CHANGE OF MAJORS – STUDENTS WHO CHANGE THEIR
MAJOR WITHOUT GRADUATINGFROM THEIR CURRENT
MAJOR WILL BE CHARGED A $10 FEE PER CHANGE.
CHANGE OF MAJOR ARE PROCESSED ELECTRONICALLY
STARTING WITH THE COUNSELS IN THE HARTLINE
BUILDING ROOM161, FINANCIAL AID, VA (ONLY FOR VA
STUDENTS), THE CASHIER (FOR THOSE STUDENTS THAT
NEED TO PAY) AND THE REISTRAR’SOFFICE FOR
COMPLETION.
3. DUAL MAJOR – STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO BE IN A
DUAL MAJOR FOR ONE SEMESTER. TO REQUEST A DUAL
MAJOR STUDNTS REPORT TO THE ACADEMIC
ADVISEMENT CENTER (AAC) TO MAKE SURE THE QUALIFY
AND TO START THE PROCESS. ONCE PROCESS IS
STARTED STUDENTS TAKE THE FORM TO FINANCIAL AID
AND THEN TO THE REGISTRAR’SOFFICE FOR
COMPLETION. IT IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITYTO
CHANGE THEIR MAJOR FROM DUAL TO SINGLE.

LOGGING ON TO CTC HOME PAGE AND ASSESSING THE

4. The term “directory information” is used for the portion
of the educational record that, if disclosed, would not
generally be considered harmful or an invasion of
privacy. Directory information may include the student’s
name, address, telephone number, date and place of
birth, honors and awards, and dates of attendance
EXEMPTION EXAM REQUEST MAY BE OBTAINED IN THE
REGISTRAR’SOFFICE. STUDENTS WISHING TO EXEMPT A
COURSE OBTAINTHE FORM FROM THE REGISTRAR’S
OFFICE AND TAKE THAT FORM TO THE CASHIER OFFICE
AND PAY THE FEE WHICH IS 25% OF THE TUITION FOR
THAT COURSE. FORM IS THAN TAKEN TO THE
DEPARTMENTUNDER THE REQUESTED COURSE TO SET
UP AN APPOINTMENTTO TAKE THE EXAM. STUDENTS
MUST SCORE AT LEAST A 70 % TO RECEIVE CREDIT.
