Research Task 2d Similarities and Differences: NME
Both the frontcover and the contents page contain the masthead of the
magazine NME. This allows the reader to recognisethey are part of the same
branding.
The front cover and the double page spread both feature a main image of the
artist DizzeeRascal. This shows that the main image on the cover was linking to
an article further within the magazine.
The contents page and the double page spread both havea drop cap which
signifies the firstletter of the article. This makes the reader curious and
wanting to know whatthe restof the word is, leading onto the sentence and
perhaps the rest of the article.
All three components (frontcover, contents page and double page) contain a
bright typography. This is used mainly to attract the audience attention to the
main part of the text and divert attention away fromthe smaller parts
Throughoutall three components, the colour schemeis red, black and white.
This colour scheme is also shown through DizzeeRascal’s clothing.
