5. What I Have Learnt
• Blogger
– I have learnt how to create a blog on Blogger. I have also learnt how to
edit the design and make it look like I want to. I have learnt how to
create a post and enable both pictures, Youtube videos and
PowerPoints in my blog posts.
• Slide Share
– I have learnt how to use Slide Share so that I can enable a PowerPoint
in my blog posts.
• Survey Monkey
– I have learnt how to make a survey on Survey Monkey. I have learnt
how to find the link so that I can send it around to people answering my
survey. I have also learnt how to look at the answers and find the
information I need.
6. What I Have Learnt
• Youtube
– I have learnt how to upload a video to youtube and then to enable this
video to my blog.
• Adobe Bridge
– I did have some knowledge wit Bridge from earlier, but I have
now learnt how to make a contact sheet and how to save it so
that I can upload it to my blog.
7. What I Have Learnt
• Adobe Photoshop
– I have learnt how to edit my photos and
how, where and when to use the different
tools. I did have quite a lot of knowledge
about Photoshop already, but I still have
learnt something new. The pictures I have
included shows how I tried out different
designs along the way. In the first picture
you can see how I have tried out a
different colour scheme and also I have
placed my cover lines in different places
and had them in different fonts. In the
second picture I tried to have a strapline
on the bottom of my page, but I ended up
not having one.
8. What I Have Learnt
• Adobe InDesign
– In InDesign I have learnt how to
make a magazine layout. How to
use the different tools and when to
use them. I know about how to
use different layers and how that’s
different from Photoshop. I did
have a bit of knowledge about
InDesign from earlier, but I still
learnt something new. In the
pictures you can see how I
experimented with how to present
my pictures on my contents page.
9. What I Have Learnt
• Camera
– Both the Nikon D600 and the Nikon D3000 are my cameras so I
knew how to use them. I take all my pictures on manual and
know how to use the right ISO, shutter speed and aperture to
make the pictures look good. The Panasonic DMC-TZ30
though, is not mine. I borrowed it from a friend. I have learnt how
to set the settings right and make the pictures look as I want
them to. I have realized how practical using a digital camera is. It
is cheap, you can take as many pictures as you want and it wont
cost you anything. It is also easy to transfer the pictures to the
computer. Instead of having to develop them and then scan
them, which can take a long time, I only have to plug my camera
to my computer and download them. This makes digital cameras
a great format for this kind of work.
10. What I Have Learnt
• Memory stick/Hard disk
– I started using a memory stick, but it quickly filled up and I
therefore started using a hard disk instead because that has a lot
more available space. My files take up quite a lot of memory so
using a hard disk is a better format for me than using a memory
stick. It is a bit bigger, but it can also hold a lot more of my work.
I have learnt how important it is to always have my work saved
several places do I always have a backup if something goes
wrong.
