Production/Final
Products
Include a version of your print
product/screenshots
Include a link to your blog where you
have posted this PP and your final
products – the post on your blog
should be titled ‘Induction Week
Project’
6. Task 4 – Evaluation – Production
Describe three strengths of your final pieces.
1 It is eye catching and easily grabs people's attention because of the bright
and well contrasting colours that have been used.
2 It has been made using a wide variety of photoshop skills
3 All the images used can show what the poster is about before someone even
reads the text so people can tell what it is beforehand.
7. Task 4 – Evaluation – Production
Describe three areas for improvement in your final pieces.
1 Enhance the exposure on images so that they stand out more
2 Name all the layers so it's easier to navigate what layer is what when trying
to experiment with different things.
3 Could have added another image at the top to make the poster less bottom
heavy.
8. Task 4 – Evaluation – Working with others
Choose three aspects of your production where you worked well with your
team, and this benefited the project
1 Not only did we decide on a good font, but we communicated well different
ways to present the font on the poster which made it look more professional
2 My partner found a good way to add another dotted layer to the background
and overlay it over the poster and shared this idea with me which contrasted
nicely with the solid background colour.
3 We discussed an idea to balance the images onto other images which made
it look like they were actually real and made the image look more 3D
9. Task 4 – Evaluation - Feedback
Discuss the feedback you received from your tutor during the project and how
you used this to improve the project
I had feedback that my font colours were a bit mixed and that they clashed a
bit with the rest of the poster, and therefore I should change it all to the
same colour and use a simpler colour. I improved this by changing all the text
to black which stopped it clashing. I also had feedback that my text at the
bottom was a bit off the centre, and it was suggested that I move it more to
the centre. I corrected this by moving all the bottom text to the centre
bottom.
10. Task 4 – Evaluation – Problem Solving
Describe three problems you faced in your project and how you solved these
1 One of the problems I had was lots of my images were very low resolution
and therefore made them look worse when I enlarged them on the poster. As
this was a computer issue there was nothing, I could do about this however I
did make the images a lot smaller than I would have to make the pixels look a
bit clearer.
2 The dotted overlay that I put in the background shows up on top of some of
the images and I think it would have looked better if I fixed that and rubbed
out the overlay in those areas.
