2. DSLR Camera
DSLR camera and tripod. I used a
DSLR to shoot odd scenes in my
opening sequence. I placed it on
a tripod to steady the shot.
Using a DSLR camera was a good
idea as it made the picture top
quality. Being able to place it on
a tripod was an advantage as it
made the shot steady and
focused. Using the DSLR camera
and tripod made the picture
look high quality and very
professional which is what I
wanted.
3. Sony Camcorder
I used a Sony Camcorder for the
majority of my film. The
camcorder was better than
the DSLR to record the
opening sequence. It was
more focused and the quality
made my opening look
professional. A limitation of
using the camcorder was that
it was balancing on my
shoulder therefore for some
shots were slightly wobbly but
not so much that it affected
my shots.
4. Microphone
I placed a microphone
on the top of the DSLR
camera to catch the
sound and dialogue of
the characters.
Without the
microphone, the
sound would of come
out fuzzy and weak
lowering the overall
quality of my opening
sequence.
5. Reflector
I used a reflector to make certain
shots brighter. I used mostly the
lighting from the bedroom but
in certain areas of the room
(Mirror extract), the lighting was
dim and it effected the quality
of the shot. The characters facial
expressions were hard to pick
up and low key lighting is not a
convention for a light heart
comedy. So,by using the
reflector and placing it in the
right angles, it brightened up
the whole shot improving the
quality and sticking to the
convention of high key lighting.
