2. Audiences For Teen Movies.
The typical target audience for teen movies are teenagers
and young adults. As the plot is based on special interest of
teenagers e.g. coming of age, rebelling or some type of
conflict at school or with parents. Depending on the genre
it may be aimed at females or males or even both.
However now a days teen movies have a much wider
audience. Depending on the type of genre anyone can
watch it.

The sub-genre that my group chose was Thriller . The target
audiences for thriller movies are people from the ages of 17-25
years old. However thrillers usually appeal to teenager the most.
They like the shock factor and being on the edge of the seat
waiting to be scared. Generally it is males that enjoy thrillers
more, although females do enjoy the mystery and action of
thrillers as well.

5. Thriller target audiences
Taken is the movie that gave us inspiration on a storyline.
Taken is a thriller about a teenage girl that gets kidnapped and
her father must save her. The target audience for taken is
targeted at people who are at the age of 15 and above. This
movie is aimed at both males and females.
Se7en’s title sequence gave us an idea of what type of title
sequence that we wanted to do. The target audience for se7en
is 18+ like it is for most thrillers. It is mainly aimed at males.

6. USP- Our film’s target audience
Our unique selling point for our film is that it is a decretive title
sequence not a narrative. For teen dramas this is very rare so we
thought we would be different. This makes our film attract the
type of target audience that we have planned to have. Our target
audience is from the ages of 15 plus. We believe we will attract
females rather than males because it is the story of a teenage girl.
However as we have chose to do a decretive this makes our
movie much scarier and that could be what attracts males to
watch our film. Even though it is a teen drama we believe it will
attract even the older generation
