2. The study room
In the study room we plan to
pan around the room to show
some fly-on-the wall footage of
students revising for their
exams. This is to show some of
the students who are working
hard to prepare for their exams
as our target audience have
said that they want to see that.
3. The common room
Since our documentary is focusing
on life in sixth form we have
decided to show scenes in the
common room of some of the
students who are socialising as well
as revising. We will focus on one
group of friends in the corner of the
common room.
4. Classroom
We want to use a generic looking
classroom so that the target
audience can easily relate to the
situation. We will be using fly on
the wall footage of the student
getting one on one mentoring
session with her teacher.
5. Interview area
For our interview area we will be
using one of the breakout areas
outside the classrooms this is
because it is a well lit area that has a
display board behind it, this
emphasizes the theme of school as
the typical display board is a signifier
of a school environment.
6. Other places
Corridors
There will be quick
shots of the corridors
just to establish the
setting in the
introduction.
Outside the school/
Playground
This will be an
establishing shot of
the school also shown
in the introduction
7. Costume
We will have our cast dressed in
smart office style clothing, both
students and teachers. This is
because want our students to be
in ‘typical’ sixth form clothes in
order to make the situations
seen in the documentary more
realistic and relatable.
9. Mr Ubbi We have chosen this
teacher as he is someone
who is young and maybe
able to be more relatable
for the target audience. He
is someone that young
teachers will be able to
identify with him. He also is
a good representation of
modern schools, as he does
not fit the stereotype of
the ‘typical’ teacher.
10. The boys
We have chosen
these boys because
they are very
entertaining, and we
think that the
dynamic between
these two boys is
very important for
the interviews.
11. The Girls
We have picked our group
of girls because they
represent a typical group of
teenage girls, we thought it
maybe useful to include a
stereotypical group of
teenager as it is
conventional of the genre.
