2. ARE YOU HAPPY WITH YOUR BODY IMAGE?
AND WHY?
Our questionnaire was answered by 8
females and 7 males, this correlates with the
answers to âAre you happy with your body
image?â being fairly equal. As it is
stereotyped that women are more likely to
feel insecure than men. Some of the reasons
why people are happy with their bodies is
that the âinterior is more importantâ and that
they âdonât worry about what people thinkâ.
This represents the more confident people
within our target audience demographics.
Some of the reasons why people arenât
happy with their bodies are that they have
âmany insecuritiesâ; they âdislike some
featuresâ and want to âChange to fit in with
social expectationsâ. These answers

HOW OLD ARE YOU?
16-19 20-23 24-27 28-31 32+
The majority of people who answered
our questionnaire were aged between
16 and 19 which is our main target
audience as we want to help young
people considering plastic surgery
decide. 27% of the people who
answered were 20 to 23 years old; this
also helps our research as young
adults are also a large percentage of
people considering plastic surgery. In
asking our age range these crucial
questions it will help us structure our
documentary.
4. ARE YOU MALE OR FEMALE?

ARE YOU MALE OR
FEMALE?
Male Female
Our main audience is young females so
that is why we asked more women than
men. However we want to make an
example on how each gender differs on the
views of plastic surgery explaining why we
have asked almost as many males. In
getting the results from both men and
women we can make a good comparison of
how the answers are different.
5. WOULD YOU CONSIDER PLASTIC SURGERY?
AND WHY?
The majority of our audience has said
they would not consider plastic surgery
with 12 people saying no and just 3
saying yes. With people saying that they
are more self confident and that it is
expensive and could have complications.
This could show that people may have not
considered it because as a younger
person it doesnât seem possible. Reasons
people said yes was that it will boost their
confidence and improve some
imperfections. This is the audience we
want to target our documentary towards
to help them decide.

6. DOES SOCIAL MEDIA AFFECT YOUR OPINIONS
ON PLASTIC SURGERY?
This shows that social media does effect
peoples opinion on plastic surgery making
it a valid point to bring up in or
documentary. This is due to the different
people being influenced by famous people
on places like Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat
etc. Especially more insecure people often
want to look like famous people.

7. IN WHAT WAY DO YOUR FAMOUS IDOLS
INFLUENCE YOU?
When answering this question the majority of the answers were how
famous idols look like and how they dress not how they act. This
shows the importance of appearance in the media as peoples
answers consists of âadvertise plastic surgeryâ; âhow they dressâ and
âmajority of celebrities have plastic surgery making me want it
moreâ. This shows that people generally think that the more perfect
you are perceived the easier it is to become famous. This is not
reality or truth and that is what we plan on portraying for our
documentary to help that younger female audience understand.
8. DO YOU FEEL A LOT OF PRESSURE TALKING
ABOUT YOUR BODY IMAGE? AND WHY?
This is a more balanced result with 6
people saying yes and 9 saying no.
Reasons for saying yes were like ânot
comfortableâ and âthere is
expectationsâ but the most interesting
answer was âpeople assume men are
secureâ. This strengthens the fact that
itâs not just teenage girls that are
insecure and want plastic surgery that
men also consider it meaning we
should also cater for men as well as
women in this documentary.

documentary:
This is the list of what the people who
answered our questionnaire expect to see

opinions on how much plastic surgery costs showing that
people have both positive and negative views of plastic
surgery.
