Unit 7 Enterprise Learning Aim A - Research
1. What research will you need to do before finalising the brief for the
marketing campaign?
I will have to look at some other video marketing that’s been done for Grease
and I will have to ask people in the target audience what they would pay attention
to in video marketing and what would make them want to go and see the show.
2. Why are you undertaking this research?
So I can make a better piece of video marketing that will be very clearly about
Grease and will clearly be something the target audience for the show will like
and want to watch.
3. Who should you involve in this research, e.g. members of the target
audience?
I will do my research around school using members of the students and staff
who are the target audience for the show.
4. What research do you need to undertake to help you generate ideas for a
new product (e.g. market research into the popularity of existing products or
to identify potential gaps in the market )?
I have already done some reaserch into existing marketing campaigns and I wll
try to make sure that I use what I learned in that work, especially that it’s very
important to be clear about what your product that you’re marketing is, what
genre it is and who it is for.
5. Where will the research take place and what sources are available to you?
I’ll do my research around school with students who are the target audience for
the show.
6. What different forms will your research take?
I’ll make a questionnaire which I will use and I’ll use the internet to find other
examples of real marketing for productions of Grease. I’ve already done research
into other successful and unsuccessful campaigns.
