EXPERIENCE
POWER GUIDANCE – USA
2009-present
Project Engineer- Online Consultant
• Perform Engineering Consultations to ITECHO and Design the Operational Single Line Diagram and drawings of
(500 KV,138 KV, 132 KV, 33 KV, 11KV)
• Export Switchgear and Transformer spare parts (current transformers ,ammeters, contactors ,control relays AC &
DC, Timers)
• Prepare and provide guidance in preparing and developing the engineering deliverables for electric substation
projects- including the development of one & three line diagrams; schematics and wiring diagrams; relay settings and
calculations; control and relaying panel layouts and specifications; control and relaying panel and equipment wiring
diagrams.
• Develop wiring diagrams and cable / conduit tables depending on schematics from GE & SEMIENS of the
(incoming cct, outgoing cct, battery panel, Alarm cct, Trip cct, DC cct and etc...)
• Complete complex drawing packages with minimal/no supervision from sketches provided by others
2. ITECHO - JORDAN
2007-2009
Project Engineer
Developed standard commissioning and testing practices for high voltage equipment and associated protective relays
and controls equipment.
Developed and issued a Design Build contract for furnishing, installing and testing a two (2) unequal segment, fixed
series capacitor bank, Segment 1- rated 2000A/ 98.16 MVAR/8.18 ohm and Segment 2 -
2000A/196.32 MVAR/16.36 ohm. SF6 gas circuit breakers were used for switching.
Supervised on Hydroelectric Power Plant 230 kV - 13.8 kV Switchyard. Directed and performed the layout, design,
material specification, and preparation of equipment physical package, interconnection schematics
and wiring diagrams for the installation of four SF6 gas circuit breakers configured in a four-breaker ring bus
arrangement. Two new 50 MVA GSU transformers were installed. SEL microprocessor relays were utilized for
transformer, line, and switchyard bus protection.
• Performed conceptual layout, detailed design, major equipment procurement, bidding and construction engineering
for this 230/115kV substation constructed on a fast track schedule to meet oil pipeline pumping station loads.
• Supervised on installing 161 kV Substation , New Breaker and a Half and adding 160 MVAR Capacitor Bank .The
initial development of this yard consisted of re-terminating the 161 kV line in a three breaker ring-bus fashion, which
included a connection to the existing 161/69 kV transformer and the addition of two 161 kV, 30 MVAR
fuselessshunt capacitor banks. The project consisted of the addition of a new 161 kV, 60 MVAR fuseless shunt
capacitor bank and SF6 gas circuit breaker. Both substations required detailed material selection, ordering, tracking
and expediting.
• Replaced 138kV, 50MVA Transformer and 138kV , 132C Breakers in addition to develop Elementary Diagrams for
the 220/66kV Transformer Bank Protections, LBFB Protection for new and existing 220kV and 66kV Circuit
Breakers, 220kV Line Protection upgrades, 220kV and 66kV new Bus Differential Protection and new Under-
Frequency Load Shedding Scheme using GE and SEL relays.
• Managed a project to connect 1500kVA, 34.5kV-500V Dry-type traction power rectifier transformer, 600V DC
switchgear, and 600V AC/DC, 2000W, 72 diode rectifier.
• Performed commissioning and start-up engineering for inside plant construction projects in the Delivery Project and
Construction Management Organization (P&CM)
