2. 1. Canteen
This is a place where students
congregate before college begins,
break and lunchtime. This means
there will nearly always be an
abundance of teenagers here, and
this is a high proportion of our
target audience. Vox pops and
background footage will be shot
here. By using somewhere a lot of
students can relate with, this means
they are more likely to watch the
documentary and relate to the
participants.
3. 2. Corridor and staircase
This is also a place that is always full of
students and teachers at busy times. This
will be useful for background footage, as
we simply need to set up a tripod and
video students going about their normal
business.
4. 3. SSFC Sign
We will introduce our
documentary with the
Solihull Sixth Form College
sign. It will be an
establishing shot and will
set the scene for the
documentary. I think its
important as the students
who attend fit within our
target audience.
5. 4. Touchwood
We will also be doing vox pops
here as it is full of young people
shopping and going to and from
college. It will also be useful for
background footage and
speaking to experts (tattoo
parlour).
Solihull is a pleasant area with
an attractive scenery. This gives
off a good representation and
counteracts the negative
conntations associated with
tattoos and piercings (rough,
dodgy etc..)
6. 5. Lecture hall
We can shoot
background footage
of in here using
pupils. This will not
have much
significance but if we
need to fill gaps
whilst we are doing
statistics and facts.
