From Event to Action: Accelerate Your Decision Making with Real-Time Automation
Media institutions
1. What kind of media institution might distribute
your media product and why?
My media product may be distributed by
companies relating to magazines or even
record labels. Labels such as Def Jam, or
Universal, as my magazine is particularly
aimed at females. It may even be
advertised as a sponsor of a particular
programme, or have a personal advert.
The advert would be mainly advertised in
the morning, or the afternoon, as young
females would be watching the TV
before they went to work/school, and
once they arrived home and also whilst
watching TV programmes early in the
evening if they are in the older age
range of my target audience.
2. My magazine would be distributed by shops also, from big
superstores and music stores, to newsagents. I think that
if it was to be distributed to the TV and to be advertised, it
would sponsor programmes such as ‘Friends’ or
programmes that are set on E4, or MTV. I have chosen this
particular range of programmes and TV Channels as they
have a young audience, both male and female but the
majority of the audience would be female.
All of these programmes and channels
which distribute these programmes are
all similar to my target audience.
Therefore to advertise my magazine
within these industries would fit in well
and match my whole frame of work.
