2. History of RnB genre.
• Rhythm and Blues is abbreviated as R&B. it
originated in the 1940’s and was popular
predominantly among African Americans. The term
‘Rhythm and blues’ has changed over time, from
blues records, to rock and roll, soul and gospel and is
now developing into ‘contemporary R&B’ which
includes soul, funk, hip hop and dance.
• Early R&B vocalists were;
• Mariah Carey
• Destiny's child
• Whitney Houston

5. Front cover artists
• I think Mariah Carey would be effective on the
front cover of my magazine as;
• She is an old classic that all ages can relate to
• Popular by many
• Very feminine and helps to convey the
femininity the magazine.
7. RnB location/mise en scene
This is the sort of location I
will not be including as it
presents the lower class and
less modern look of night
clubs.
I will use this representation of
night clubs to present the RnB
location as its higher class and
more up to date. I’ve used
nightclubs to presents RnB as most
of the lyrics are about money, sex
and alcohol.
