Pearl and Dean have categorized the audience
by gender, age, family, culture.
The target audience for revenge is 16-30 year
old. Revenge would fall in the red category
(diagram on the right.). Other films in this
category is ‘kong; skull island’ , ‘fast and furious
8’, ‘keep watching’ and ‘unlocked’. These films
fall under the genre of thriller, horror, action and
crime. Revenge would fit into this category
created by ‘Pearl and Dean’
3. Channel 4
Channel 4 have categorized their audience by interest
and the type of person an individual is.
Using channel 4’s categorizing system, the target
audience for revenge would be an activist, people who
actively fight against domestic abuse as the storyline
will really relate to their cause. It will help the audience
recognise abuse and how to stop it and get out of the
cycle of abuse.
Channel 4’s system of categorizing the audience is
prefered to pearl and dean’s system as abuse does
not have an age limit and can affect people of all
ages.
