front of the room and the chairs facing it are neatly
arranged with sufficient spaces in- between for ease in
moving around. Display shelves for safekeeping of
projects, collections, and outstanding outwork are located
at the sides. Attached to the wall is a bulletin board and in

Teachers must be sensitive to positive and negative
interactions and must immediately undertake an instant
revision or adjustment in the methodology when necessary.
Interactions
Thorndike’s Law of Learning
You can speak a bit about
this person here
Timmy Jimmy
Edward Thorndike (1874-1949)
O Supported the scientific movement
O Thorndike developed the theory of instrumental
conditioning of law of effect.
O He was one of the first to say that individual differences
in cognitive tasks were due to how many stimulus response
patterns a person had rather than a general intellectual
ability.
LAW OF EFFECT LAW OF EXERCISE
Learning is strengthened when
accompanied by a pleasant or satisfying
feeling. Learning is weakened when
associated with an unpleasant feeling.
Learning takes place properly when it
results in satisfaction and the learner
derives pleasure out of it. By Thorndike
(1932)
Things most often repeated are best
remembered. Students do not learn
complex tasks in a singles session.
Thorndike’s Law of Learning
LAW OF READINESS LAW OF PRIMACY
Individuals learn best when they are
physically, mentally and emotionally
ready to learn, and they do not learn
well if they see no reason for learning
Things learned first create a strong
impression. ‘’What is TAUGHT must be
RIGHT the FIRST TIME’’
Thorndike’s Law of Learning
LAW OF RECENCY LAW OF INTENSITY
Things most recently learned are
best remembered.
The more intense the material
taught, the more it is likely
learned.
Thorndike’s Law of Learning
LAW OF FREEDOM
Thing freely learned are best learned.
The greater the freedom enjoyed by
the students in the class, the greater
the intellectual and moral
advancement enjoyed by them.
Thorndike’s Law of Learning
