Basis for Employment
• Many apprenticeships within the media are
asking for level 3 BTEC diplomas in Media.
• Many of these apprenticeships require
knowledge of industry standard editing
equipment.
• Local institutions such as Futureworks
recognise the qualification.
• In the north west there are currently over 500
apprenticeships available in creative media
industries.

As this course equates to one A-level, this will allow you to
choose up to three other subjects along side.

Task: News Reader
As part of the course, you will need to be familiar with Chroma Key and editing
technologies.
We need four volunteers to shoot a piece to camera from television news.
You will then use the Macs and editing software to super-impose a newsroom
in to the background.
