2. To create the front
cover I used a
range of tools that
were provided to
me by Photoshop.
I made the cover
lines by creating a
text box adding the
relevant text then
changed the font to
the correct
style, size and
colour. I then added
a stroke effect to
give the text an
outline and a drop
shadow to give it a
3D look.
I cut out the main image
by using the lasso tool
so that I was able to
create a custom
background by simply
adding a plain black
rectangle using the
shape tool and a red
glow using the brush tool
and changing the
opacity.
To create the banner at
the bottom I used the
shape tool and I added
the barcode by inserting
the image from my
personal file
3. I cut out the image
slightly differently
than I did on the
front cover as I used
the magic wand tool
to remover the main
parts and then went
round edges with
the eraser tool.
The text was
created the exact
same way as on the
front cover so that it
will keep in with the
house style
To create the
background I did the
same as I did on the
front cover by simply
adding a plain black
rectangle using the
shape tool and a red
glow using the brush
tool and changing the
opacity.
I created the
rectangles by using
the shape tool, the
same as the front
cover
4. To create the background all I did was insert the image into InDesign and then
change the size of the image to fit size of the double page spread.
creating a text box adding
the relevant text then
changed the font to the
correct style, size and
colour. I then added a
stroke effect to give the
text an outline and a drop
shadow to give it a 3D
look and stand out from
the background
To create the columns I selected a number (2) from the
drop down menu from the tool bar at the top of the
page.
5. Slide share, scribd and prezzie are all
programs that allow me to upload information
to my blog in a variety of ways making it more
creative and interesting.
