The document discusses the various technologies and software used to create a media product, including Photoshop for photo editing, InDesign for laying out articles, and WordPress for blogging progress. Additional tools mentioned are Microsoft PowerPoint and Word for typing work, a Mac and iPad for creating and blogging, and a camera for taking photos. Slideshare is highlighted as a useful website for sharing PowerPoint presentations. Photoshop is identified as the most complex software to learn but also the most used.
1. FROM THE PROCESS OF
CONSTRUCTING YOUR
PRODUCT ?
Here are all the technologies that I have used
while making my product.
2. Photoshop.
One of the first software I used while making my product was
Photoshop.
• Photoshop was one of the most complex software to use, but
probably the one I used the most. As I have used it before it wasn’t
that hard to get a hang of.
• I also had access to YouTube, so I was able to look at tutorials to
improve my skills.
• I used Photoshop mainly for photo editing for my article, front cover
and contents page. The main thing that I learnt from using Photoshop
was that there are a various number of ways to perform one act.
• I really enjoyed using Photoshop, especially after I got really
comfortable with using it.
3. In-design.
• I used in-design for my double page article.
• This software for me was not easy to use, I found getting use to it
much longer as I have no experience in using it.
• It was very useful however as I was able to link It with photoshop and
any editing work do on the photos on photoshop would automatically
be saved to the article on in-design.
• As skill that this software helped me to develop was learning how the
placement of text in an article effects the reader and the effectiveness
of the article.
4. Wordpress.
• Another program that I have used is wordpress. I have used this to
blog all of my progress and construction on my media products.
• This has been really helpful as I am able to share and ask for
feedback using this and post the results as well.
• Worpress has been really easy to use and get use to using. It has
made blogging quick and easy. There are also lots of editing options
for the blogs, after and before you blog them.
• It has provided me with the opportunity to go through old logs and
look at what I have learnt and g back to apply it.
5. Microsft (powerpoint, word)
• I have also used Microsoft occasionally.
• This software is always easy to use and also is very reliable and
useful.
• I used PowerPoint for blogs such as this one where I can put all the
information into a software called ‘Slideshre’ which alows you to share
PowerPoint presentations in an visual concise way.
• I mainly used word for typing a lot of the wok out, pieces like my
article. I types this out on word and then put it into in-desing.
• This is useful as it provides features such as spell check and other
text options.
6. Mac/ipad/camera
• I used both a mac and an ipad
• For creating my media product and creating my blogs I used a mac.
• I mostly used the ipad for blogging the work.
• I have used both of these any times before so using them was not
hard. I didn’t have to get use to these, so I didn’t have to spend time
on learning how to use them.
• I also used a camera. I used the camera for taking photos that I used
in my magazine cover.
• This was very easy to use as I used my own camera and knew how it
worked, this also meant that I was able to play around with the
settings to get the best possible photos.
7. Slideshare.
• Slideshare is a website that you can download PowerPoint on to and then
share them.
• It provides you with a way of easily displaying work on a PowerPoint that is
easily accessible to whoever you share it with.
• It is very quick and easy to use.
• I am using it for this PowerPoint. Using this makes it very long pieces of text
easy to read and also visual. This is very important for my blog.
8. Conclusion.
• Photoshop is the software I used the most and therefore I
learnt and developed the most I this software.
• I also learnt about the wide variety of websites, like
slideshare and wordpress, that are out there.
• I have also developed analytical skills while using
programs like wordpress and slideshare.
