2. The Questionnaire
● The questionnaire that I made was answered by 20
people, of differing genders, ages and with different
interests to gain a general view on what a local
newspaper should contain.
● The answers that I gained helped me to understand
what type of target audience I should aim towards, and
what style my newspaper should take on – for
example, features and layouts.
● I was able to plan and construct my newspaper around
what the audience questionnaire results had
highlighted – although some of my ideas did change
through creation.
● Although I did take a lot from the questionnaire results,
I also made sure that I didn't focus on it too readily –
as some things needed more research.
3. Social Media
● The work that I have created is available on social
media sites, such as Prezi, Flickr and Slide Share,
which means that they are available for feedback.
● I have not yet received any feedback from any of
these sites, however because they are open to the
public I hope to receive some soon.
● However, I did have feedback from other sources,
such as friends and family who told me things like 'The
image could be more in focus' in reference to my first
pub picture, and 'There needs to be more adverts on
the website' – which is something I listened to and
changed.
4. Focus Group
● Within the class I gained feedback on my
projects. My first billboard design was too plain,
as the writing wasn't structured in different sizes
or places, and so I was able to improve this
through the constructive criticism that they
gave.
● It was also suggested to include more images
in my newspaper and billboard, but I made the
executive decision and decided to leave this
suggestion – as I didn't want too many images
that would change my newspaper into a more
'Tabloid' style newspaper.
