5. Short description of lesson
In this lesson, students apply what they’ve learned into completing all four steps of the
Four Level Analysis. After they’ve completed the assignment, they will take the
Grammar Final Exam, which is designed to test their knowledge of grammar concepts
and application.

7.LA.2.2.4. The student will be able to follow multi-step written directions.

7.LA.3.3.4. The student will be able to apply a variety of sentence structures to improve
sentence fluency and enhance writing style.
5.4. Acquire Skills for Using Conventions
7.LA.5.4.2. The student will be able to use commas, including in appositives. Use
parentheses and semicolon in writing. (735.02.a)
5.3. Acquire Skills for Sentence Structure
7.LA.5.3.2. The student will be able to use correctly future verb tenses, adjectives,

2. 7. Instructional Objectives:
a. Apply grammar skills and concepts in completing all four stages of the Four Level
Analysis independently
b. Demonstrate grammatical skills and application by scoring a 70% or higher on
the Grammar Final Exam.
8. Instructional Procedures
a. Students will begin the Lesson by completing the Four Level Analysis Assignment
b. Students will complete the Grammar Final Exam
c. Students need to pass the Grammar Final Exam with a score of 70% or higher in
order to be deemed proficient in grammar concepts and application
9. Adaptations for special learners:
Learners with special needs will be privy to audio notes, clarification on assignments,
additional time if needed, and/or online tutorials.
10. Supplemental Activities:
Online tutorials if needed, or instructional videos on TeacherTube.
11. Assessment/Evaluation:
Students will be assessed both informally and formally in Lesson 5. Informal assessment
data will come from the assignment submission. Students need to score a 70% or higher
on the Four Level Analysis assignment take the Grammar Final Exam. Formal assessment
will be given with the Grammar Final Exam. Students need to achieve a score of 70% or
higher in order to be deemed proficient in grammar concepts and application. Students
are allowed to take the final exam as many times as they feel necessary to achieve the
score they want. Feedback will be provided to students via correspondence from
teacher to student and grade reports on our class Moodle page.
12. Learner Products:
Students will submit two worksheet based assignments that allows them additional
practice on examining sentences to determine their type. Students will also complete
the fourth and final step of the Four Level Analysis.
