The youngest of three siblings, Austin Gibson
grew up in a small outside of Cartersville,
Georgia, then at age 10 moved to Montevallo,
Alabama. Both of his parents grew up near
Chicago, Illinois which is why he is passionate
about the Cubs and Bears and dreams of
being a reporter or announcer for either
team. After almost 10 years removed from
high school, Austin enrolled at Full Sail Dan
Patrick School of Sportscasting focusing on
developing reporting and interviewing skills.

gradually slipping over the past decade? Well, what I
do is produce personal stories about the athletes and
staff that go above and beyond other stories so you remember. My essential
skills of communication has helped to increase sales at a local business by 20%
due to my direct interaction with consumers. of my classmates in class Intro to
Sportscasting said, “that I pick the elements of a story well, and capture the best
