2. In what ways does your media
product use, develop or challenge
forms and conventions of real
media products?
My product uses conventions of real
media products in many ways. This
is my Cover page.
A convention my page uses is the
masthead. This is effective because
it is the biggest piece of font on the
page, making it very visible and
shows the audience that it’s the
most important piece of
information, as it is the name of the
magazine.
3. Misce-en-Scene: Costume
In my Cover page, the mask is
effective because it intrigues
the audience into making
them want to read on, as the
model looks interesting. Also,
as his costume is of him in a
hat, this could be a
convention of the typical
grime artist. As the artist is
not wearing a top, you can
imagine that like most fit
people today, he goes to the
gym.
4. Misce-en-Scene: Lighting
The lighting of my product
was very light, which is a
convention of other media
products as the main image
must be visible. In my
product, the image is very
clear and overly visible.
5. In what ways does your media
product use, develop or challenge
forms and conventions of real
media products?
My product uses conventions
of real media products in
many ways. This is my
Contents Page.
A convention my page follows
is the layout, with the
numbers in a separate
column to the page names.
This is effective because
makes my page look
professional and neat.
6. Misce-en-Scene: Costume
The costumes used in my contents
page were used effectively
because it proves the genre and
target audience I am trying to
represent. As they are both
wearing chains, this proves that
they are rich and care about the
way they look, which is typical in
grime artists these days. Also, as
the artist on the right has a hat
on, you can see that he doesn't
care what people think of him,
and with his facial expression, you
see that he could possibly be
violent.
7. In what ways does your media
product use, develop or challenge
forms and conventions of real
media products?
My product uses the convention
in different ways. This is my
Double Page Spread.
A convention that my product
follows is the use of the main
image. This shows what the
article is about, and who the
main focus is.
Also, the titles of the pages are
in boxes that are in contrasting
colours to the font colour. This
is a convention because
popular magazines do this to
ensure that the audience can
clearly see what the text
reads.
