The target audience for the media product is young adults aged 17-18 who are still in education. Specifically, the audience includes teenagers and college students of both sexes interested in pop/rock music. Examples of the target audience provided are 17-year old Jane who attends college and works part-time, and 18-year old John who is in his last year of college. Both enjoy spending time with friends and family, listening to music, and going to concerts.

to be teenagers, more
young adults who were

and diverse audience,

my social groups for
my target audience
which were
‘Hipsters’, ‘Rockers’
and ‘All - round
general’.
 I also established
the ethnicity/race
and gender etc
when creating the
magazine.

 Target Audience profiles (unfortunately I couldn’t
gain access to the people’s pictures I did it on)
Jane – 17 years old
 Occupation – she has just started college, she has a
part time job and works on Friday because it fits with
her college timetable
 Lifestyle and hobbies: when she has time she goes
out with her friends, spends time with her family,
likes to watch films and goes to the cinema
sometimes.
 Favourite artists: Norah, Lady Gaga and Maroon 5

 Target Audience profiles (unfortunately I couldn’t

John – 18 years old
 Occupation – In his last year of college, he’s
currently unemployed.
 Lifestyle and hobbies: spends a lot of time with
family and friends, he loves to listen to his music, he
reads comics and likes his TV.
 Favourite artists: Mick Jagger, Nirvana and Radio
head
