Prop Reason why/Inspiration
A smart designer polo top/ sweatshirt This is because it will convey the
wealth and style of the ‘DJ’ who
will be on my magazine cover. It
will also depict how the star has
similar style to the audience
member, which gives them a
connection, besides music.
Jeans A common but stylish form of
clothing which many people wear.
This is important because it will
convey how the artist likes to
connect with people on a common
level. I will make sure to use
expensive jeans such as Armani, as
this will also help to portray my
models wealth and good taste in
clothing.
Headphones-beats IT conveys the DJ and studio
producing background that the
artist has. Furthermore ‘Beats’ are
a big brand so it will also convey
the artists wealth as it will connote
that the model easily has enough
money to be able to afford them
and wear them to interviews. The
big brand will also depict to the
reader of the magazine that my
model has a similar taste in brands
to them.
Sunglasses To connote the popularity and
fame of the star. The glasses
connote this as they link to the
theme of paparazzi and interviews.
Furthermore, I will make sure I
use Ray-bans as they are a very
expensive brand of sunglasses and
consequently, this will help to
convey my model’s fame and
wealth.
Expensivelooking watch I will use a gold Rolex to once
again depict that the star is
wealthy and he can afford big
brands of watches etc. This also
will help to convey his success to
the reader of the article and if the
model that I am using for my
magazine is very successful, then it
will help to create ‘Star Appeal’
and make people more likely to
buy the magazine.

I will need to use photoshop for creating
my front cover and my contents page as I
will be able to take advantage of the
advanced tools available to me, in order
to make my magazine cover look as
professional as possible. For example, I
will be able to use the ruler tool to line
everything up and to make my magazine
look as professional as possible.
I will use InDesign to create my DPS, as
it will allow me to use columns to
design both pages of my DPS. This will
help me to neatly create an
aesthetically pleasing DPS,which will
lookprofessional to the eye of any
potential customer whomay buy my
magazine.
