Control
• Control of raw material through the use of FIFO system and ensuring that they are
stored under good condition as well as engaging stock rotation.
• Ensuring that final product specification is at all times achieved.
• Control over labour efficiency in terms of minimizing the overtime payments.

• Planning all the maintaince tasks to be carried out on our mill and liaise with the team
of technicians.
• Development and implementation of production plans inline with departmental goals
and objectives.
• Preparation and monitoring of staff annual leave plans as well as periodic cleaning
program.
• Engaged in a fumigation process as assistant head of fumigation team.
• Reviewing all the activities carried out by the millers, the mill cleaners as well as the
bran packers.
• Monitoring all the periodic scale calibration and liaising with the external experts every
time need arose.
Coordination
• Coordinating all the activities within the department and reporting back to the Operation
Director.
• Addressing the quality inconsistencies and making timely corrections.
• Work hand in hand with the health and safety officer to ensure that hygiene and safety
standards are remarkably met.
• Notify the maintaince department about the possible breakdowns to be attended in order
to avoid excessive down times.
• Work hand in hand with the warehouse supervisor to ensure smooth packing.
Reporting
• To the Operations Director.
• Attend both sales and production meetings on weekly basis.
• Prepares the daily, weekly, monthly production reports and weekly grindout report
subject to the director’s approval.
• Update the production and inventory modules in navision on daily basis whenever
production runs.
• Liaise with the inventory costing section for value analysis.
