after his verse and Bebe adds superb background vocals for this one. Her vocals will send
chills allover your body – they are that amazing.
"That's how you know" is that reunion song as you all tell stories about how life turned out and if
you messed it up, the entire group will have to sing for you the chorus of this song. It would be
perfect for that occasion. Nico & Vinz continue to give us music that's not only entertaining, but

Mexican men were exploited, sent to work in conditions that could affect their health. "Miserable

Interpersonal Communication Is An Effective Communicator

  • 1. Interpersonal Communication Is An Effective Communicator Verderber, K, Verderber, R and Berryman–Fink, C. 2010, stated that interpersonal communication is, "The process through which people create and manage their relationships, exercising mutual responsibility in creating meaning." (Pg. 5) To be an effective communicator, it is vital that the person possesses and practices effective interpersonal/communicational skills. Over this semester, important interpersonal skills have been developed through a series of six workshops and assessed in two pieces of assessment. First position, second position and third position skills were performed. This reflective essay provides a critical analysis of my interpersonal skills developmental process of the three skills listed above; including my strengths, weakness and improvements. When in the receiving position of a conversation, the main aim is to retrieve information from the sender in an understandable and cohesive way; which ultimately creates a meaningful connection between the two people. There are a number of skills involved in effective listening. Bebe, S, Redmond, M. 2009, proposed that, "Listening is a complex process of selecting, attending to, constructing meaning from, remembering, and responding to verbal and non–verbal messages." (Pg.66) certain skills such as: following, empathetic or active listening, questioning and reflection of feeling and content are also required to be an effective listener. In workshop one, the skills of attending and non–verbal communication ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Le Bebe En Brousse: A Comparative Analysis Within the scholarship of Africa, it have become common for groups to have been boxed into the categorization of being a contrasting "other" to those of the "Western world." This includes the examination of the many systems of care that intersect within local communities. This became especially evident during the colonization, and frequently the subjugation, of many regions of the African continent. These events cannot simple be placed within simple groups of either good or bad, but is more representative of a sliding scale of both negative and positive effects on African healthcare. When these Western approaches are placed within the existing systems of local care, a negotiation between these two must be debated. This include considerations ... This idea is addressed within Binyavanga Wainaina's "How to Write About Africa," in which he satirically directs another to "treat Africa as if it were one country. It is hot and dusty with rolling grasslands and huge herds of animals and tall, thin people who are starving" (p.92). Wainaina's point isn't one of a figmentation, it reflects the way that misguided ideas about a hegemonic Africa have been disseminated. Struggles Of A Rapid Ascension Of Fame Struggles of a Rapid Ascension to Fame Rap star G–Eazy, born Gerald Earl Gillum, may only be twenty seven years old but he has played on the same stage as legends such as Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles to U2 and John Denver to Prince and Macklemore and many more. Coming off his sophomore album, When It's Dark Out released December 4th, 2015, his career is reaching new levels of popularity which isn't all it's cut out to be. This album, which featured his triple platinum single "Me, Myself & I" featuring Bebe Rexha, brings a spotlight to tragedies in his past and the "rollercoaster that was the past two years", said Gerald in an interview with billboard.com's Adelle Platon. His most popular song, "Me, Myself, & I" released on October 14th, 2015, was released as the lead single for his upcoming album, When It's Dark Out. "Me, Myself, & I" is in a moderato tempo and in a c–minor key, a common key and tempo among the hip–hop genre. In "Me Myself and I" by G–Eazy, Gerald comes to terms with the aspects of being famous and forever in the spotlight, which he wanted but didn't realize everything else that came with it. He does this through his thought out lyrics and his use of artistic discretion in the music video that he released shortly after the song. Within his music video, G–Eazy begins by being driven back home by his foreign girlfriend, a status symbol of superstar lifestyle, and when he gets home he is thrown a surprise party for his birthday. • 17. Pros And Cons Of Being An Awesomenist Xiaoqing is a fabulous person, and I know you will think so too! She has many talents, including swimming and art (though she claims to not be at the skill level of Michael Phelps or Picasso), as well as singing in the shower. She plans to improve these talents in the future, and work to become an anesthesiologist–– basically someone who gives pain numbing shots to people–– as well. Her bravery in wanting to pursue a job in which she will be disliked by so many (because really, who likes shots?) impresses one so much it is difficult to discredit her for her fears of bad grades and insects–– the former of which many in this room probably suffer from too. As an adult, Xiaoqing would like to like in San Francisco, as she enjoyed the feeling of the city when she went there. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At school, she has learned how to communicate with and work with others, and she believes that the people who've impacted her life the most are her family in, and I quote, "not necessarily positive things," but all of her family members have equally partaken in teaching and shaping her into herself today. She has had an impact on her family too; she technically saved her dog Bebe's life! 2 years ago, her dog got sick and when her family took her to the vet they couldn't tell what was wrong. The next day yellowish liquid started leaking out of her butt and after researching all of her symptoms, Xiaoqing found out that her dog had a life threatening uterus infection and her family immediately drove her to the emergency room for pets. • 21. 72 Hour Hold By Bebe Moore Campbell Essay Life is a daring adventure. Throughout the lifespan, one will encounter many rewarding and challenging experiences. For example, during one's youth, balancing academics and maintaining healthy relationships with both family and friends is perplexing. Nevertheless, imagine adding another element on top of the boat load of responsibilities and expectations that growing up beckons– mental illness. In 72 Hour Hold by Bebe Moore Campbell, the main character, Trina, truly defines how much of a rollercoaster life can be. As told through her mother's perspective, one will learn that Trina is a eighteen year old female of African–American decent and resides with her mother in Los Angeles, California. Trina's parents, Keri and Clyde, provide their daughter with an upper/upper middle class lifestyle due to her father's sudden successful career and her mother's successful resale clothing business in Los Angeles. This well rounded and beautiful adolescent has recently graduated from high school with high grades and was accepted to Brown University, however, due to her summer manic episodes, Trina has not attended college yet. After her high school graduation, Trina began experiencing manic episodes. These episodes consisted of Trina lashing out in various ways. Some moments within the book described Trina as verbally and physically abusive towards her mother, destructive by smashing glass cups, extreme paranoia, and wild nights out involving joints or alcohol. • 25. Bebe's Family In this essay, Campbell discusses her experience being raised by African American women in her family. Her father left when she was very young, leaving her to only her mother, grandmother, and aunts. Growing up, one thing instilled into Bebe was to make sure she acted proper, especially in public around white people, as they didn't want her to be seen as another "typical colored person". The women in her family believed that if she acted right, she would be given a better and more equal opportunity at an education as the white children. One day, when Bebe acted out in class, her mother was called, but instead of being punished, her mother was more embarrassed at the fact that she allowed other (white) kids to see her act that way. Bebe went on to complain about how she wished she had a father figure in her life to punish her for doing such things like the other kids had. In her mind, having a father figure symbolized stability and normalcy in a family, which she didn't have, adding another thing to the list of differences she had from the other students. She continued on to say that she didn't even care how her father would act or treat her, as long as he was present in her life, which draws to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I think the essay could be relatable to a lot of kids trying to find their own sense of normal in life. While I think guidance is important in growing up and developing your own thoughts and ideas, I think that being able to come up with your own idea of normalcy is more important for development. If Bebe's mother wasn't so persistent in telling her how to act in public especially because she was colored, I don't think Bebe would have felt such a strong feeling of anger toward her family situation because she would have been able to build a stronger relationship with the ... We have dark hair, olive toned skin, and are all very hairy. Every single one of us. Knowing I look different than my peers has contributed to a feeling of otherness whenever I'm around my friends who do look traditionally white. It's an uneasy feeling that is hard to push away and always lingers. However, I haven't always felt like this. When I was in kindergarden I was a big fan of skirts. I wore them all the time. One time, i was sitting down when we had some free time and I remember looking at my bare legs. At the time, It took me a moment to realize my legs looked very different from the ... I don't actually remember that much about her before she was admitted to the hospital, only when she was. I remember what she looked like, I remember what her lap felt like when she'd hold me, but I do not remember her voice. When she was in the hospital I never quite grasped what was going on, I knew she was dying, but i dont think i ever knew what death was. After her funeral I was sad, but i kept waitin for the other shoe o drop. I didn't know how to grieve, I was nine, I went back to school and i didn't cry when i told other people what happened, and i didn't cry at her memorial. As i've gotten older, it's stuck with me more and more. When I was in middle school i felt exponential guilt, about my lack of tears when i was younger. I felt like I hadn't lover her enough and as a result been unable to grieve. As I've gotten older I've realized people deal with death differently, and to be fair, I was nine. This year, I decided to join the wrestling team. I am a very unskilled wrestler. I'm not saying this to tear myself, it's just true. However, I do love the sport, and would like to continue wrestling throughout High School. When I first joined, I was unable to take down a single boy on my team. Not even a single one. By the end of the season, the boy who I had been unable to pin once the first month I was able to pin half the times we wrestled by that last month. This was a lesson in hard work, and the fact that I am able to beat up boys (and girls). Those two things have given me lots of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 37. Killing The Black Body: An Analysis Having a sincere appreciation for clear and concise parameters, I tend to be a pretty literal person and at one time considered law as a profession. Hence, I can emphatically say that my thoughts regarding binding legal documents were that it was a signer's responsibility to understand and sign only what they agree to and agree to be held accountable for. That is, until I examined the circumstances surrounding the way in which a person signed an agreement, I had not considered the meaning of consent and what true consent encompasses. Today my understanding of consent has changed considerably. Consequently, I now know, true consent involves decisions based on factual information, made without duress or pressure, with a clear understanding of the agreement and its effects, both possible and probable, without influence, and with the ability to consult others, including professionals if desired. Although it seems unfathomable to have this right denied, specially by a figure in a position of trust and authority, who has taken an oath to help rather than harm under all circumstances, that is ... • 50. Women 's Roles Over Time From silent short films of the 19th century to full length films of the 1920s, women have played important central roles over time. Women have transitioned from submissive conservative roles to liberal something. A big part of this is due to the view of women changing in history. The 1800s was a time of, "advancement, invention and enterprise in the world of moving images." Thomas Edison, with the help of his assistants, created and patented the Kinetograph and Kinetoscope in 1891. These tools later created series of still frames that passed at a continuous rate. Because of the defect persistence of vision, the average person views a moving image. By "1894, attempts [by Lumiere Brothers] were made to replicate and improve Edison's Kinetoscope design." During the mid 1800s, a true woman understood her limitations. This included, " modesty, submissiveness, physical weakness, limited education, and complete devotion to [their] husband." Any actions that threatened these norms had to be put to a stop. During the late 1800s, there appeared to be advancements in education and movements for women's rights. Women were challenging the norms to become more independent. Many women did not want change for the consequences to come. But as soon as the film industry started, women culture began to reflect roles of main actresses. In 1984, a dancer named Carmencita was the first female to be in an Edison motion picture. In the film No Mas Bebes (No More Babies) we are presented with the cases of several women who underwent unconsent sterilization at the County Hospital in Los Angeles while giving birth to their child. The situation takes a turn when a young Chicana lawyer decided to support these women and take the case to court against this institution, and we get to see an aspect of the control of population in the United States, and particularly the control of Hispanic childbirths. In the article of Elena R. Gutierrez, she also talks about the situation of the births control, and she uses information and statements from the author John Tanton who believed in the control of population, to avoid over population, and the possible lack of resources for the Americans because of the immigrants having many babies here in the United States. Both pieces of information, (the film and the article) clearly show us the stereotypes about Latinas and the way they were, and continue to be treated. The film No Mas Bebes shows us the case of ten women whom with the help of the lawyer Antonia Hernandez decided to take their case of violation of their rights to the court, and fight against the Los Angeles County Hospital. We can see how these women were treated differently for being immigrant Latinas and having babies here in the U.S. They are clearly the targets of the hospital because they are having "too many babies" and that can be problematic in the eyes of many people like John Tanton who firmly ... This portrayal of African American women has led to direct mistreat and an encroachment upon their reproductive rights but subjecting countless African American women to forced sterilizations. Harding argued "supporting children gave the government the right to strip their parents of the capacity to produce more." (Roberts 89). This belief ignited a wave of forced sterilizations across the United states. Women such as Dorothy Waters directly felt the consequences of the Welfare Queen image. The jeans were designed by Georges Marciano, they called named the jeans GUESS because it was easy for the brothers to pronounce. French parenting encourages a higher level of trust and the ability for children to do things by themselves. American parents groom their children to be competitive right from the start. Wanting them to be the "best" at everything. They also have the idea that they have to be by their child's side at all times, if they are not they will be psychologically damaged, feeling guilty and anxiety from not being there for them. Many songs talk about civil rights of the people and how change should be an option. In the world we live in today we have social issues that people have to face such as: police brutality, racial profiling, discrimination etc. Through Kendrick Lamar, Public Enemy, The Game, Bebe Winans, and N.W.A they will use their voice as a weapon for change among all people. Music with a message thrives in a live setting, for obvious reasons, and many politically conscious musicians aim to channel the heightened emotions Kendrick Lamar's song "Alright" talks about race and how African Americans are being targeted and profiled. The song tells about the gun violence and police brutality that is effecting our community, "And we hate Popo, wanna kill us dead in the street for sure, n..." (Line 35). This quote out of his song is significant because in the world we live in someone gets killed every day for the color of their skin color or a profile that someone made off assumptions. As the song goes he tell about how African Americans were discriminated. "When you know, we been hurt, been down before, n... / When our pride was low, lookin' at the world like, "where do we go, n...?"' (Line 33–34). An authoritative parent is defined as being firm, setting clear and consistent limits, but who try to reason with their children, giving explanations for why they should behave in a particular way (Feldman & Landry, 2017, pg. 172). I also want what's best by making sure Bebe Jay grows to be respectful and friendly and with this style of parenting it is more than likely he will. The authoritative parenting style is also apart of my personality and beliefs that you should let children be children and guide them, but to discipline as well if they start to act out inappropriately. It isn't all about raising them to be good people, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I believe my experience and culture impact my parenting styles as well. My experience would be the way my parents raised me, my mother was a authoritarian and my father was permissive. It was an odd mix but it worked out well, my mother was very strict and I never disobeyed her because I knew the consequences. She was not abusive, but she had her ways of making sure I did what I was told and I appreciate it know as I look back. My father was permissive and was the one who would let me get away with some of the things I did, for example if I snuck an extra cookie from the jar he didn't mind. He had expectations of me to do what I was told but didn't yell or ever get mad at me if I didn't. It consists of the client, significant others, the environment, professionals, and information, which all can have either a positive or negative impact on discharge planning. A.D is a 13–month–old toddler who's developmentally unable to care for herself, so her significant others become the most important element in facilitating her discharge. Both of A.D's parents have steady incomes and are present throughout the day to take care of her. They participated in the treatment regimen by giving the nurse all the diapers to weigh, disclosing everything she ate and drank and performed suctioning using a bébé mouche. • 110. Queer Centric Love Stories By John Bebe However, when it comes to queer–centric love stories, the most common reaction follows the lines of "this is a gay story, about two gay people, and is about them being gay", due to the lack of substance to the plot. Even if a work does have a complex plot, the public's reaction and treatment of the work as "a gay story" is harmful to perceptions of queer life. Specifically, the manner in which many queer stories, and "Brokeback" (with the death of Jack) tragically end. These tragic ending, tragedy that is rooted in the character 's sexual orientation, only further sends the message that you can't live as a queer person without pain and consequences, that there is no legitimate way for a happy ending to occur for queer characters. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Integration of Female Characters: The "Damage" of The Closet The most notable difference between the film adaptation and the short story is the film's additional emphasis and integration of female characters. In the film, Alma has more of a focus, becomes more complex of a character, and has more lines than in the original story. Additionally, Laureen is a developed character with a personality and character arc, which was also something not found in the original story. This additional emphasis on females provides the audience with a new perspective from which to view the story. However, it is a perspective that is essentially harmful to the queer community. By having a focus on the female characters, the film "hedges against relying too much on gay–masculinity–as–realism both by cyclically returning point of view to the women in the film, and by draping a light scrim of comedy over Jack and Ennis's relationship. The moment when Michelle William's Alma sees her husband locking lips with his "fishing buddy" has achieved its own iconic status: Oprah Winfrey, when she hosted the cast for a pre–Academy Awards endorsement of the film's power, focused first on how hard it must have been for Heath and Jake to kiss each other–heavens!–but then insisted that the film was a lesson in the damage the closet wreaks on the lives of women who love closeted men (Joshua Clover)". ... Many of them, including the Barbees, remained convinced that Willingham was guilty, but several of his friends and relatives had doubts. So did some people in law enforcement. Willingham's former probation officer in Oklahoma, Polly Goodin, recently told me that Willingham had never demonstrated bizarre or sociopathic behavior. "He was probably one of my favorite kids," she said. Even a former judge named Bebe Bridges–who had often stood, as she put it, on the "opposite side" of Willingham in the legal system, and who had sent him to jail for stealing–told me that she could not imagine him killing his children. "He was polite, and he seemed to care," she said. "His convictions had been for dumb–kid stuff. Even the things stolen weren't significant." Several months before the fire, Willingham tracked Goodin down at her office, and proudly showed her photographs of Stacy and the kids. "He wanted Bebe and me to know he'd been doing good," Goodin recalled. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Though Vasquez, the arson expert, had recalled finding the space heater off, Stacy was sure that, at least on the day of the incident–a cool winter morning–it had been on. • 118. Gender Analysis : No Mas Bebes We live in a society where for decades we have been socialized to believe that there are only two genders: male and female. The idea of gender is socially constructed. Society and culture create gender roles and through those roles we all learn to enact our specific roles. With this in mind, this essay will seek to examine how gender shapes the structural and lived experiences of Chicanxs and Latinxs in the U.S. This essay will draw from Abrego, Acosta, Ocampo, and the documentary "No mas bebés" to see how gender affects an individual's experiences in the U.S. To begin with, Sacrificing Families by Leisy J. Abrego, draws on the narratives of many Salvadorian families to tell the stories on how illegality and gender shape their lives. In Chapter five, Abrego accurately captures the gender roles of immigrant parents in transnational families. Abrego makes it clear that there are inequalities between genders, men have always been privileged individuals, and regardless of the work, they make more money when compared to women. Through her interviews Abrego provides evidence for the structural reality of gender–stratified opportunities and the gender roles that benefit men and constrain women. According to Abrego, "For women, the three most common occupational sectors were domestic, garment and hotel house–keeping work (102). With this we can see that how the occupations of women are tied to their gender roles. Women are supposed to stay at home, clean the house, and nurture. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

• 126. The 's Fashion Forward Neighborhood Of Soho After a long day of working retail in Manhattan's fashion–forward neighborhood of Soho, going home tends to be the best part of my day. I usually take the length of my fifteen minute walk home to decompress, reflect upon my day and enjoy the solitude. I imagine the shoppers who heavily populated the streets earlier in the day cozying up in their chic, chandelier adorned high–rises, furnished with a coffee table stacked with vintage editions of Vogue, blogging about their most recent fashion finds. Recently, as I mindlessly admired the window displays of the shops lining Broadway, I noticed that the large windows of Bebe were barren; not because a new window display was being installed, but because they had closed this particular location, indefinitely. Although, I haven 't purchased clothing from Bebe in over a decade, I couldn 't help but feel nostalgic about my pre–teen years. I specifically remembered a hot–pink, terry cloth, cropped hoodie from Bebe that I adored. Ten years ago, I, like most people, did not care about how tacky I looked, I only cared about flaunting the bedazzled Bebe logo proudly across my chest. As a pre–teen girl in the early 2000's, obtaining your own article of rhinestone adorned Bebe clothing was like a rite of passage into your teenage years. Now, obtaining your first basic black tee from Topshop is considered the norm. One can only assume that if Bebe cannot afford a storefront in Soho, their sales might not be doing as well as they used to. For ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Bringing Up Bebe By Pamela Druckerman If you're an expectant mother or already a parent and you've never heard about the book Bringing Up Bébe by Pamela Druckerman, now is the right time to pick it up at your local book store and start reading. And if you're very busy, or overwhelmed with your daily tasks and don't have time for another parenting book, believe me, this one is a very easy read. You can literally finish it in one day. There, you won't find any tutorials on how to burb the baby or a vaccination schedule. The book is a simple yet very ineteresting overview of the French parenting philosophy and a phylosophy of life in general. I've read this book 2 years ago. I've heard so many flattering reviews that I decided to give it a try. The first thing that might come to your mind when reading it, is that the author tries to demoralize the way American parents have used to raise their kids. But in fact, the book is just a good comparison of how Amricans and French people tend to do things in regards to pregnancy and parenting. Each book we read is a source of improvement and I see Bringing Up Bebe to be such book. It's really fascinating how things are different in other part of the world. Both USA and France are world leading developed countries with so many things in common. Yet, when it comes to all things pregnancy, childbirth and raising kids, French people are onto something completely different. The Marquis Theater is a beautifully restored historic landmark. Upon entering, you are transported back to an earlier time. The lobby features the original french doors, the stained glass windows, and the old fashioned ticket booth. The theatre is a victorian design that has two aisle ways with red upholstered seats on the left, right, and middle. The theater is quaint in size but that only adds to the magical allusion that is created when you watch "The Snow Queen." "The Snow Queen" is produced by Chrisina Zayti who also is the technical director for the play. She is an Eastern Michigan Alumni and has been at the Marquis Theatre for quite some time. Yasmine Jaffri is the director and writer and works with Elaine Liverance who is the musical director, accompanist, and composer for the show. "The Snow Queen" has five main characters and many supporting character that are mostly children. The character of Snow Queen, the antagonist, was acted by Esther Jentzen another Eastern alumni who was making her debut on the Marquis Theatre's stage. Gina Karkoski plays Bebe the protagonist in the story and best friends to Louie, who is played by Emilee Theofanopoulos. That album was a masterpiece and they continue in its successful footsteps with their latest song that features Bebe Rexha and Kid Ink. The song is titled "That's How You Know" and the perfectly blending duo does what they do best before they let Bebe and Kid Ink put their art on it. "That's how you know" is a very captivating song. Bebe Rexha does the second verse and she had the best verse for me. The lady on the song killed it. "You were the man in college / got a degree in awesome / and had more zeros in your bank than all the matrix coding," sings Bebe. Pretty impressive right? Hell yeah. Bebe definitely had the most exciting verse on the song. Nico & Vinz come back for the third verse then Kid Ink does the last verse. Kid Ink continues to display an exceptional level of comfort with any style of music he is invited to feature on. From the guitar the song is sang on, it is hard to imagine what Kid Ink's verse would flow like but Kid Ink imposingly laid his verse. The flow was well paced to match the guitar and the lyrics also demonstrate the perfect "that's how you know you f**ked up" situation. The final chorus comes in after his verse and Bebe adds superb background vocals for this one. Her vocals will send chills allover your body – they are that amazing. "That's how you know" is that reunion song as you all tell stories about how life turned out and if you messed it up, the entire group will have to sing for you the chorus of this song. Mexican Men In The Bracero Jigsaw The U.S. Government historically oppressed Latino Immigrants through exploitation of Mexican men during the Bracero program, and discrimination through arbitrary sterilization of Latino women. Mexican men were sent to U.S. to work as a remedy of the WWII and were mistreated and exploited in the process. In the Bracero Jigsaw, the first reading explains that the Bracero program, signed in 1942 between Mexican and American governments, was created because the demand of the farm works increased as a consequence of the WWII, this program allowed Mexican men to work in U.S. with a legal permission, also was an opportunity for the U.S. Government to hire cheap labor.
