Family: Asclepidaceae
• Geographical Source: It is found thought in Asia.

3. • MORPHOLOGY:
• Leaves are opposite, usually ellip[tic or ovate, flowers small, yellow,
in umballate cymes, follicle terwte, lanceolate, up to 7=8 cm in height.
• CHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS:
• Leaves contain albumin, organic acid, parabin, hentriacontane,
pentatriacontane, alpha & beta Chlorophyllus, phytin, resin, taartric
Acid, formic Acid, butyric Acid, inositol, gymnemic Acid.
• USES:
• Remedy for Diabetes
• Weight loss. Early research suggests that taking a specific combination
of gymnema extract, hydroxycitric acid, and niacin-bound chromium
by mouth for 8 weeks might reduce body weight in people who are
overweight or obese.
• Stimulating digestion, laxative, diuretic, stomachic.
• Stimulate heart & circulatory system.
• Used in cough, biliousness & sore eyes.
