2. Brand Identity - Documentary and Radio
Trailer
â– Brand identity is important for any media text as it helps with advertising all products
together. We saw that the best student products previously linked there main product
and ancillary texts well so all of there products linked together. To link our
documentary and radio trailer we used clips of interviews and vox pops in both which
showed they were the same brand. This made it clear to the audience and another
thing we did was to have the on screen presenter do some voice overs for the radio
trailer to make the audience familiar with the presenter. One way in which the
documentary and radio trailer would be linked commonly is through the background
music, however we found the background music for the documentary and radio trailer
did not link well so we decided against it but we still believe we have strong brand
identity between these three products.

4. Brand Identity - Documentary andTV
Listings Magazine
â– I believe it was easier to link the documentary and TV listings magazine since we were
able to do it visually with pictures taken straight from the documentary which is what
we did. This meant the products linked and potential viewers could understand what
to expect. We also used grab quotes that were quotes that came straight from the
documentary. Another thing we did to link these products was to use the same colour
of background in the TV listings magazine as we used for the titles for the professional
interviews in our documentary. This mint green colour signifies the colour commonly
associated with surgeries and doctors.

6. Brand Identity – RadioTrailer andTV
Listings Magazine
â– The radio trailer and TV listings magazine were a lot more difficult to link together
since they were our ancillary products. However, they both still shared features such as
sound bites/pictures from the documentary and the main point is that they had the
date, time and channel of which the documentary would be on meaning they would
inform the audience of where to find the documentary.
