3. Reader Profile;
Tom is 20, and from Leeds, in his second year of university studying a media
course. Any free time he gets is spent out in his local cities’ nightclubs or pubs
socialising with his friends, or at local gigs or festivals seeing his favourite acts.
He doesn’t have a favourite genre, although his favourite band is the Stone
Roses because that’s what he was brought up on and it reminds him of his
childhood. He likes a lot of junk food and spends a lot of money on clothes to
keep up with fashion. Tom is up to date with social media and has all
platforms including snapchat, facebook and tumblr, he uses these to keep in
touch with his friends and find out about local gigs and club nights. He prefers
to stream music as it costs less and is the modern way of listening to music.
4. Style sheet
I’m going to use these for
colours for my colour scheme
of my magazine because black
and white are typical. The red
and yellow stand out very well
against black and white.
I’m going to use this
font for my title
because it is easy to
read, it will stand out
and is unisex to show
that the magazine is
for both sexes.
This font will be used
for the coverlines
because it is sort of
the same as the title
font which will reflect
a uniform style.

I will use this font
because it is easy to
read, fits with the
style of the other two
and is recognised as a
popular font.

7. Planned shots;
I’m going to use a
medium close up of
the lead singer of the
band that is the main
feature and therefore
also in the dps. He
will be wearing red
and black to match
the colour scheme of
the magazine. It will
be artificially lighted
as it will be taken in a
studio.
8. Planned shots;
I plan to use a wide shot for the double page
spread with an interesting background to
act as my background for the article, with
the same lead singer as on the front, he will
be wearing the same outfit as on the cover
page.
9. I want to use lots of different studio shots in
different places with different bands for my
contents page to add interest.
