1. Firstly I opened up an a3 layer
in Photoshop and added a
white background

2. I then used the rectangle tool
to draw out different shapes
for my layer I made it red to
show the them of the
magazine

3. I then added my image which I cut out
with the pen tool and then placed it in
I added this because I thought it linked
in with the hip hop genre

4. Again I used the rectangle
tool to create these shapes
this was influence by designs
I've seen in other magazines

5. I then added my
article about hip hop
history to attract
readers about hip hop

6. I then added the
picture of killa h
the person who
was getting the
exclusive
interview and
added a stroke to
it to make it
stand outI then also added
bevel and emboss
to this and made it
slanted to attract
the readers and
make it link to hip
hop as it looked
cool

7. Added whit
text to stand
out on the
whit
background
which is also
the same
colour on my
masthead
Image of lady fire to
also attract female
readers and I will then
add a small article on
her

8. I then added all
these affect to
add a starlight
affect on the
image
