2. Research
• My research for my magazine poster and double page spread went well, I
had researched how sporting magazines presented boxing, I also found
some good design ideas for my front cover.
• I researched different boxers that are the most popular this year, I decided
to choose Deontay Wilder to be the front face on my cover because he
had delivered one of the most devastating knockouts I have seen in 2019. I
researched and watched interviews from boxers which helped me with my
articles in my double page spread.
• A disadvantage in my research was that I had too much to fit in
one double page spread, I had researched at least 5 different boxers but
only managed to include 2 (Anthony Joshua + Andy Ruiz)

3. Planning
• My planning for my magazine front cover and my
double page spread went to plan, I had to
plan how I was going to present my front cover, I
decided to use a boxer in the centre of my cover
with a boxing ring as its background, I used a
concrete style font with a bloody effect across it.
• I also had to plan how I was going to make my
double spreadsheet, I looked at different
magazines I had at home and also that were
online to find a style I liked and could take
inspiration from.

4. Time Management
• My time management in this project went really well, I planned how long
it would take to do each PowerPoint and the magazine cover and the
double page spread itself.
• The PowerPoints which included my planning and research took me
relatively quick, I did try and spend as long as possible on my research
and planning to get as much as I could.
• My magazine cover took me a full week to create, this was all I needed, my
magazine double spreadsheet however took an extra week because I was
still struggling to find information about boxers that I wanted to include.
Even though it took an extra week to complete I still feel like I didn’t spend
too long on this project.

5. Technical Qualities
• the technical qualities in my magazine cover are what I used to make it, to
create this poster I used photoshop, the techniques in photoshop that I
used are.
• Cutting around the photos of my boxers to make them fit in a new
background
• Masking to place another image ontop of the other, I used the masking
technique to place a blood effect over my texts.

6. Aesthetic Qualities
• My Aesthetic qualities for my magazine cover and double page spread are
how I made it look as good as I wanted it to.

7. Audience Appeal
This project will appeal to my target audience because this poster was made
to satisfy boxing fans and people who enjoy sport personalities. This will also
appeal to my audience because it includes information from famous and
popular boxers' interviews.
This magazine cover and double page spread will also appeal to my target
audience because it looks like a professionally well-made magazine. It
includes details about the boxer's fights, attractive visual effects and also
photos of popular boxers.
