1. Links between the different parts of
the MNE magazine (front cover,
contents page and double page
spread).
2. Colour scheme
The colours of all three sections remand
the same/ very similar. The colours
red white and black keep cropping
up as the masthead (MNE featured
the three colours- red being the
main colour, which is also the most
distinctive in the double page
spread. The link with the colour
scheme helps to show
familiarization and makes the
audience become used to the
regular colour scheme. The use of
red stands out from most colours
and readers are more drawn into
the colour red than they would be
for a colour less bright and bold.
3. Model
The model (Dizzee Rascal) features
somewhere on these three sections
of the magazine. Due to him being on
the front cover, it would normally be
expected to also have a double page
spread based on him. The contents
page just simply talks about where in
the magazine the double page spread
can be found. A small article is on the
contents page which is an over look/
article on ‘touring special’- this can
also link into the model as he is an
artist who tours.
4. Layout
Although it is hard to find a similarity
with the front cover and the
other two, the contents page and
the double page spread share
their layout structure. They both
are laid out into different
columns By doing this, aids the
overall intention of readers
finding it easier to read the
contents and text on the actual
page itself. Furthermore, readers
can become comfortable with
the MNE layout structure and
know what to expect when
reading the magazine.
