Training Lesson for Gateway At the completion of this lesson the trainee should be able to: Log-in to Gateway Cleo window. Explain what the Gateway is used for. Explain the different areas of the Gateway screen. Add, edit and delete a user to the user list on gateway. Add, edit and delete a computer to the computer list on gateway. Enter and remove permission for an individual.

Antenna AntennaManager all Monitor control(monctrl) @ Wind (wind.gbt.nr Antenna AntennaManager all all --limited --Accelerometer --ActiveSurface --AnalogFilterRack -- Antenna -- AntennaCharacterization -- Archivist -- BCPM -- CCB26_40 By double clicking on one of the letters, the list of last names starting with that letter expands.  From there the user that the operator needs to put in the gateway can be selected by clicking on the name.  That will cause the name to show in the “User” block on the right-hand side of the window. The computer is selected in the same way that the name is.  Once that is selected it shows up in the “Computer” block on the right-hand side of the window. The device is also selected the same way and will show in the “Device” block on the right-hand side of the window, once selected. The Gateway allows the operator to control who can change equipment configurations through the Monitor and Control system.  The user, the computer the user is using and the equipment the user needs control of is entered into the gateway. Gateway Computer Device

Permissions block User/Computer/Device selections To remove a permission, the operator will double click on the piece of equipment to remove, causing it to appear in the User/Computer/Device selections.  Then click on revoke and select OK on the pop-up window. Allow and Revoke buttons  The display of the Permissions block can be sorted by User name or the Device name.  The choice is made by clicking on the diamond next to User or Device. User Computer Device NOTE:  When adding the antenna to the permissions, a specific computer name is needed.  The “all” selection for computer will not work with the antenna.  Also, there will be two pop-up windows when adding the antenna to the permissions.
