1. When doing my coursework, I learned to use different types of new
technologies.
- I used a Mac computer to create my front cover, content page and article.
- It was the first time I used a Mac computer therefore I learnt some basics such
as how to use “finder” and how to take a screen shot.
- It was very useful as when I took screenshots it would automatically save as a
jpeg rather then having to paste the shot and then saving it like in a regular
pc.
2. -I found using photoshop quiet challenging as it is was the first time using it but I
used YouTube tutorials to learn and the help of my teacher.
-I used photoshop to create my front cover, content page and article
background.
-I learnt how to use the brush tool, how to use the magic wand tool, how to layer
mask, how to place an image how to remove the background, how to cut
image and how to construct pieces together.
3. - I found InDesign quiet challenging as it was my first time using it however my
teacher helped me and I watched YouTube tutorials to help me.
- I used InDesign to create my double page article.
- I learnt how to place an background, place an image, how to frame and
image, how to create layers, how to insert columns and write on the columns
and how to save the document as an Jpeg.
4. - For my photoshoot, I got to use a DSLR camera which was provided by the
photography department of my college.
- I learnt how to focus the lens, how to control exposure to bring in or
distract light.
- Also, the shutter speed of the camera was very fast so I was able to get
lots of high quality pictures in short amount of time.
5. - I used WordPress to blog about my media studies course work.
- Through using this website, I learnt how to post a blog, edit and update a
blog and add media on blog.
- I also learnt how to embed links such as YouTube idea links and slide share
links in the blog.
6. - I was already very familiar with Microsoft word there I didn’t learn anything
new.
- However, I used Microsoft word to write drafts of my article and to draft my
questionnaires.
- I also used this for creating the tables that I used on question 1.
7. - I was already familiar with Microsoft PowerPoint therefore I didn’t learn any
new skills.
- However, I used Microsoft PowerPoint to create slideshows for my blog, as it
was easy and interactive.
8. - Slideshare played a big part in my blog as I used this to share my presentations.
- I learnt how to upload PowerPoint presentation onto Slideshare.
- I also learnt how to use the embedded link of the slide and upload the slide on
sites such as WordPress.
9. - I used Survey Money to create my feed back questionnaires, music magazine
questionnaires and my college magazine questionnaires.
- I learnt how to create and edit my questionnaires.
- I also learnt how to share the embedded link to my audiences.
- I learnt how to collect and analyse the result of my questionnaires.

To reproduce the background effects on this slide, do the following:
On the Home tab, in the Slides group, click Layout and then click Blank.
Right-click the slide and click Format Background.
In the Format Background dialog box, click Fill in the left pane. In the Fill pane, select Picture or texture fill, and then under Insert from, click File.
In the Insert Picture dialog box, select a picture, and then click Insert.
Also in the Format Background dialog box, in the Fill pane, in the Transparency box, enter 85%.
