The document discusses different types of graphic design, video game, and radio production. It outlines advantages and disadvantages of each medium, including that graphic design allows understanding the end product while not achieving desired results, video games allow pixel-level control but within set styles, and radio production is fast if planned but collaborators may disagree. Details are provided on tools used like Photoshop and Premiere Pro and strengths/weaknesses evaluated for specific projects like not adding backgrounds or transitions between music samples being too abrupt.
3. Graphic Design Production
⢠Advantages of working in this medium
⢠You will be getting to the end point you want, also you can
understand where it is going to end up as.
⢠Disadvantages of working in this medium
â You may not have fully got the end product you would like
as some small parts you might not be able to do with the
tools or what you know.
4. Graphic Design Production
Both us the same
âdrawn upâ style
to them, this art
style will gain
attention from
younger and
older people,
widening the
target audience.
Then have to
short
impactful
slogan so itâll
be a lot easier
to remember
the poster as a
whole.
The branding and
logos used are made
very visible on the
posters so that the
brand is easy to
recognize with little
effort.
In both
posters the
person looks
happy and
glad to be
getting the
product.
5. Graphic Design Production
One weakness is
that the final
product isnât
very touched up
and there are a
few small things
to change. This
happens for
something such
as not adding in
the background
of the coke
bottle.
The program used was photo
shop to do the poster. Multiple
different tools was used such as
the âmagic brushâ and the
âclone toolâ. To match the
background colour used a tool
to get the exact color used.
6. Radio Production
⢠Advantages of working in this medium
⢠It is generally quite easy to put it all together and be done fast
if you have I planned out before hand. Also, most if not all of
the sounds are sampled so you can get everything fast and it
isn't hard to find.
⢠Disadvantages of working in this medium
⢠A disadvantage is that will the person you are working with
could have different ideas to you or want it to be completely
different (such as theme or setting).
7. Radio Production
⢠The final product doesnât have a very similar existing product as its many types
pushed into one. For example it has links with the older pre war adverts by
using a very high tempo 'dance' type song as all old adverts used. Also, in most
Coca Cola adverts they build up to a main part showing the product being
used and in hand the mood being lifted and becomes more joyful. I used this
as well by having a coke being opened, which is the peak of the whole ad.
⢠After that is then takes parts from newer ads. When the coke is opened is
changes to a more modern beat/song so it has parts for people who enjoy the
old style and the new one.
⢠The main difference is that it mixes a lot of things into one ad as I'm trying to
gain the likes of everyone. Also, the beat used for the morden parts comes
from a trap/ hip hop song which isn't done often. Normally they use song from
the charts that are known by everyone and that a worldwide.
8. Radio Production
⢠The changes that I would make is that there to too big of a gap with the two
music samples. I could find a faster song for the pre war (first) song, or I
could find a slower song for the modern (second) song. This as a whole would
make the ad a lot more fluent as itâs a sudden change.
⢠The tools and hardware I used was; Adobe Premiere Pro for mixing and
putting it all together, YouTube for getting all the audio clips I used and then
used a YouTube to MP3 converter to transfer the clips from YouTube to Adobe.
⢠In Adobe I used the basic tools to cut and trim the audio to make it fit
together. Also, I had to use fades to make it run smoothly so its got no sudden
stops and doesnât sound choppy.
⢠I then leveled all the audio out so it all sounds the same and that some sounds
donât peak to high or it'll start to get distorted.
10. Video Game Production
⢠Advantages of working in this medium
⢠You can make it fully how you want it to look as you can can
go down to the pixel. Also, if you know what your doing its
easy to animate and simple.
⢠Disadvantages of working in this medium
⢠A disadvantage of this is that you have to do it in a set style,
that my not have beem fully what you wanted. Also,
11. Video Game Production
Both games use
squares or keeping it
simple with a blocky
theme. This because it
is easy to put parts
together.
12. Video Game Production
Include an image of your final product and,
using text boxes and arrows, discuss the
strengths, weaknesses and changes you would
make to the product. Reference
tools/hardware employed in the production
and/or post production of the finished piece
13. Comparison
⢠Which product do you believe advertises the
product the best? Why? Product Design as it is
the best as everyone. For other advertising it could
only appeal for some type or groups of people.
⢠Which of your products is the most
professional? Why? The most professional one
would be the radio because of the time and
production software used to make it.
