I have used mid shots for both of my images,
showing firstly, the student playing the keyboard &
the outside of the school.
I used PowerPoint to make the images into certain
shapes but have not done anything to edit them
extensively on Adobe Fireworks as I did with my
music magazine.
None of these were edited slightly were edited. This is
something I have progressed on greatly for my music
magazine as every image that I have used on there has been
edited one way or another.

I used an image of the Fitness
Suite for something extra show
on the contents page
(establishing shot)
I used an image of the library to
highlight the events that are
taking place here.
Only two of these images were edited slightly were edited.
This is something I have progressed on greatly for my music
magazine as every image that I have used on there has been
edited one way or another.
I took an image of a Sixth
Former, using a long shot angle.
I used PowerPoint to make the
secondary images into certain shapes
The original image of the fitness suite
was very dark and unappealing.
Using Fireworks, I brightened the
picture and made it more saturated.
As this image was also a bit dark, I
used Fireworks to brighten it so it
looked more appealing to be used as
a background for the contents page.
I also used a ā€˜Raised Embossā€™ filter.

Overall, I definitely think that I
have improved in my editing
skills from my preliminary task.
In my preliminary task of
making a school magazine, I
did not do any extensive editing
on images using Photoshop as I
did for my music magazine. Previous to doing this task, I
didnā€™t know how to use
Photoshop or some of the
tools on Fireworks; this is
something I have definitely
used in the progression to the
full product of a music
magazine.
