1. When designing my digipak and advert, I used the software Adobe
Photoshop which enable me to access a wide range of effects and tools that
enabled me to make my digipak and advert have synergy with my music
video. I was able to make my products more professional looking and also
improve the images to a higher standard by using the tools and effects.
I used the black and white tool in order to create synergy between the
digipak and advert poster with the music video, I used the different colour
adjusts in order to make certain areas of the image standard out more
clearly in black and white. I also used exposure, offset and gamma tools on
my digipak and advertisement poster in order darken and highlight certain
areas of the image in order to make them standout against the rest of the
image. This tool also helped to make the text featured on the products easy
to read while still having the images in focus as well.
2. Additionally when designing my final digipak, firstly I opened the chosen
images I wanted to present on my final products in a separate photo shop
document and by doing this I was able to edit them individually before
applying them to my final products. I was also able to use the effect of
sharpening when I was editing one of my final digipak images. The
sharpening tool enabled me to make the images used look more professional
and in keeping with genre and style of music. This therefore resulted in the
final products appear like a more sophisticated and professional image.
