War Creative Writing
Being somewhat a cloddish child, missed the last remaining tread, and fell face first to the floor.
Tears came pouring out, attempting to allay the pain, as I laid there next to my fallen plastic foe as
two casualties of war. Suddenly, I was hoisted up, leaving the action man supine on the carpet as I
ascended. Jack held both my arms in his talons, vehemently; his powerful grasp adding a new
discomfort. "Accept it," he said. Pains ran high and emotions dug deep; a thoughtless thought as
naked as a nerve boxed in ice is the feeling of vulnerability and physical agony, and in that moment,
not understanding what was happening, my face and nether region were flooded ruins. Jack stared
sternly into my eyes. "Accept the pain for what it is, accept it!" "It hurts," I ... Show more content on

"What are you going to do?" I asked. He said nothing, just a nod of the head that indicated towards
the kitchen and a smile that inspires somatic sheep. I followed him out into the garden. There was
the odd cloud that lingered in the blue sky. Nature to me has always seemed the most aesthetic form
of art; the weather being the true force that wields the brush. Each cloud an aerosol canvas ready to
be sculptured; looking up at the three clouds though, I couldn't see anything that resembled my
imaginative interpretations. The violent moment I had with Jack had clouded my mind and
judgement; leaving me a pallid shadow stalking his dominance. He knelt and placed the figurine on
the grass, and took out of his pocket the magnifying glass which now had a clandestine
presence."Are we to look for battle wounds and fix them?" I asked. "Watch," he said. As he was
about to place the magnifying glass above the action man's head, I couldn't help but ask him what
every cloud has a silver lining means. "Well, for this chap, not likely," he answered with a facetious

Persuasive Essay On Why Kids Should Paid An Allowance
Additionally, forty eight percent of parents who had children in school paid them for good grades.
The average pay rate for an A was $16.60.
Many children receive a pretty decent allowance, but just how do they spend it? Are they allowed by
their parents to spend it? USA Weekend conducted a survey on teens and they found out that
seventy five percent of teens are in complete control of what they spend their money on. They
should be advised, but not restricted. The teens need to learn about what they need to buy versus
what they want to buy. This will teach the child to be responsible with his or her earnings. However,
it is important that the parent does not pay for something the child would regularly pay for if they
are short on cash ("How Your Child Spends His Allowance"). In general, children will pay for
things that entertain them and things they want. Parents will typically pay for things they ask for
objects that are more expensive like cars, cell phones, movies, downloads, and sports or hobby
equipment (Smith). One mom had a great method to teach her children about the true value of
money. After walking around with them in the store, they would ask for small toys all throughout
the store. Consequently, the mom said "no" and later decided to start paying an allowance and let
them buy the toys instead. Her reasoning behind this technique was to supply her children with
enough money to buy maybe a few toys at a time. This caused the children to think critically about
whether they actually wanted the toy or not and why they should buy one toy over another. More
things to avoid paying for as the children get older are library book fines (if they are into reading
that is), souvenirs that would be bought on vacation, and books or other items from book fairs
(Kerry). The kids can figure out what they should spend their money on. Long story short, if parents
are going to pay an allowance, make sure the kids know what they are getting paid for.
A fair point can be made on the side of children not receiving an allowance. Some parents may say
that they did not get paid for household chores so why should they show their kid that it is normal to
be paid for chores. Another main point of the argument against paying

Fidget Spinners Essay
Something showed up at early 2017, and it instantly became a massive hit. Guess who they are. Yes,
fidget spinners. Small fidget toys made from plastic or metal, spinning on our fingers to their
massive boom. These toys might look simple and small, but their popularity isn't. They're well
known all over the world. So, what do they hide behind their metal bearings? Where and when do
they come from? Sit back and get yourself a cup of coffee, as I will take you on this trip, uncovering
fidget spinners, and examining their reason of existence, in terms of science and art. Before cracking
these spinners deeper, we'll first go through the history of fidget spinners. There are no clear
evidence about it's original inventor, but there are indeed some other evidences that could lead into
the creation of this small toy. Catherine Hettinger, 62 years old, is one of it. She is a chemical
engineer, and she said that she's a tinkerer. Surprisingly, she doesn't have any kind of connection
towards any companies that are producing this popular toy. She had her first 2 patents for a placemat
that could help people on their diet. Her third patent, granted in 1997, is a circular device made from
a single piece of plastic that spins on the tip of a finger. She called this device a "spinning ... Show

The art of Fidget Spinners. As it becomes a massive hit, this spinning fidget toy grows into
something more than only a fidget toy. It becomes some sort of art, and quite number of people are
into it. At first, we start with some boring–designed–fidget spinners. They were mostly plastic, and
they are molded in one colour. But as the trend invades, there are tons of design modifications.
Today, fidget spinners come in a ton of different colours, shapes, and material. They used to only
have 3 "wings", but now, some of them have 2, and some even have more. You could even get a

The Presence Of Social Pressure And Stop Playing With Toys
The presence of social pressure to stop playing with toys featured most commonly among the
participants. They all specifically mentioned some form of conformity to social norms of 'growing
up' (e.g., R27, 151–152; R33, 238–241; R46, 158–160; R51, 302–304; R57, 108–111; R59, 144–
146). They provided examples of alternative activities that were considered acceptable for adults,
such as hanging out with friends (e.g., R27, 103–104; R59, 72–73), and electronic games (e.g., R46,
158–160; R59, 79–80).
The pressure that participants felt to move on from playing with toys appeared to emerge either
internally, stemming from self–identification as 'grown–up' (e.g., R33, 121–123; R46, 254–255;
R51, 79; R59, 55) or externally, through observation and imitation of peer behaviour (e.g., R46,
124–126; R59, 144–146) In a few instances, participants mentioned being explicitly told by peers
that playing with toys was no longer acceptable (e.g., R27, 188–190; R57, 108–111; R59, 71–72),
although parents were rarely cited as a source of pressure (e.g., R57, 114–115; R59, 140–143).
Participants with siblings highlighted the impact of these siblings on their cessation of play with
toys. Interestingly, participants with younger siblings tended to cite an internal process of social
pressure, where they were driven by a personal desire to appear older:
R27: ... you get to an age where if your sisters are playing with them and they are younger, you don't

Think about something that can't be lived without. The first thought coming to mind may be food,
water or shelter, but for others that unlivable material could be an object. It could be a phone, a
favorite shirt, a toy or any other assortment of items. Now imagine how that item can influence a
life and decide if it does produce a long term impact in people's thoughts and actions. A narrow
mirror hanging on a wall or a pair of shoes on one's feet may appear trivial, but any item can have a
story behind it and generate a lifelong impact. Can an object actually shape who someone is? Any
object can influence someone's life, no matter what it may be. I'm confident this is true since at one
year of age, I acquired an item that helped craft who I am today and without it, my attitude and
values would be drastically different.

birthday gift, I became adamant on not letting puppet out of my sight. Because of this fierce sense of
protection, every night I would hunt him down, wrap him in my meager baby arms, and fall fast
asleep. Some found it odd a young child was sleeping with a dog made of hard plastic, but because I
grew up with him I preferred him over any regular teddy bear. Puppet

A Toy Breed Dogs
Introduction
The kennel club states that 30–60% of canis familiaris (Dogs) in the United Kingdom are
overweight (The Kennel Club, 2017). Nutrient requirements vary dependent on the species, the
breed of the species makes a huge impact on the requirements (Thomason, 2013). Many Toy breed
dogs have a different requirement to what working dogs would have, as they are biologically diverse
(Sanderson, 2016). Furthermore, they will vary on age, sex, life stage, illness/disease, pregnant or
lactating animal and their physiological state (Frost, 2015).
This study is focused on a 7–year–old Japanese Chin named Keeko. Weighing at 3kg, he is rated at
a 3 out of the 1–9 body conditioning scale as he is under his ideal weight. The rate three was ...

Over or under supplementation of nutrients
Water
There is an approximate 33–66ml that is required in a dog per kg of their body weight (Hand et al,
2000). So, the 3kg Japanese chin would need approximately 198ml of water per day. There will be
water accessible for the dog at all times, as it is there most important nutrient for their body (Agar,
2001).
Energy Requirements
Metabolizable energy requirement has been calculated using the Waltham daily energy requirement
calculation (My Cocker Spaniel, 2002).
MER = 110 x (body weight in kilograms– 3KG)0.75 = 285 for active Japanese chin weight 3kg (My
cocker spaniel, 2002).
Other requirements
Calcium
Using the European Pet Food Industry Federation Guidelines, the calculation is to know the amount
of calcium needed;
1.25/1000x 285 (MER) = 0.002225grams of calcium per day (The European pet food industry
federation, 2013).
For calcium, there is only a miniscule amount needed which will be found in the food that is given
to the dog. Which is there is too much given to the dog it can cause skeletal problems such as
decreased bone density (Lee, 2017).
Phosphorous
Calcium and phosphorous levels need to have a suitable ratio to fulfil their duties within the body.
Furthermore, calcium and phosphorous ratios or often 2:1 but can vary depending on the animal and
situation (International plant nutrition institute, 1999).

Review Of ' The Lady With The Toy Dog '
The thought that a fictitious movie like Twilight is actually affecting women seems almost bizarre.
You may wonder how it's even possible that we can be so easily influenced by what some consider
an "aimless series of vampire books". However, it's a proven fact that our brains react to fiction tales
and they can indeed impact us in ways we could only imagine. A study was done in 2009 at the
University of Toronto in Canada testing the hypothesis that art can cause significant changes in the
experience of one's own personality traits under laboratory conditions. According to the research
journal, On Being Moved by Art: How Reading Fiction Transforms the Self, created by several
authors: After completing a set of questionnaires, including the Big–Five Inventory (BFI) and an
emotion checklist, the experimental group read the short story The Lady With the Toy Dog by
Chekhov, while the control group read a comparison text that had the same content as the story, but
was documentary in form. The comparison text was controlled for length, readability, complexity,
and interest level. Participants then completed again the BFI and emotion checklist, randomly
placed within a larger set of questionnaires. The results show the experimental group experienced
significantly greater change in self–reported experience of personality traits than the control group,
and that emotion change mediated the effect of art on traits. The findings of this research, along with
plenty of other studies

Effects Of Video Games On The Body
Do you think video games affect the body? As a matter of fact video games do affect your body.
Playing violent video games has aggressive thinking, and aggressive behavior. Video game that are
dangerous have been more highly to become an issue for smart people like scientists and the public.
There are people who are concern that playing violent video games might just increase the risk of
aggression in people who are playing the game. People are aware that teens talk about weapons
highly dangerous weapons that can hurt people. They are afraid that one of the teens will try it on
someone they might just hurt the person they live with. In 2011 the field of video game violence
experienced serious of repudiations. Video games have become America's children's most fun
activity to play. The children like playing the video games so much because the games are addicting
trying to get higher than last time or last longer or get to the end of the game or level it's so crazy. I
say it's addicting because you always want to do better or you want to do better than everyone els.
There's an online were you can play with others you don't know. Sometimes they go against each
other and when they lose so they get really mad and defensive. Adults and children have different
images when it comes to video games. This is challenging for kids and some kids like competition.
Because of this, parents notice the difference about video games. So many worry that playing

Giant toy stores since they do not manufacture their own products, attempt to develop brand loyalty
to the stores themselves. The shopping experience itself is now sold to consumers. Retailers want
customers to think of their stores as a destination, not a mere outlet for the distribution of products.
Their goal is to move attention away from the products sold, which are available anywhere, even
over the Internet, to the place where the products are sold. Diamond Toys, one of such specialty toy
shops in USA emphasizes status, high quality, unique merchandise and excellent service. Their goal
is to attract a wealthy, cosmopolitan clientele seeking unique, high–quality toys sold by solicitous,
knowledgeable service workers. Hence, stores in the Diamond Toys chain are generally located in
upscale shopping districts in major cities and are built to resemble amusement parks making them
appeal to tourists as well as to the wealthy. Hence, the image the store wants to build for itself, the
clientele it wishes to serve, play a major role in deciding store locations. A store which is interested
in building an image of value for money and offers large discounts will probably locate itself in the
city outskirts and depend upon the discount and variety if offers to lure customers to make the trip

Pros And Cons Of Toy Dogs
Toy Dogs
Chibi Dynamite in Fur by John Paraiso for REACH
So, you want to have a dog, but you live in a small apartment in a very busy neighborhood and

always adopt a toy breed.
Chibi Dynamite with Fur
As the smallest dog breed compared to work dogs or guard dogs. Most toy dogs are considered as
special pets like lap dogs or a companion dog. A typical toy dog breed may weigh in at ONLY, 4 to
7 pounds. Toy breeds usually have endearing and affectionate personalities and are as lovable and
loyal companions as guard dogs or work dogs. One unexpected benefit of having toy dogs in the
house is that they are often acutely aware of their surroundings and sometimes are more alert than

Pros and Cons of Keeping a Toy Breed
Small toy dogs provide many advantages over larger breeds. They can adjust to small or cramped
environs and most need less exercise compared to bigger breeds. Toy dogs can survive in smaller
living areas due to their size, and will be perfectly happy if they can just frisk around even in small
spaces. Toy breeds shed less hair, consume less food and dispose less poop. They can be brought
almost everywhere because their size does not prohibit them from entering areas where larger dogs
might be banned. You also need less grooming maintenance (from spaying, deworming).
However, if you will think that because of their size the toy breed wil automatically be easier to
keep as a pet or require less maintenance – like say, maintaining a cat, you are greatly mistaken.
Remember that a toy breed is still a dog and it will still need to be cared for like a dog. Responsible
pet care and keeping is still the

Stereotypes In Toys
The toy manufactory industry has implanted the idea that toys that children play with should
correspond with their gender. Manufacturers differentiate whom the toy is for by the color of the toy
and type of toy. The toys that I observed at Target, were categorized based on the stereotypes of
gender roles, and age groups.
For children ages two and under, the types of toys included in their aisles were musical
"instruments" that are geared to help them learn. The Fisher–Price Learn with Me Zebra Walker, is
targeted to teach young children to help them learn how to walk, it teaches them their ABC's and
123's as well. The bright colors and music is meant to attract the child's attention, also to refine their
fine motor skills and their gross motor skills. The toys in these aisle, were for the most part gender

gender is associated with certain toys. For example, the KidKraft is for girls, it teaches skills that
gears them for future career such as a housewife. Another example, is the Baby Alive Dolls are
marketed for girls three and up, these dolls poop, cry, crawl, they act like real babies; the purpose of
this toy is to teach young girls, good mothering skills. Toys targeted for boys ages three and up are
toys like the Step 2 Deluxe Workshop, this is marketed to teach boys have to be handy and be able

Benefits Of Fidget Spinners
Fidget spinners are little gadgets with a bearing in the center that enables you to turn it in your hand.
They are usually made up of metal or plastic and come in wide assortment of designs and colors. A
large number of the most popular products have three prongs surrounding the bearing that makes for
an entrancing sight while spinning.
To use a fidget spinner, an individual holds the center point of the spinner with thumb and finger
and afterward utilizes the other hand or different fingers on a similar hand to get the spinner turning.
Once it is rotating, there are tricks to be explored, such as adjusting the rotating spinner on a thumb.
Balancing a moving item truly has need of watching out for it, and performing tricks is a great deal
of what makes the spinner's fun. It's likewise what draws the eyes of the student far from the
teacher. This is the most despicable aspect of an educator attempting to keep a classroom focused.

Hightower Department Stores: Imported Stuffed Animals Essay
Hightower Department Stores: Imported Stuffed Animals
Executive Summary
On the morning of January 17, 1993, before the annual buying trip to Germany for the 1993
Christmas season, the toy buyer for the chain of Hightower Department Stores named Julia Brown
was reviewing the performance of some models of stuffed animals tested for sales during 1992.
Every time Julia's on the trip, she would buy some stuffed animals for testing. Fifty was the
minimum amount the manufacturers require. Based on Julia's years of buying experience, the tested
result would give Julia a clear estimation about how many new stuffed animals she needed to order.

The imported stuffed animals were just in accordance with Julia's strategies.
The strategies had given the company an advantage that about half of its toys are imported while
other mass merchants and toy supermarkets only had less than 20 percent of imported toys.
Possible Decision Alternatives and Evaluations
According to the decision problem session, three simple decision trees could be developed:
Julia's alternatives are either buying toys from domestic manufacturers, or importing from foreign
countries. Buying from domestic could at least gave $1150 contribution while the contribution of
selling imported toys depended on each different results from test sales. The result of tested sales
seemed to be a good indicator of realized sales, thus linear regression was calculated according to

Mexican Family Reflection Paper
I come from a very conservative Mexican household. That being said there were certain guidelines
or roles that each gender had to follow. I come from a family of five, and we consist of 2 males and
3 females. Being a female, that meant that I was expected to do the household chores, the cooking
of the house, and care for younger siblings. While we were expected to do that, my brothers didn't
have an obligation to do any of the responsibilities we were held accountable to. Although, they
were expected to have jobs at an early age to help and provide income for the family. In the
Mexican culture, males are preferred over females. For instance, my father would prefer to bond
with his sons rather than his daughters because he wanted them to grow up confident and dominant.
My brothers were allowed to talk at the dinner at any time, but if any of the females want to
comment they have to wait until the men are done discussing. Other times, we were not allowed to
have input without being shamed by our father. Also, we were not allowed to answer for man even if
they could not answer at the moment. There was an obvious difference of how lenient our parents
were with my brothers compared to how we were treated. My brothers were allowed to be with
friends, and if they did not meet curfew they weren't scolded for being late. On the other hand, if
any of my sisters and I were late just by one minute, we were not allowed to leave again because we
seemed to not be able to come back on

Business Plan For A Business
Business plans are documents used for planning out specific details about your business. They can
range in size from a simple few sentences to more than 100 pages with formal sections, a table of
contents and a title page. According to Entrepreneur Magazine, typical business plans average 15 to
20 pages. Comprehensive business plans have three sections business concept, marketplace and
financial and these are broken down into seven components that include the overview or summary
of the plan, a description of the business, market strategies, competition analysis, design and
development, operations and management, and financial information. The primary purpose of a
business plan is to define what the business is or what it intends to be over time. Clarifying the
purpose and direction of your business allows you to understand what needs to be done for forward
movement. Clarifying can consist of a simple description of your business and its products or
services, or it can specify the exact product lines and services you 'll offer, as well as a detailed
description of your ideal customer. And the following are the major elements of a business plan:

Lego Case Study for
ISM class 5014
How did the information systems and organization diging changes implemented by Knundstorp
align with the changes in business strategy.
The Lego Cast Study is about how the toy company has been affected by the rapid and vast change
in the way children play with toys and their preference of the same. Historically, Lego's have been a
top rated toy for children and when that quickly changed Lego was not expecting it and furthermore
not prepared. The company began to lose money, "by 2004, the company found itself close to
extinction, losing $1 million a day." (Saunders & Pearlson , 2013) A new CEO, Jorgen Vig
Knudstorp, was hired in an effort to bring the company back to its feet and the Lego toys back ...

This allowed Lego to better serve customers by enhancing their overtaxed order management and
fulfillment systems. (Pearlson & Saunders)
At first glance many would discount the idea that Lego deployed a strategy of hyper competition.
However, when we consider some of the characteristics of hyper competition, such as profit
maximization, emphasis on customer satisfaction, and the ability to dynamically adjust allocation of
organizational resources, we see that Lego did adopt a hypercompetitive strategy.
4. What advise would you give Knudstorp to keep Lego competitive, growing and relevant?
I think Knudstorp did an amazing job with coming into Lego and taking a failing business to a
successful one by building a block style work environment. He made standards which the
employees were to follow which allowed them more creative freedom and incentives to want to
improve upon the great quality of their products. One suggestion I would give Knudstorp would be
to spend more time focusing on his competition and to see what Lego could do to model what has
worked for their company and how it would fit in best with Lego. Mattel is Lego's biggest
competition in the market place. Mattel has advanced in the market place due to their new–product
development effort. Toy developers are encouraged to think globally from

What Is The Psychological, Social And Cultural Aspects Of...
From the time we are born, we are taught the correct way to act within society. We are taught the
rules of conduct of society and we learn to follow them in order to be socially normal. The second
we are born or even before we are born we are determined a gender. The rest of our life and the way
we are expected to act revolves around that gender. Our gender shapes who we are expected to be
and shapes an image in our parents head of who they want us to be. Gender plays a key role
throughout our life, it is defined as "the psychological, social and cultural aspects of masculinity and
femininity" (butler–sweet,c,2017). Masculinity and femininity have been standardized into their
own stereotypes. For example, masculine is known as aggression, competitive, brave, etc. While
feminine is known as sensitive, weak, nurturing, etc. Because of these traits and these stereotypes
masculinity holds a higher power over femininity. Therefore, when the parents have the child and
they find out what gender they are they automatically uphold them and raise them according to these
standards. This begins to refer to gender socialization which is "the process by which we learn the
rules and conduct the behavior of masculinity and femininity" (butler–sweet,c,2017). Meaning, that
from a young age, we learn the correct way to act within society, including the correct way to act
according to our biological gender. Once our parents know if we are a boy or a girl they decorate
our room a certain way,

Do Toys Help Shape Us Into How We Function As Adults?
Think back to when you were a child. Did you have a favorite toy? Was it your Power Rangers,
Barbie's, Lincoln Logs, or LEGO's? We all had toys that we considered favorites and, probably, still
covet in some way today. We also probably still have some vivid memories associated with that toy.
While we remember our fondness for such toys, we probably haven't put much thought to the many
ways these toys helped shape us into who we are today.
Toys can be remarkably important aspects of a child's growth. They truly do help shape us into how
we function as adults. "Research has shown that children's learning mainly happens through play –
and what else is a toy for but to play? When children play with toys, they learn and develop various

"The name 'LEGO ' is an abbreviation of the two Danish words "leg godt", meaning "play well""
(LEGO History Timeline, 2012). That being said, have we ever really thought about what it means
to "play well" or what LEGO's can do for a child's development? Surprisingly, LEGO's really can
improve a child's physical, emotional, social and cognitive development at multiple stages
throughout their trek to adulthood.
For this assignment, I will focus primarily on how LEGO's can expand the development of children
two to three years of age. By the age of two, a child is in the core of transitioning from "baby" to
"child." That means he or she will experience significant milestones in their development. It may
also be quite the adjustment for the parent or guardian, too! There are many changes that happen at
this age, but perhaps the most important are those that happen with their motor, social, cognitive and
emotional evolution. This is a time when a child begins to discover that they can do things on their
own, form ideas and understanding of the world around them and interact with others both
physically and vocally. They are hyper–aware of their surroundings and become comfortable with
expressing such emotions that awareness evokes.
So, how could LEGO's improve a child's physical development? In thinking of kids' ages two to
three years old, use of LEGO's

Persuasive Speech On Adopting Animals
A dog isn't just simply a dog. A dog is a best friend, a companion, a detective, a guide, a gift, and
much more. So why would people mistreat their dogs? People still don't know the answer to this
question. Commercials have been trying to shine some light on the public about the issue at hand.
The issue includes people adopting animals and not being able to care for them. If we take it one
step forward, we are also worried about people abusing an animal. A couple commercials in my
mind have done an outstanding job in spreading the message of knowing if you are responsible
enough to adopt an animal. A commercial that caught my eye is called "Gift". "Gift" starts off with a
man driving a very nice car up to a house. The man seems to be well dressed. The music in the
background is very happy and you can tell the man is happy as well. I can infer that it is cold outside
by the way the people are dressed and how there are no leaves on the trees and it is gloomy. He then
gets out of the car and picks up a little girl. The little girl has red hair and is carrying a stuffed toy
dog. The man hugs the little girl and puts her in the car with him. The man shares some food with
the little girl, which suggests that they like each other and get along.
In the next scene, there is a woman with a different little girl that is blonde. The two are drawing
and enjoying themselves. I can infer that the older lady is the mother of the younger one due to the
older lady giving the younger one a

I looked at Ruby, she was just sitting there. I went outside. She had more space to do tricks, "You
want a treat, right? Then do a trick! Please?" She sat there, itching herself of all the flea bites she
had. I Thought. What if I can get her a toy? I asked my mom If she can go to the store to get Ruby a

Video Game And Violent Video Games
Along with the rapid development of the internet in recent years, game and violence game have
become companions of young people. We could not deny the fact that video game already has
strong attraction for many people. Especially in today's society, when work pressure is growing,
gaming is an effective solution to relieve tension, dispel feeling of fatigue, anxiety. Playing the
normal video game, which it not include any violence scenes, plus regulatory reasonable playing
time can help players relaxed and balanced in terms of psychological after hours of studying, and
working hard. But a lot of current game players do not like the game that bring the gently feeling,
they want to experience a new kind of game, which make up a stronger feeling, and be able to do
thing that they would not be able to do in the real world. This is one major reason that make people
who enjoy to play violence video game have increase, and difficult to abandon this kind of game. A
lot of people think that when you often playing violent video game, you will easy be haunted by the
feeling of the spectacle going on in the game, and this will lead to the violation of real life. There is
also an argument that violent video game did not affect the players because it is just a game, and it
not real. The players should be able to tell what is real and what is virtual. In my opinion, playing
violent video game did not affect to people behavior. Instead of that, playing violent video game is a

Choosing the Right Dog Toy For Your Dog
By Kelly Marshall
Dec 24, 2011
Dogs do get bored very quickly and just as you will need to keep your brain motivated so do they
and buying them dog toys is the best way to keep them entertained. No matter what age they are
they will appreciate having something to play with both when you are there and when they are on
their own. Dog toys are a great way to encourage your dog to play and can help with training and
discipline issues.
If you can give your dog a dog toy before you leave the house then they will be less likely to be
destructive and chew your furniture. Bored dogs can be very bad and they will become more likely
to destroy their surroundings. Although dog toys are great you need to understand that your dog
needs attention from you as well. You should try to buy your dog several different dog toys so that
they can play with different ones. There are many different dog toys for you to choose from and
which ones you select will depend on the type of dog you have.

The Theories Of Albert Bandura Essay
Albert Bandura is a psychologist who states that behavior is learned from the environment through
the process of observational learning. He believes that humans are "active information processors"
and connects their behavior and consequences. He didn 't believe that direct reinforcement could
lead to any type of learning. Instead, his theory stated that learning occurs simply by observing the
actions of others. Children observe any influential models such as parents, teachers, siblings and
peers around them. which connects to his theory about how a child is more likely to imitate those
people it perceives as similar to itself like those of the same sex.
Bandura's theory describes the majority of what I observed when I went to Montgomery Child Care
Association. I arrived there at 9:00 AM as the children were starting to enter the building. The
classes were separated by names. The one I was in was called "The Dinosaur class". The children
began to remove their jackets and hang it in their individual cabinets as they had seen the teachers
doing. There were three adults and twenty, two to three year olds. One of the teacher began the day
by showing half the kids magic tricks. First, she put glue in a water bottle and put a thick black
paper in it. She then began to shake it rapidly. She pulled out the black paper that is now in the form
of spiders.
The five children observed what she was doing and began to copy her to do the same. The children

What Is The Future Of Toys R Us
The Future of Toys 'R" Us The retail industry is currently going through extremely difficult times –
companies need to rethink what products they sell and how they sell. Toys "R" Us is a prime
example of a company currently juggling this crucial problem. After recently filing for bankruptcy,
they introduced some strategic changes that they would be making to their traditional brook and
mortar stores. These changes are intended to excite the customer and to encourage them to return to
their stores. With new innovating ideas, they hope it will be enough for their existing customers, and
attractive to possible new customers. They will know soon enough if their efforts are enough. Toys
"R" Us has not always been the retail giant they are today. It was founded by Charles P. Lazarus; at
the time, a young entrepreneur. After returning from World War II, he contemplated what type of
store he should operate. He began selling baby furniture, but then began to carry a few toys. He
noticed that people would keep coming back to his store to shop his merchandize. The store then
began to carry a larger and larger assortment of options for his customers. In the late 1950's, Charles
restructured his company and introduced the format that many of us have grown accustomed to
when entering a Toys "R" Us. The company has since grown to operate more than 800 stores around
the world (History, n.d.). On September 28, 2017, Toy "R" Us reviled to the world how they

The Financial Statements Of Jakks Pacific, Inc.

The purpose of this paper was to evaluate the financial statements of Jakks Pacific, Inc. during the
past five years to assess the future profitability of the company. The long–term success of Jakks is
essential to enhancing the lives of people worldwide through employment opportunities, the

surprise. It only provided me with patent information and case law information. Google, Yahoo

Girl toy you picked (with description) The toy I chose was located in the girl aisle labeled dolls and

toy was part of a line of "Our Generation" dolls and accessories. The age range located on the toy
was 3 and up. On the description of the toy it says "She can pretend to bake muffins, cookies and
cupcakes and then clean up afterwards." The toy came along with lots of pieces all being very
colorful in schemes of darks and light pink.
Boy toy you picked (with description) The boy toy I chose was a Black and Decker rolling tool

suggested for this toy was the same for the girl toy three and up. A tag hanging off of the toy had a
cartoon drawing of a young boy in working apparel–holding tools.
Obvious differences between the toys and/or toy aisles The first obvious difference between the two
aisles was the color schemes. The boy's aisle was full of blues, greens, and darker colors. While the
girls aisle was filled with bright colors such as pink and purples. Another difference I noticed was
the boy aisle was also placed more toward outdoor toys while the girl section was located near
indoor athletic merchandize. The boy aisle overall had more active toys. Such as nerf guns, swords,

Gender Aspects Of Gender And Gender Roles In The Toys
Walk down the toy aisle of any big box store during the holidays, and it will quickly become
apparent that there are two distinct sections: the boy section and the girl section. The boy section is
dominated by creative, activity and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) based toys
like Legos and G.I. Joe and bikes and adventure gear. The girl section is almost entirely pink and
stocked with items that promote maternal and wifely activities; baby dolls and kitchen items and
miniature broom/dustpan sets. Children's toys being segregated by gender are harmful to
development in childhood and beyond. This establishes unfair gender roles and norms from the
earliest developmental stages. It perpetuates the idea that males are supposed to be the builders and
thinkers while females should cook, clean and make babies. This leaves little room for the belief
that men can be nurturing and sensitive, or that women can also be powerful, physical or self–
sufficient.
Shockingly, gender stereotyping toys has become more prevalent today than it was 50 years ago
when sexism was an expected and acceptable behavior. Toy ads from the Sears Roebuck catalog in
the mid–1970's had almost no toys specifically marketed by gender. Over time, and most likely in
reaction to the feminist movement in the 1970's, toy marketing, packaging and messaging has
evolved to what it is today. The issue has become so prevalent and systemic that in late 2015 at least
two separate groups took a

Best Dog Food
Buying the best dog food, and bones
The best dog food isn't just something you stumble upon; it takes time to research what is good and
what is going to be the most suitable for your pet. Some people think that the best pet food is always
the most expensive, as the "you get what you pay for" tagline rings true with so many human edible
brands. However, when it comes to pets, you will often find that the best dog food isn't always the
most expensive. In fact, it could be a complete paradox and be the least expensive. That's great news

Toys
There are numerous types of toys for your dog to choose from. Chew toys are likely going to be
your first purchase in the early years when your little pooch is always chewing on something. There
are rubber bones, squeaky toys, calves hooves, rope toys, balls, Frisbees... and an abundance of
every type of toy under the sun. That's why it's best to let your dog choose his own toys. With all of
those choices, you're bound to choose the wrong one.
Rope toys and balls can be used as chew toys as well. But most of the time, these toys are more for
interactive play. Most dogs like to play tug–of–war and fetch. But, again, speaking from experience,
don't use your own teeth to pull on the toy with your dog. That's a good way to be wearing dentures
before your time.
The ever–popular noise–making toy, more affectionately known as squeaky toys, is another good
toy for the curious dog. Dogs can spend hours trying to find the source of that darn squeak. But be
forewarned, when they finally find it, they are liable to swallow it. And until they do, that "darn"
squeak is likely to drive you crazy.

It becomes too risky to reinvent new ideas before the company has reached its growth stage of the
Life Cycle. The normal process is to reach maturity and then develop new ideas. Toyrus.com is
staying within scope of the Life cycle; although they have the toy business mastered they are still
trying to master the art of websites.
Social relevance is another factor that one can use to help analyze the attractiveness of the industry.
Overall, any form of business done over the Internet is socially accepted because the Internet offers
convenience as well as a time saver. The number one demographic group that frequents on–line toy
stores is mothers of children. They know that when it comes Christmas time, what better way to
save shopping time than to order the toys that kids want on the Internet. It is this mentality that
raises the relevance and necessity for such a website. Society already gives acceptance to the
Internet and to Toy "R" Us Inc., therefore Toyrus.com is also known to nearly all people within its
industry on the Internet.
The degree of globalization is another factor that influences attractiveness. If a company entering an
industry can also enter a global market, then it is attractive. Toysrus.com has businesses in other
counties such as the United Kingdom, Germany and France. Etoys.com, their main rival, is not as

Case Analysis : Toys R Us
After a long trial, the Court found that respondent Amazon.com had broken an understanding it had
gone into with offended party ToysRUs.com LLC ("Toys R Us"), by approving outsiders to offer
toys on Amazon 's site. Finding that this rupture went to the substance of the parties ' understanding
which as seen by the Court gave that Toys R Us was to be the sole outsider toy retailer on Amazon 's
site. The Court allowed Toys R Us ' demand that the assention be ended and rejected counterclaims
attested by Amazon, demonstrating out Toys R Us ' inability to keep up levels of stock sufficient to
take care of client demand as they chose to give a window into a transaction in which the gatherings
have, contending dreams of the structure of the exchange, and settle on contractual dialect that does
not completely express those dreams, or purpose the parties ' clash. In determining this debate, the
Court chose not to build its determination in light of the exacting significance of the words

My Favorite Toy Essay
Stealing a toy from my preschool classroom is the earliest and most shameful memory that I can
recall. Every day, my father was in charge of taking me to class since my mother had to leave for
work early in the morning. In my classroom, there were always so many wonderful toys spread out
for the children to play with. I liked them all, mostly because they weren't mine, which made them
extra special. Also, because we had to share the toys and could never hold onto one for too long, it
made them seem even more desirable. Even though I had a lot of my own toys at home, there was
one toy in the classroom that really captured my attention. It was a fuzzy, stuffed cat with a brush
and its own clothes. I had always begged my parents for a real cat, and the answer was always 'NO!'
This may not have been a real cat, but to my young mind, the stuffed one looked almost as good. I
really adored that toy but never had a chance to play with it for enough time. Because I was a shy,
petite girl, and I get red whenever I want to talk to someone, I couldn't ask for my turn to play with
that beautiful, fuzzy cat. After one frustrating day at school of being unable to play with my favorite
toy, I did something horrible. It was so easy to hide that toy in my backpack and take it home
because everybody was busy doing an activity with the teacher. I left for home completely excited
that now I could finally play with my beloved toy.
At home, I ignored all my toys and went running to my room

War Creative Writing

  • 1. War Creative Writing Being somewhat a cloddish child, missed the last remaining tread, and fell face first to the floor. Tears came pouring out, attempting to allay the pain, as I laid there next to my fallen plastic foe as two casualties of war. Suddenly, I was hoisted up, leaving the action man supine on the carpet as I ascended. Jack held both my arms in his talons, vehemently; his powerful grasp adding a new discomfort. "Accept it," he said. Pains ran high and emotions dug deep; a thoughtless thought as naked as a nerve boxed in ice is the feeling of vulnerability and physical agony, and in that moment, not understanding what was happening, my face and nether region were flooded ruins. Jack stared sternly into my eyes. "Accept the pain for what it is, accept it!" "It hurts," I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... "What are you going to do?" I asked. He said nothing, just a nod of the head that indicated towards the kitchen and a smile that inspires somatic sheep. I followed him out into the garden. There was the odd cloud that lingered in the blue sky. Nature to me has always seemed the most aesthetic form of art; the weather being the true force that wields the brush. Each cloud an aerosol canvas ready to be sculptured; looking up at the three clouds though, I couldn't see anything that resembled my imaginative interpretations. The violent moment I had with Jack had clouded my mind and judgement; leaving me a pallid shadow stalking his dominance. He knelt and placed the figurine on the grass, and took out of his pocket the magnifying glass which now had a clandestine presence."Are we to look for battle wounds and fix them?" I asked. "Watch," he said. As he was about to place the magnifying glass above the action man's head, I couldn't help but ask him what every cloud has a silver lining means. "Well, for this chap, not likely," he answered with a facetious ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Persuasive Essay On Why Kids Should Paid An Allowance Additionally, forty eight percent of parents who had children in school paid them for good grades. The average pay rate for an A was $16.60. Many children receive a pretty decent allowance, but just how do they spend it? Are they allowed by their parents to spend it? USA Weekend conducted a survey on teens and they found out that seventy five percent of teens are in complete control of what they spend their money on. They should be advised, but not restricted. The teens need to learn about what they need to buy versus what they want to buy. This will teach the child to be responsible with his or her earnings. However, it is important that the parent does not pay for something the child would regularly pay for if they are short on cash ("How Your Child Spends His Allowance"). In general, children will pay for things that entertain them and things they want. Parents will typically pay for things they ask for objects that are more expensive like cars, cell phones, movies, downloads, and sports or hobby equipment (Smith). One mom had a great method to teach her children about the true value of money. After walking around with them in the store, they would ask for small toys all throughout the store. Consequently, the mom said "no" and later decided to start paying an allowance and let them buy the toys instead. Her reasoning behind this technique was to supply her children with enough money to buy maybe a few toys at a time. This caused the children to think critically about whether they actually wanted the toy or not and why they should buy one toy over another. More things to avoid paying for as the children get older are library book fines (if they are into reading that is), souvenirs that would be bought on vacation, and books or other items from book fairs (Kerry). The kids can figure out what they should spend their money on. Long story short, if parents are going to pay an allowance, make sure the kids know what they are getting paid for. A fair point can be made on the side of children not receiving an allowance. Some parents may say that they did not get paid for household chores so why should they show their kid that it is normal to be paid for chores. Another main point of the argument against paying ... • 3. Fidget Spinners Essay Something showed up at early 2017, and it instantly became a massive hit. Guess who they are. Yes, fidget spinners. Small fidget toys made from plastic or metal, spinning on our fingers to their massive boom. These toys might look simple and small, but their popularity isn't. They're well known all over the world. So, what do they hide behind their metal bearings? Where and when do they come from? Sit back and get yourself a cup of coffee, as I will take you on this trip, uncovering fidget spinners, and examining their reason of existence, in terms of science and art. Before cracking these spinners deeper, we'll first go through the history of fidget spinners. There are no clear evidence about it's original inventor, but there are indeed some other evidences that could lead into the creation of this small toy. Catherine Hettinger, 62 years old, is one of it. She is a chemical engineer, and she said that she's a tinkerer. Surprisingly, she doesn't have any kind of connection towards any companies that are producing this popular toy. She had her first 2 patents for a placemat that could help people on their diet. Her third patent, granted in 1997, is a circular device made from a single piece of plastic that spins on the tip of a finger. She called this device a "spinning ... It becomes some sort of art, and quite number of people are into it. At first, we start with some boring–designed–fidget spinners. They were mostly plastic, and they are molded in one colour. But as the trend invades, there are tons of design modifications. Today, fidget spinners come in a ton of different colours, shapes, and material. They used to only have 3 "wings", but now, some of them have 2, and some even have more. You could even get a gold plated fidget spinner if you wanted ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Presence Of Social Pressure And Stop Playing With Toys The presence of social pressure to stop playing with toys featured most commonly among the participants. They all specifically mentioned some form of conformity to social norms of 'growing up' (e.g., R27, 151–152; R33, 238–241; R46, 158–160; R51, 302–304; R57, 108–111; R59, 144– 146). They provided examples of alternative activities that were considered acceptable for adults, such as hanging out with friends (e.g., R27, 103–104; R59, 72–73), and electronic games (e.g., R46, 158–160; R59, 79–80). The pressure that participants felt to move on from playing with toys appeared to emerge either internally, stemming from self–identification as 'grown–up' (e.g., R33, 121–123; R46, 254–255; R51, 79; R59, 55) or externally, through observation and imitation of peer behaviour (e.g., R46, 124–126; R59, 144–146) In a few instances, participants mentioned being explicitly told by peers that playing with toys was no longer acceptable (e.g., R27, 188–190; R57, 108–111; R59, 71–72), although parents were rarely cited as a source of pressure (e.g., R57, 114–115; R59, 140–143). Participants with siblings highlighted the impact of these siblings on their cessation of play with toys. Interestingly, participants with younger siblings tended to cite an internal process of social pressure, where they were driven by a personal desire to appear older: R27: ... you get to an age where if your sisters are playing with them and they are younger, you don't really want to play the same things as ... • 5. Descriptive Essay On Toy Dog Happy Tail Think about something that can't be lived without. The first thought coming to mind may be food, water or shelter, but for others that unlivable material could be an object. It could be a phone, a favorite shirt, a toy or any other assortment of items. Now imagine how that item can influence a life and decide if it does produce a long term impact in people's thoughts and actions. A narrow mirror hanging on a wall or a pair of shoes on one's feet may appear trivial, but any item can have a story behind it and generate a lifelong impact. Can an object actually shape who someone is? Any object can influence someone's life, no matter what it may be. I'm confident this is true since at one year of age, I acquired an item that helped craft who I am today and without it, my attitude and values would be drastically different. Made of hard plastic with floppy ears, a button nose, and splotches of brown decorating its body, was a toy dog I dubbed Puppet. The plastic dog was meant to be named Puppy, however I couldn't say it quite right and the mispronounced name simply stuck with him. Given by my mother as a first birthday gift, I became adamant on not letting puppet out of my sight. Because of this fierce sense of protection, every night I would hunt him down, wrap him in my meager baby arms, and fall fast asleep. Some found it odd a young child was sleeping with a dog made of hard plastic, but because I grew up with him I preferred him over any regular teddy bear. Puppet ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Nutrient requirements vary dependent on the species, the breed of the species makes a huge impact on the requirements (Thomason, 2013). Many Toy breed dogs have a different requirement to what working dogs would have, as they are biologically diverse (Sanderson, 2016). Furthermore, they will vary on age, sex, life stage, illness/disease, pregnant or lactating animal and their physiological state (Frost, 2015). For calcium, there is only a miniscule amount needed which will be found in the food that is given to the dog. You may wonder how it's even possible that we can be so easily influenced by what some consider an "aimless series of vampire books". However, it's a proven fact that our brains react to fiction tales and they can indeed impact us in ways we could only imagine. A study was done in 2009 at the University of Toronto in Canada testing the hypothesis that art can cause significant changes in the experience of one's own personality traits under laboratory conditions. According to the research journal, On Being Moved by Art: How Reading Fiction Transforms the Self, created by several authors: After completing a set of questionnaires, including the Big–Five Inventory (BFI) and an emotion checklist, the experimental group read the short story The Lady With the Toy Dog by Chekhov, while the control group read a comparison text that had the same content as the story, but was documentary in form. The comparison text was controlled for length, readability, complexity, and interest level. Participants then completed again the BFI and emotion checklist, randomly placed within a larger set of questionnaires. The results show the experimental group experienced significantly greater change in self–reported experience of personality traits than the control group, and that emotion change mediated the effect of art on traits. Most toy dogs are considered as special pets like lap dogs or a companion dog. A typical toy dog breed may weigh in at ONLY, 4 to 7 pounds. Toy dogs can survive in smaller living areas due to their size, and will be perfectly happy if they can just frisk around even in small spaces. Toy breeds shed less hair, consume less food and dispose less poop. They can be brought almost everywhere because their size does not prohibit them from entering areas where larger dogs might be banned. You also need less grooming maintenance (from spaying, deworming). However, if you will think that because of their size the toy breed wil automatically be easier to keep as a pet or require less maintenance – like say, maintaining a cat, you are greatly mistaken. For children ages two and under, the types of toys included in their aisles were musical "instruments" that are geared to help them learn. The Fisher–Price Learn with Me Zebra Walker, is targeted to teach young children to help them learn how to walk, it teaches them their ABC's and 123's as well. I come from a family of five, and we consist of 2 males and 3 females. Being a female, that meant that I was expected to do the household chores, the cooking of the house, and care for younger siblings. While we were expected to do that, my brothers didn't have an obligation to do any of the responsibilities we were held accountable to. Although, they were expected to have jobs at an early age to help and provide income for the family. In the Mexican culture, males are preferred over females. For instance, my father would prefer to bond with his sons rather than his daughters because he wanted them to grow up confident and dominant. My brothers were allowed to talk at the dinner at any time, but if any of the females want to comment they have to wait until the men are done discussing. Other times, we were not allowed to have input without being shamed by our father. Also, we were not allowed to answer for man even if they could not answer at the moment. There was an obvious difference of how lenient our parents were with my brothers compared to how we were treated. My brothers were allowed to be with friends, and if they did not meet curfew they weren't scolded for being late. • 26. What Is The Psychological, Social And Cultural Aspects Of... From the time we are born, we are taught the correct way to act within society. We are taught the rules of conduct of society and we learn to follow them in order to be socially normal. The second we are born or even before we are born we are determined a gender. The rest of our life and the way we are expected to act revolves around that gender. Our gender shapes who we are expected to be and shapes an image in our parents head of who they want us to be. Gender plays a key role throughout our life, it is defined as "the psychological, social and cultural aspects of masculinity and femininity" (butler–sweet,c,2017). Masculinity and femininity have been standardized into their own stereotypes. For example, masculine is known as aggression, competitive, brave, etc. While feminine is known as sensitive, weak, nurturing, etc. Because of these traits and these stereotypes masculinity holds a higher power over femininity. Therefore, when the parents have the child and they find out what gender they are they automatically uphold them and raise them according to these standards. This begins to refer to gender socialization which is "the process by which we learn the rules and conduct the behavior of masculinity and femininity" (butler–sweet,c,2017). Meaning, that from a young age, we learn the correct way to act within society, including the correct way to act according to our biological gender. While we remember our fondness for such toys, we probably haven't put much thought to the many ways these toys helped shape us into who we are today. Toys can be remarkably important aspects of a child's growth. They truly do help shape us into how we function as adults. That being said, have we ever really thought about what it means to "play well" or what LEGO's can do for a child's development? Surprisingly, LEGO's really can improve a child's physical, emotional, social and cognitive development at multiple stages throughout their trek to adulthood. For this assignment, I will focus primarily on how LEGO's can expand the development of children two to three years of age. By the age of two, a child is in the core of transitioning from "baby" to "child." That means he or she will experience significant milestones in their development. It may also be quite the adjustment for the parent or guardian, too! There are many changes that happen at this age, but perhaps the most important are those that happen with their motor, social, cognitive and emotional evolution. This is a time when a child begins to discover that they can do things on their own, form ideas and understanding of the world around them and interact with others both physically and vocally. They are hyper–aware of their surroundings and become comfortable with expressing such emotions that awareness evokes. So, how could LEGO's improve a child's physical development? People still don't know the answer to this question. Commercials have been trying to shine some light on the public about the issue at hand. The issue includes people adopting animals and not being able to care for them. If we take it one step forward, we are also worried about people abusing an animal. A couple commercials in my mind have done an outstanding job in spreading the message of knowing if you are responsible enough to adopt an animal. A commercial that caught my eye is called "Gift". "Gift" starts off with a man driving a very nice car up to a house. The man seems to be well dressed. The music in the background is very happy and you can tell the man is happy as well. The little girl has red hair and is carrying a stuffed toy dog. The man hugs the little girl and puts her in the car with him. The man shares some food with the little girl, which suggests that they like each other and get along. In the next scene, there is a woman with a different little girl that is blonde. He believes that humans are "active information processors" and connects their behavior and consequences. He didn 't believe that direct reinforcement could lead to any type of learning. Instead, his theory stated that learning occurs simply by observing the actions of others. Children observe any influential models such as parents, teachers, siblings and peers around them. which connects to his theory about how a child is more likely to imitate those people it perceives as similar to itself like those of the same sex. Bandura's theory describes the majority of what I observed when I went to Montgomery Child Care Association. I arrived there at 9:00 AM as the children were starting to enter the building. The classes were separated by names. The one I was in was called "The Dinosaur class". The children began to remove their jackets and hang it in their individual cabinets as they had seen the teachers doing. There were three adults and twenty, two to three year olds. After recently filing for bankruptcy, they introduced some strategic changes that they would be making to their traditional brook and mortar stores. These changes are intended to excite the customer and to encourage them to return to their stores. With new innovating ideas, they hope it will be enough for their existing customers, and attractive to possible new customers. They will know soon enough if their efforts are enough. Toys "R" Us has not always been the retail giant they are today. It was founded by Charles P. Lazarus; at the time, a young entrepreneur. After returning from World War II, he contemplated what type of store he should operate. He began selling baby furniture, but then began to carry a few toys. He noticed that people would keep coming back to his store to shop his merchandize. The store then began to carry a larger and larger assortment of options for his customers. In the late 1950's, Charles restructured his company and introduced the format that many of us have grown accustomed to when entering a Toys "R" Us. The company has since grown to operate more than 800 stores around the world (History, n.d.). On September 28, 2017, Toy "R" Us reviled to the world how they believed they would turn ... • 37. The Financial Statements Of Jakks Pacific, Inc. Part I: The Purpose of the Report and the Research Experience The purpose of this paper was to evaluate the financial statements of Jakks Pacific, Inc. during the past five years to assess the future profitability of the company. The long–term success of Jakks is essential to enhancing the lives of people worldwide through employment opportunities, the innovation of top quality products for consumers and shareholders so they can continue to benefit financially. Economic progression and heavy competition are a major factor surrounding their success or demise. The company has some highs and lows, nonetheless are not quite ready to throw in the towel. I received support from Professor Eckhart, who gave me positive criticism necessary to complete the assignment. The search engines I used to conduct my research were Google, Google Scholar, Yahoo Finance and Bing. I found only three out of the four to be extremely helpful in providing links to company news, interviews and etc. The least helpful was Google Scholar which is a surprise. It only provided me with patent information and case law information. Google, Yahoo Finance and Bing, search engines permitted me to accumulate and sort through proficient data which aided me in writing this paper. I used the information gathered to highlight the past and present financial ups and downs of a toy company fighting to maintain its lead in this competitive industry. The company's direct website was also extremely helpful given that they ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. Toy Toys And The Toy Girl toy you picked (with description) The toy I chose was located in the girl aisle labeled dolls and accessory. The toy was a miniature gourmet kitchen set. While a doll wasn't included in the set the toy was part of a line of "Our Generation" dolls and accessories. The age range located on the toy was 3 and up. On the description of the toy it says "She can pretend to bake muffins, cookies and cupcakes and then clean up afterwards." The toy came along with lots of pieces all being very colorful in schemes of darks and light pink. Boy toy you picked (with description) The boy toy I chose was a Black and Decker rolling tool bench. The toy included 14 plastic workbench accessories such as hammers, and saws. The age suggested for this toy was the same for the girl toy three and up. A tag hanging off of the toy had a cartoon drawing of a young boy in working apparel–holding tools. Obvious differences between the toys and/or toy aisles The first obvious difference between the two aisles was the color schemes. The boy's aisle was full of blues, greens, and darker colors. While the girls aisle was filled with bright colors such as pink and purples. Another difference I noticed was the boy aisle was also placed more toward outdoor toys while the girl section was located near indoor athletic merchandize. The boy aisle overall had more active toys. Such as nerf guns, swords, action figures, remote controlled cars. The girl aisle had games that would be more refined to ... • 39. Gender Aspects Of Gender And Gender Roles In The Toys Walk down the toy aisle of any big box store during the holidays, and it will quickly become apparent that there are two distinct sections: the boy section and the girl section. The boy section is dominated by creative, activity and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) based toys like Legos and G.I. Joe and bikes and adventure gear. The girl section is almost entirely pink and stocked with items that promote maternal and wifely activities; baby dolls and kitchen items and miniature broom/dustpan sets. Children's toys being segregated by gender are harmful to development in childhood and beyond. This establishes unfair gender roles and norms from the earliest developmental stages. It perpetuates the idea that males are supposed to be the builders and thinkers while females should cook, clean and make babies. This leaves little room for the belief that men can be nurturing and sensitive, or that women can also be powerful, physical or self– sufficient. Shockingly, gender stereotyping toys has become more prevalent today than it was 50 years ago when sexism was an expected and acceptable behavior. Toy ads from the Sears Roebuck catalog in the mid–1970's had almost no toys specifically marketed by gender. Over time, and most likely in reaction to the feminist movement in the 1970's, toy marketing, packaging and messaging has evolved to what it is today. The issue has become so prevalent and systemic that in late 2015 at least two separate groups took a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 40. Best Dog Food Buying the best dog food, and bones The best dog food isn't just something you stumble upon; it takes time to research what is good and what is going to be the most suitable for your pet. Some people think that the best pet food is always the most expensive, as the "you get what you pay for" tagline rings true with so many human edible brands. However, when it comes to pets, you will often find that the best dog food isn't always the most expensive. In fact, it could be a complete paradox and be the least expensive. That's great news for you, and for your dog. Do Some Research: So, what does it mean to buy the best dog food? Well, in short, it's all about trusting the brand you buy from. You need a name that has been around for a long time ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If you have any concerns, ask the vet. Toys There are numerous types of toys for your dog to choose from. Chew toys are likely going to be your first purchase in the early years when your little pooch is always chewing on something. There are rubber bones, squeaky toys, calves hooves, rope toys, balls, Frisbees... and an abundance of every type of toy under the sun. That's why it's best to let your dog choose his own toys. With all of those choices, you're bound to choose the wrong one. Rope toys and balls can be used as chew toys as well. But most of the time, these toys are more for interactive play. Most dogs like to play tug–of–war and fetch. But, again, speaking from experience, don't use your own teeth to pull on the toy with your dog. That's a good way to be wearing dentures before your time. The ever–popular noise–making toy, more affectionately known as squeaky toys, is another good toy for the curious dog. Dogs can spend hours trying to find the source of that darn squeak. But be forewarned, when they finally find it, they are liable to swallow it. And until they do, that "darn" squeak is likely to drive you crazy. Vaccinations Dogs need vaccines and preventative treatments. Talk to your vet to find out what vaccines your dog needs (it sometimes varies on where you live or your dog's breed), ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 41. Toys R Us Marketing When people here the name Toys "R" Us, they think back to when they were kids of going into a store made with bricks and mortar and leaving with mom in one hand and the latest toy in other and a great big smile from cheek to cheek. As time passed the pressure for companies to enter the "clicks" of e–commerce became strong. In 1998 Toysrus.com, a subsidiary of Toys "R" Us opened in attempts to "be wherever our customers are, and that includes the Internet." Having a strong brand recognition, there were no doubts that Toy "R" Us could continue their successful tradition by holding on to their vision, which is to "put joy in kids ' hearts and a smile on parents ' faces", even on the on the Internet. The normal process is to reach maturity and then develop new ideas. Toyrus.com is staying within scope of the Life cycle; although they have the toy business mastered they are still trying to master the art of websites. Social relevance is another factor that one can use to help analyze the attractiveness of the industry. Overall, any form of business done over the Internet is socially accepted because the Internet offers convenience as well as a time saver. The number one demographic group that frequents on–line toy stores is mothers of children. They know that when it comes Christmas time, what better way to save shopping time than to order the toys that kids want on the Internet. It is this mentality that raises the relevance and necessity for such a website. Society already gives acceptance to the Internet and to Toy "R" Us Inc., therefore Toyrus.com is also known to nearly all people within its industry on the Internet. The degree of globalization is another factor that influences attractiveness. If a company entering an industry can also enter a global market, then it is attractive. • 42. Case Analysis : Toys R Us After a long trial, the Court found that respondent Amazon.com had broken an understanding it had gone into with offended party ToysRUs.com LLC ("Toys R Us"), by approving outsiders to offer toys on Amazon 's site. Finding that this rupture went to the substance of the parties ' understanding which as seen by the Court gave that Toys R Us was to be the sole outsider toy retailer on Amazon 's site. The Court allowed Toys R Us ' demand that the assention be ended and rejected counterclaims attested by Amazon, demonstrating out Toys R Us ' inability to keep up levels of stock sufficient to take care of client demand as they chose to give a window into a transaction in which the gatherings have, contending dreams of the structure of the exchange, and settle on contractual dialect that does not completely express those dreams, or purpose the parties ' clash. In determining this debate, the Court chose not to build its determination in light of the exacting significance of the words eventually acknowledged by each one side. Rather, it strove to discover their propositions in going into this Understanding, and to offer impact to those aims. In this manner, the Court observed that it was the parties ' proposition, under their understanding, to make Toys R Us the restrictive toy retailer permitted to market on Amazon.com. While it found that none of the wrongs Amazon supposedly dedicated, remaining solitary, constituted a specialized rupture of the parties ' understanding, the Court ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. My Favorite Toy Essay Stealing a toy from my preschool classroom is the earliest and most shameful memory that I can recall. Every day, my father was in charge of taking me to class since my mother had to leave for work early in the morning. In my classroom, there were always so many wonderful toys spread out for the children to play with. I liked them all, mostly because they weren't mine, which made them extra special. Also, because we had to share the toys and could never hold onto one for too long, it made them seem even more desirable. Even though I had a lot of my own toys at home, there was one toy in the classroom that really captured my attention. It was a fuzzy, stuffed cat with a brush and its own clothes. I had always begged my parents for a real cat, and the answer was always 'NO!' This may not have been a real cat, but to my young mind, the stuffed one looked almost as good. I really adored that toy but never had a chance to play with it for enough time. Because I was a shy, petite girl, and I get red whenever I want to talk to someone, I couldn't ask for my turn to play with that beautiful, fuzzy cat. After one frustrating day at school of being unable to play with my favorite toy, I did something horrible. It was so easy to hide that toy in my backpack and take it home because everybody was busy doing an activity with the teacher. I left for home completely excited that now I could finally play with my beloved toy. At home, I ignored all my toys and went running to my room ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
