in a non-verbal manner
Nonverbal communication is an important part of
communication. When communicating or
interviewing, the interviewer does not only focus on
the way the other person is talking but also his
gestures and body language.
Facial expressions, gestures, tone, eye contact, body
language, posture are the ways of communicating
non-verbally. Non-verbal communication is equally
important as verbal communication.
3. Facial expressions
Human face can communicate many emotions without saying a word. And these
facial expressions are universal.
4. Body language
One can understand and perceive other emotions by their body language. The way
one sits, or talks says a lot about them. The way one carries them conveys a lot of
information.
5. Gestures
Gestures are an important part of non-verbal communication. You may use your
hands when saying something or arguing without thinking. These hand movements
convey a lot of information which can be positive or negative.
6. Eye contact
It is also very important. The way one look at others can communicate affection,
attraction, hatred or interest.
7. Touch
A weak handshake or a warm hug can communicate a lot of information. Hence
touch is an important type of non-verbal communication.
8. Voice
It is not what you say but how you say which is important.
