Power banks are broadly categorized into based on the type of cells. Power bank devices
use Lithium ion or Lithium polymer battery as their power source. Power banks
consisting of Lithium ion batteries are generally cheaper and limited in mAh capacity,
while Power bank with Lithium polymer batteries have a larger capacity. Lithium ion cells
have high energy density and require low maintenance. Lithium polymer cells have low
energy density and are expensive to manufacture. Lithium-ion battery has relatively low
self-discharged in comparison to Lithium polymer cells.
