3. My music magazine uses the codes and conventions of a
real media products.
As all magazines no matter the genre, all stick to the same
codes and conventions they all have the image and colour
scheme and name that all fit the genre, contents and
target audience.
4. Masthead: I have placed the masthead in on top of my models head to show the importance of my masthead because its is the
main logo that will attract customers and it’s the unique and noticeable brand that will make my magazine sell. The words on my
masthead “live in the music” is extremely important because it represents what I want people to feel when they see my magazine. I
have tried to make my masthead look professional and make it stand out by using bold black letters on the font popular std which has
a very slick nice look to it. This has codes and conventions of a magazine because most magazines have there masthead at the top right
and or at the middle like mine.
The main image is a very extravagant
pose almost like a god pose which also
connects with the main cover line which
is “ RAP GOD” the picture is placed right
in the middle of the page which makes it
stand out. its a ¾ shot and a medium
close up which makes the magazine look
professional. I got the idea of the picture
from Eminem rap god cover.

5. Contents pageThe title contents has
similarities to real media
magazines as they have the
same title. However mine is a
unique font of thick black letters
that contrast the grey
background and makes it stand
out. The 4 main colours in the
magazine are black white red
and grey this are the continuous
colour scheme in my magazine.

There are five main images, placed across the page but still in order within the columns which sticks to the
codes and conventions of the magazine to emphasis the genre of the magazine. This are all good quality images
and colourful which make the page stand out.

I have challenged the conventions
and codes by doing this because I
did not put my page numbers at the
bottom of my page I put them ate
the top which is not like usual
magazines.
On every magazine there
are pictures these are
new pictures not seen in
any other magazine.
These are images that link
with the stories in the
magazine page numbers
are used to show this and
anchor them.

gives the reader an idea about what the article is
going to be about which is that Alex Rasaq a young
rapper tells us is story and life. This will attract the
reader and engage there attention.
